  • A multi-award winning earphone, the E10C needs no introduction. The E11C, on the other hand is the relatively new addition to the SoundMAGIC lineup of earphones. Raghav compares the SoundMAGIC E10C with the E11C so that you can decide which one's the right choice for you.

    -----------------
I have with me today the SoundMAGIC E10C which is a very very popular earphone at a very affordable price point of less than 2000 rupees. Now SoundMAGIC for those of you who aren't familiar has been around for a while. They're known for making some really good sounding earphones at very reasonable budgets and the E10C is their most popular earphone over the years. You'll find that the E10C is made from a really high quality plastic housing. You can see that the earphones are well built; they've got an L-shaped connector made out of metal which is quite durable. You'll find that it works perfectly fine with mobile phones, players, AMP's and DAC's without any issues.
You'll also find that the cable has got this plastic sheathing on it. Which they use to keep the earphones durable against cable tear. You may not be a big fan of the aesthetics but the earphones themselves are well built. The only thing that's a little disappointing is that it only comes with a one-year warranty but given that the earphones are well built. I don't think you should have an issue with them.Of course they come along with an inline mic for you to pick up and drop calls when you're using the mobile phone but one of the things that is quite rare to find these days is that it also comes with a three button controller. That allows you to increase and decrease volume, change tracks, pick up and drop calls right from the earphone themselves.
Now talking about the sound of the SoundMAGIC E10C. I think they've gone for a very distinctive V-shaped sound signature. When I say that, what i mean is that the treble and the bass have both been turned up a little bit and they've both been just exaggerated a little bit more than they should be. So that it sounds exciting the minute you put it into your ears. This is a very popular sound signature for people who are buying their first earphones because you want them to sound exciting the minute you put them on. There's that extra thump in the bass that a little extra sparkle in the treble. The only downside to this is that it doesn't sound very natural and especially the mids which is where the vocals are feel recessed, feel a little distant.
Now this hasn't stopped people from buying the SoundMAGIC E10C because you have to keep in mind that at the budget. They still sound very very good as compared to virtually every other earphone out there. Now if you're somebody who, like me, is looking for a little bit more natural sound. A little bit more neutral and balanced sound signature and you're looking for a little bit more detail in the mid's. So that the vocals sound rich and accurate and believable really. Then here's my recommendation. The SoundMAGIC E11C it's more or less exactly the same as the E10C. With the addition of couple of changes that they have done to the internals of the earphone. It's got all the good things about the E10C. The build quality, the 3 button mic and controller all of that but the driver units on these are a little bit more refined. The mid's have been balanced out a little bit more the treble and the bass has been cooled off a little bit
So now it sounds a lot better. It sounds a lot more believable when you listen to this music. It sounds a lot more real life like for a little bit more money the E11C is probably my favorite SoundMAGIC earphone in this segment and you'll find that if you're someone who's progressing
from an exciting V-shaped sound signature to something that's a little bit more nuanced and a little bit more balanced. Then the little extra money that you're paying for the E11C will take you a long long way. Now with that guys I hope that i've made your choice a little easier and I hope that you're able to pick between the E10C and the E11C.I have preference one of the two but i leave your choice to you

Used my Soundmagic E10C for around two years, loved them! I was totally satisfied with my purchase. But what starts to happen after a year or so of daily usage is that one side starts to drop in volume compared to the other, till the time it completely wears off.
I'm using Soundmagic E11BT right now, they're good too, with better sound quality than E10C (and way better than any other bluetooth earphones out there under 4k) but my particular unit abruptly disconnects Bluetooth while using during a cellular call, many a times (like 7 out of 10 calls), and then doesn't even pair back, they have to be put on charging to be able to pair again. I sent it back to headphonezone within a week of buying them, they kept it for like 2 weeks and sent it back as it is, saying they couldn't find anything wrong with them. That was October/November 2019. Now I'm stuck with them, still using them though for their sound quality and battery life. But this abruptly disconnecting issue during a call is just so damn frustrating!

Bought the E10C from Headphone Zone , and its been my beloved pair for more than 2 years ... the sheath of the cables have started to peel off , and yet the earphones still work just as good ( just a small issue of having to hold the mic really close to my mouth now for the recipient to hear me) . Now I'm planning to get a new pair of in-ears. My immediate picks were the E11C (cuz the E10C was amazing), Blon BL03, and the KZ ZST X. For your needs, the E11C is a solid choice as it provides both good microphone quality and sound quality. However, if you're open to exploring other options, the Final Audio lineup is also worth considering. They offer excellent microphone quality, and the sound quality is equally impressive. Additionally, the earphones from Final Audio are known for their comfort, which should suit your needs well. Ultimately, it comes down to your personal preferences and budget, but both the SoundMagic E11C and Final Audio models would be apt choices for your requirements.

Hey Raghav! I had Soundmagic ES18 several years ago at around Rs 500 and it was the best earphone I ever used. But they have discontinued it as it seems. I tried several earphones from several different brands like JBL, Sennheiser, Bout, Mivi, Sony and several other but never ever got the experience that I had with ES18. Recently got KZ ZEX. Its good but I didn't like that as much as the ES18. Specially the sound imaging and the 3D or 8D I felt with ES18 is missing from every earphone I tried. And the sound imaging of my KZ are not good. I really miss my ES18 and currently in the hunt to find any IEM or headphone that can provide me with that experience.
Do you have any suggestions for around 5k that can provide me the similar experience? Either in the form of headphone or IEM. Some Soundmagic earphones are still available online that cost very much and the quality of cables is the deal breaker for me.

No complaint when it comes to Audio Quality. (I have owned both the E10 and E11C).
After using my E10 almost every day for more than a year. The plastic on the wires started to peel off. So, I got the E11 from Headphonezone, as a replacement for my E10.
I like the Audio Quality on the E11C and I think it is worth the upgrade. But after using it for about 7 Months, the left side volume becomes lower and lower over time till you can hardly hardly hear anything. As it was still under 1 Year Warranty. I have to RMA it and wait for over 3 Weeks for a new replacement to be sent. But the same issue arise even with the new replacement unit within 6 Months. It was no longer covered by Warranty at it was already more than 1 Year from my purchase date of the earlier E11C.
So, I am just sharing my experience with my SoundMagic earphones for anyone who is planning to get one. I know, it could be an isolated case and maybe I'm just unlucky. It was a bit disappointing as I really like their Sound Signature and Audio Quality.

MA 390 has a warm sound while E11c has a V - shaped sound signature. Ma390 is also very ideal for taking calls can't say the same thing about e11c with the same confidence. Also, importantly 390 has 2 years of warranty & e11c has one. So to conclude, we recommend RHA MA390.
