Jang, the hairpiece that goes on ghoul-principal, could you throw a quick view in the next set that uses it and see if the flipped hairpiece allows for the eye to be seen in that hair-parting?

The bench being its own little ghoul is just so extra. I love it.
I love how they don't explain the lore behind lady E and Teddy bear leaving it for imagination. It adds on the mystery

I suspect she'll play a role as mystery-historical-figure-turned-antagonist in the show and later waves of sets

Maybe its an Alyssa situation (silent Hill fans will get this). Maybe this lady e is the one bringing all these ghosts to this town through her negative feelings.
Actually, I've been reading through the back story, and it seems that she wanted to live forever, so she had a scientist make her a potion, and although it worked, it was to forever haunt as a ghost, and the teddy bear was one of her workers that desided to take the form of her bear after he died
I grew up in the 80s when it was thought that it was healthy for kids to see scary things. Movies like Dark Crystal, Goonies, Ghostbusters, Return To Oz, Witches, etc...Are testament to that.
Mr. Nobody probably not the same type of scary movies that they have today

Same here. I actually watch those movies with my 3-4 year old sons and the love every bit of those classics. Plus original Turtles and Nightmare before Christmas.
I'm glad that stickers really don't bother me. The stickers are pretty much this set's only drawback, and I don't mind them!
Lego in 2031: You open the box and pull out a huge flat plate. Seems unremarkable at first, and then you put the single large sticker on it! Now you've got a cool lego playset.
Either that or they just sell a bunch of blank pieces in one set, and then you could buy different sticker sets. Even the minifigs are no more, all replaced by stickers of minifigs. xD

This is my favourite theme since Monster Fighters! I love the new and different parts in some of these sets. I really hope they come out with another wave of this theme in the future. Another great video Jang! Keep it up. Cheers
The only thing I didn't like with monster fighters is that the train can't be used on a Lego railway. (You could mod it to work on track. :/)
I really love how good this set looks before and after the transformation! Same with the minifigures! And it has even more space around the back than I expected. Will definitely have to pick this one up!
the way the designed Mr. Nibs the teddy bear in set but 'specially in the app is a teeny bit terrifying
This set really reminds me of the build style of the 2012 Arkham Asylum set, makes me want to get it and put them beside each other😆
A pg horror Lego theme? Cool! I'm 19 years old and I feel a bit frightened of some of the great details (awkward).
I've been waiting for a range that is geared for older ages that isn't serious architecture, but can also pass for a kids range. This is perfect!

The teddy bear is the mastermind behind it all. He summoned all the ghosts that show up in all of the sets. He started everything.

Yes yes YES This is the set I wanted you look at! My day is complete almost 30min of pure JOY!! I have seen one other review of this set but you do it so much better so much detail! This and the Hidden Side Ghost Train Express are at the top of my list thanks to you.

Stickers are useful and cost a lot less than prints. They benefit the set! 😀
I absolutely hate stickers. I'm a perfectionist and made two mistakes in my Shipwreck set.
They bug me so much and I can't even control it. Sure I can buy a new sticker sheet, but meh...
Of course, I could try to get them off, but I'm to scared (Pun not intended) to destroy them.

Lego is definitely very good with replacing parts. They're also very helpful and generous with the parts they send out in general. They did me a huge solid sending me some trans-purple ccbs bones (VERY RARE pieces) for my Maskmaker Makuta MOC. And even outright helped me acquire the parts to build Terak. Really really thankful to Lego for helping me collect some G2 Bionicle sets this year.

I’m amazed how this set transforms! It’s awesome. I think I will pick this up. Maby close it up at the back to make it a full modularish build. Great video jang. I think the stickers are ok cause they add so much. (I´m 38yo I think the faces are scary) I’m not going to use any ghosts.

You could have just called them. One time I bought a hero factory set, but it didn't have the torso piece. I called and they gave me the part I needed. The worst part of it is that it was my first hero factory set.
Love this set. In my top 5 of any I've ever built (I have a lot). So much fun, so many details and the value for money is great. The Shrimp boat is my 2nd favourite build of the set (so much so I'll likely be another one).

Regarding brick issues ☹️ I’ve over 600 LEGO sets and requested about 4-5 times missing parts that got me banned.
It’s so upsetting missing a part or get broken lego parts. Now some sets can’t be finished. Opening a new set has become more of a risk than joy 😭
talking about stickers...yesterday I built the set 60226, it doesn't have many stickers but I had some problems, in particular the stickers on the white tail shuttle were a little tricky to put on.
Great review as always! With a 4yo into Friends, HP and modular buildings, I'm probably going to MOC the heck out of this with the transformation/monster play features removed.

LEGO support is probably the best in the world when it comes to costumer service and replacement of parts. back in 2015 I bought the Wall-E set in the Berlin LEGO store while on vacation, that was before they fixed the neck issue mind you. when I got back home and built it I sent them an email asking for instructions on how to fix the neck because I'm from Israel and they don't ship to me from the online shop so I never expected them to actually be able to send me the pieces. I even specified that in my email but they actually sent me everything that I needed to fix it without charging anything.

For whatever reason, this set doesn't float my boat like, well, the boat! I do love the inherent necessity of play features to transform the sets to the scary version, though.

This would work really well with the Ghostbuster's theme, I hope this works out and they do augmented reality with more stuff (such as Ghostbusters or Ninjago or maybe even Castle if they bring back the skeleton army or maybe even expand on this theme into more... Lovecraftian areas.)
I bought a sealed Bionicle set from 2006 on Ebay and it was missing a piece that luckily was still in production at the time. I called Lego about it and they sent me the piece for free. So yeah their replacement service is really good, I was expecting them to say they couldn't replace parts on sets that old.

I want lego to make a lego hidden side combine set of the Newberry school. For example a set could be the library and it would have a larger and more detailed room. It would almost be each room would have their own set and they all combine and each would make a haunted part of the school, and it would have a larger and more detailed school. It would have more minifigures, it would be a great financial choice for lego, and it would be great for lego fans.
I hoped this series will be like that, but nope, we are getting BEACH BUGGY

I like this set and I planned on getting it because it’s a school . Something I think that’s we been needing from LEGO for sometime now . The “hidden “ stuff the transformation I am hoping can be left out completely . After watching this review I now want reuse my LEGO Batman movie Arkham (it’s in pieces) I think with both sets I can build more of a dollhouse type of school build. Clearly this is just ideal . The floor layout and the “ brick “ color seem to be the same color as the Arkham set ..
