  • Based on the scale yesterday, I am a couple pounds heavier then my previous pull-up max out video. Kipped the last 2 reps.

Hey man. I do pull ups and i can tell you with 100% assurance, those won't build you muscle or strength anywhere near if you cut the number in half and really stabilise your core, your legs and hold the top and bottom whilst really focusing on the movement not just wanting your chin over the bar. I believe it works and the results are ridiculous. Pull ups not only build your back but your pecs and core too. Think it over my man and you're brave putting yourself on the internet. Cheers 🍻

In my experience both quality and quantity are important, and I focus on each one one at a time for continuous progress.
Gonna test my max weighted pull-ups soon to see my strength, see you.

@@fitnesswithsaswatsahoo2116 the thing is with weighted pull ups 2 things will happen 1) you're likely to injure yourself 2) all of your 'bad' habits which puts your joints and muscles are extremes will be muti fold.
In the same manner volume and frequency with quality will trump the quantity, it's your body at the end of the day

@@garvsabbarwal3000 It sounds arrogant, but I am 100% sure I will not injure myself. I have never been hurt doing pull-ups.
I have been doing pull-ups for 8 of the last 11 years and if anything I can intuitively tell a main reason it took such an obscene amount of time to reach 29 pull-ups that too with this form was because I didn't do weighted pull-ups regularly.

@@fitnesswithsaswatsahoo2116 the thing is we think time invested in something as the same as acquiring knowledge. You can go cook food your whole time without ever realising that there are better ways to do things even as basic as chopping or correctly frying. Try to do 10 full range pull ups. I saw your first video, the current one though is an improvement but the core essence of it is the same, you're creating momentum and not using the elongated stretch at the bottom nor are you engaging your core as your legs do move around.

Personally i gotta say you're doing excelent. Pull ups are meant to build back and arms, so shit has nothing to do with "core". If you want core, do abs crunches. Keep going.

I don't want to be a negative person here but that's not proper pull ups since you're swinging your head over the bar. Your body should go up straight above the bar. The reason you can do 20+ plus cause you're building muscle memory and endurance. But it's not gonna build strength cause you're doing it wrong. 10 proper pull ups will build strength and muscular back. Quality over quantity bro

@@abdulkaium1199 I'm not talking about arched back pull ups. The pull ups he is doing is equivalent to half push ups. Where you can do 30+ push ups cause you're not doing full range of motion. But if you do proper push ups, you'll actually build upper body strength. Same with his pull ups here. He is not using his back at all. Anyone with gym or calisthenics experience can tell you that. He is only swinging his body up and down using his "arms" and biceps. Muscle memory and muscle endurance. But not lats
