I'm starting to think I was the only one that chose to thank Hydaelyn. It's like, we'd have never even made it out of ARR if not for her. She did all of this shit, when through incredible suffering, for our sake. A thank you is the least of what she deserves.
@@AsaelTheBeast the best thank you we can give her is relieving her of the loneliness of a thousand lifetimes being the only one knowing what truly happened on that day.
@@AsaelTheBeast That's why I always found the "We will find our way" option to be the best. During the Elpis section of MSQ at one point she mentioned how she wouldn't be able to let go of her charges and stuff until they were able to find their own way and walk their own path. By us telling her we will find our way, and taking charge to go deal with the final battle, she can finally let go and know that all those untold years of her keeping the Star safe have lead to this moment. The world's inhabitants are ready to forge their own path and she can finally rest.
I still find myself coming back to see this every month or so. it's a really powerful sequence that hits like a truck. I didn't want her to go and yet can't blame her for finally getting her well earned rest. it's a moment that still hurts and also fills you with hope. it's powerful in a way I don't think movies or books could ever be.
I'm glad this is up, because right as Hydaelyn was disappearing, my game froze and I had to close it. Figures it happens right at the end of the cutscene >.> But yeah, poor Venat. She was such a loveable character right off the bat, and then all that craziness happened and she was left alone to deal with everything herself...and becoming Hydaelyn only increased her burden. I'm so glad they gave you the option to call her Venat instead of Hydaelyn, because I would have been upset otherwise. They may not have spent much time together, but you could tell they were good friends when your character ends up leaving.
Good friends? You are her Offspring, when she calls you "My Champion", she is referring you as her successor, in literal words "Offspring". Moreover, how are you able to master many roles and hold so much power?
A thing I really like about this scene is her final closure. Hydaelyn spends half the scene being a plot device to explain everything, but it’s talking to you when it becomes very personal. Answering her lets her finally show the emotions she’s had to hold back for her stoic guiding nature. It’s a very touching scene just to finally lay her out.
This fight felt like a finish to the sparring match in Elpis. Both the WoL and Venat/Hydaelyn no longer needing to hold back. Also this scene was just feels city.
I would say #1 was Venat's walk, second was learning about Flow. Coming back to Sharlayan and hearing the music after knowing the lyrics hit different. Oh also FINALLY hearing the "song of hope" in-game after wondering since the trailer why it had not shown up yet. But this is certainly up there as well.
Honestly when i got here and saw her form for the first time I was shocked how she was made and loved how gentle her words were even when she got ready for combat against us. Also yes I was surprised as well when you can use the Scions inside this MSQ trial. I so went in to it with them. Lots of people asked me "Why did you do that?" I told them straight out. I started this journey with them and used them since beginning of Shadowbringers. It is only right I finish this with them! I was sad to see her go but I know she had to go. It had to be balanced. Since Zodiark was dead and he was her dark sadly Hydaelyn had to go as well otherwise Light would over balance things is one reason i thought she had to go but man so gentle is she and loving to us did she put up one hell of a battle. At the end before she vanished I made a screenshot that made it look like my Miqo'te was reaching a hand out to her.
This is a game not afraid to kill its main characters, even its overarching major characters. FFXIV turned out to be unexpected emotionally brutal game.
It was a scrapped idea from 2.0 before they fleshed out the full story. The full XIV story wasn’t Road mapped until HW especially what was happening with the Ascians and Zodiark so it was just a placeholder to show how significant he was as a big bad.
I come back here from time to time to just remind myself of the final words of the most heinous murderer in all of FF14. Whatever her reasoning she is responsible for the deaths of 8 shards , the ancients , and countless other stars. She is a monster. I don't feel sad when she got her permanant soul death she deserved it. I can only hope we never have another Hydaelyn.
As a legacy player from the beginning, it almost felt like losing my grandma again.
“We’ll find our way, Venet.” That sigh of relief she let out because she can finally rest still gets me

I would've liked an option to say get out of the way. Damn primals
@@AsaelTheBeast No, I chose that one because it made me start crying when I read it.
That tear that rolls down when you call her by her true name 💜😢

Time and time again this expansion and shadowbringers tore my fucking heart out. I will never forget these characters.
i can never get tired of the crystals entrance everytime just pure chills. especially with the rebirth prelude T.T
as someone who bottles up emotions this is the first time i ever cried like real cried to a video game and i still cry with this video

Just finished Endwalker and this scene hit so hard. Such awesome writing and voice acting.
Perhaps it was shock value that made Close in the distance make me cry but now, looking back, this scene and Flow make me cry a lot more.

Such a beautiful design and character. Good work Yoshi-P & devs for this!

The only way to do this trial the first time was with your Scion companions. Truly and truthfully.
Wow, you time the music perfectly with when Hydaelyn finally disappears. Beautiful moment.

It still gets to me deeply to this day
God damn chills whenever the blade forms and that music starts
why came i back? to suffer? D: I miss you Venat D:
I think when every scion turn to another player it's weird for me.
You're not alone. I get constant temptation to make a Midlander with a Stubble for these videos.
I know that this may be dumb but do we now anything about the corrupted zodiark crystal?

it was a bad dream xD
What is the last part songs name
Flow
Did you find out the name of the song because I couldn’t find it ?
@@TheCybernaut75 it’s called Flow
And the very first one?
@@LPinchon The Coil Tightens, it’s from the ARR Soundtrack.
Watch the part where she dies while listening to inheritors of arcadia and try not to cry
Challenge level: Impossible.
Yeah spoil people with titles is so fun 😡
You shouldn’t of even come on CZcams whatsoever if you hadn’t finished the story yet.
The fault is with you entirely.
read the first word in the title lol
Yeah sure bro
I'm the only one that doesn't read one word at a time lol
@@metallicolor Oh well. You'll get over it.
This is why I blacklisted all social media as well as hid all chat until I finished MSQ. Sorry it got spoiled for you
Perfect songs for this moment are:
Dear Mama - Tupac
Cleaning out my closet - Eminem
