@@cryingwolf4955 Tbf, her fear has a huge CD, shown by a clip of a Rioter testing her. Iirc about 13 seconds. Her passive is basically Fiddlesticks Q passive, but she doesn't have to be hidden. As for the dash interruption, anything other than her W will make it insanely hard to hit and so it's really more a defensive ability for when she gets jumped on. It's basically Poppy W, but it only lasts for about half a second, which is... pretty crap to say the least. And complaining about AoE control/burst mages is funny, looking at how those have literally the worst playrates of all, namingly Lissandra, Taliyah, Orianna, Kennen, Fiddlesticks etc
Being too simple is often a detriment to balance because you b come a stat check problem. A tiny buff is a huge buff and a tiny nerf is a huge nerf because all you have are numbers and no complexity outside of that to mitigate some of the changes. Dr. Mundo was like that before his rework. He was so simple that it was almost impossible to balance. Now they added a few more conditions and features to his abilities and balancing him is much easier. Having overloaded kits makes balance mich easier because you have a lot more levers to play with and see their effects and if needed just remove a few levers (reworked Akali on release vs now). Balance is a very complex statistical field. Too simple and you run into exponential problems. Too complex and you don't understand the causes of change. Balancing a champion like Akshan or Viego is much easier than someone like Jinx or Malphite for example.

Im just so glad she's simple, she isnt the "generic anime character with 10 passives and things that make no sense", her kit actually seems reasonable and not overloaded with things
Every third auto attack she gains a burst of movement speed and a shield, if she cancels this auto she instead turns invisible indefinitely while touching terrain and dealing % max health damage upon exiting stealth. She also gains tenacity for each point of omnivamp she has and bonus CDR for each 20 mana she has. Every 35 seconds she gains a windwall shield that absorbs incoming projectiles and turns them into bonus omnivamp, this cooldown is reduced by her mana regen... did I miss something?
Lets wait till we see numbers, I can imagine they give her r execute dmg and it looks pretty hard to dodge, plus the many fears she has she could deffo turn out overloaded
I love the sound effects on her abilities. They're all so unsettling and give off the vibe that Shadow's laughing at you for being feared or hit by the ability.
I love how "classic" her kit is. Unique passive, Q deals damage with a unique type of skillshot, W is a defensive skill, E is a utility skill that synergies with her other abilities and R is a flashy damage dealing ability which has resets but puts her at risk.

NGL with so many mobile champs, having basically just poppy that stops any dashes its nice to have new addition...i dig her passive, while her fear gives her so much more use in roaming or starting a fight...with her spells I can even see her just building tanky and use her passive most of the time while her ult keeps her on enemies and denying them from escaping

Yas was specifically mentioned as someone she didnt care about dashing around half a screen away but if yone was to dash straight at her she would have a problem. So not entirely sure if that means dashing too close will affect you but you should be able to farm fine.
The fact she's fearing people away instead of outright killing them so they can never bother her again makes me wonder if she actively tries to not kill people.
She has soooo many get off me tools, i love it, seems like she will have good skill expression too and no overly long passive descriptions or random passives that don't need to be there, i love her already

I love her kit and execution of the fear mechanic. Her passive alone is a good way to counteract against a majority of the last few champs and that's a + for me

I love that Riot finally released one champion that doesn't seems to have an over loaded kit, the gameplay feels like an anti carry with her dash cancel but i feel like she can also be a carry with her ult reset, pretty versatile champ while not too over tuned nice ! very nice !

@@MsST3F4N reworked akali is her own type of mess cause she sammarize the problem with assassins in lol. Instead of a high risk high reward kit, they give utility and ease damage to all assassins. Kalista has a more accurate assassin kit than any assassin in the game. And she is a pure adc. The problem with akali is not her utility but her unreasonable damage. Instead of consentrating the majority of her damage on her ult(as an execution mechanic), and on the Passive and have her e as a utility ability with small damage and a spammable q with mediocre damage, they have created this monster that has the q nerfed and buffed every few patches cause they don't understand how the assassin class should work. Akali's problem is easily fixable but riot just does not understand that. Here problem is not her 4 dashes, but the inbalanced distribution of her damage and ability costs.

A very back-to basics simple champ. The Doom N Gloom passive makes you wanna keep an eye out on when you have your skills empowered for a trade. Definitely wanna try her out as a tank tho. :D
I don't think I'll be coming back to League, but they did do a good job with Vex. Shadow Isles is my favorite faction/land, so props for them having their first Shadow Isles yordle.

As a Yasuo main, I'm excited to be feared on the 0.1s cooldown of my E.
Yas was specifically mentioned as someone she didnt care about dashing around half a screen away but if yone was to dash straight at her she would have a problem. So not entirely sure if that means dashing too close will affect you but you should be able to farm fine.

I love this more, simplistic but intriguing champion design they’re going with. Not some academic essay, just simple, easy and fun.
I love that Riot finally released one champion that doesn't seems to have an over loaded kit, the gameplay feels like an anti carry with her dash cancel but i feel like she can also be a carry with her ult reset, pretty versatile champ while not too over tuned nice ! very nice !
I think she is an anti-assasin/diver more than anti-carry. She should fit Orianna or Annie role.
Finally a champion that doesn't force me to write a seminar work to understand it.

Galio's rework literally gave him an ult with more cooldown that was nerfed to have even more cooldown. Akali rework did the same.
@@MsST3F4N reworked akali is her own type of mess cause she sammarize the problem with assassins in lol. Instead of a high risk high reward kit, they give utility and ease damage to all assassins. Kalista has a more accurate assassin kit than any assassin in the game. And she is a pure adc.
The problem with akali is not her utility but her unreasonable damage. Instead of consentrating the majority of her damage on her ult(as an execution mechanic), and on the Passive and have her e as a utility ability with small damage and a spammable q with mediocre damage, they have created this monster that has the q nerfed and buffed every few patches cause they don't understand how the assassin class should work.
Akali's problem is easily fixable but riot just does not understand that. Here problem is not her 4 dashes, but the inbalanced distribution of her damage and ability costs.

A very back-to basics simple champ. The Doom N Gloom passive makes you wanna keep an eye out on when you have your skills empowered for a trade. Definitely wanna try her out as a tank tho. :D
