Actually a flat frequency response is a rare thing for earphones in this range and it is not a bad thing. It simply means that all frequencies are highly balanced. In fact professionals use flat headphones to mix and master. I have the e10c and yes they sound very flat. But the thing is that it is "tuned" to be flat. If you want more pronounced bass you can adjust that with equaliser. And in that case it does not disappoint. A flat response is easy to manipulate with an EQ. But most earphones in low budget are not flat. They are V or U shaped for two reasons; first being the fact that people actually like that sound profile. The second reason is that unbalanced earphones are easier to make. E10C can actually have a nice bassy output if you adjust it with the equaliser and that too without losing on other frequencies of the spectrum. Here is where E10C is superior. It has the potential to sound good in any sound profile, whereas other earphones simply lose out when tweaking the EQ. And yes, the sound stage is actually good. The only problem I had would be that I didn't like the fit.
The E10C is anything but flat. It is a bassy earphone but not sony bassy. Although the bass quantity is mainly focused on midbass. Good for EDM. Decent soundstage. But unrefined highs. I have used every single one of E10 series. From the first E10 to the E10C and the latest E11C. My favourite is E10C out of these bunch due to it's bass mainly but it's nothing special to right home about. The E11C is brighter and the bass is not impressive. And for music they dont seem to fit every genre. Although after changing the eartips with bigger cut outs, the sound become a little more open and balanced and the earphones sound better overall but only in low to medium volume. If you can manage to get your hands on the samsung akg earphones that come pre bundled with their mobile phones, you'll be shocked to hear how crazy good they are. I have used Fiio FH1S, iBasso IT00, the soundmagics and few sonys, but none of them hold a candle against the samsung ones. I recently bought a second hand pair from a Galaxy S8 owner. It's crazy to think these come for free with their phones but I heard they are sold for 7k seperately. Even at that price they are still magnificent.
I'm sure these are not studio grade headphones and hence "flat" meant "relatively flat" . I agree with what you've said. I haven't used the entire range, just the e10c. I am praising it because it easily is better than any other in this price.

Is it because of the low music streaming quality ( which is 160kb/s) or because I use oneplus' type c dongle because my phone doesn't have a jack port ? Should I buy an external DAC? You can go with sony xm series or sennheiser momentum, bt658 etc. All these have ANC and also some come with wired functionality. All these will suit your requirements.
Obviously ex255ap .. but I'd suggest u to add some more money and buy xb55ap cause they are much more value for money if you like bass . If you don't like bass much tyen take ex255ap

Are u crazy treble and mids are never at same level use a dac these headphones support hi fi to get full out of this headphone you need to have a good system it's 10 times better than Sony senhizer etc at this price its a pure gem it's just your system or shallow taste of music ie bass heads
Already invested 70k alone in a pc with RYZEN 3600 and nvidia 1660 super graphics card, having a Google pixel as well....let me know if there is any scope of upgrade :)... Is it just a DAC that matters.
