Passive - We Are More
Naafiri creates a Packmate after an amount of time that will attack enemies that she targets for physical damage, which is increased after she uses an ability. Hitting champions with abilities or killing enemies reduces this ability’s cooldown.
Q - Darkin Daggers
Naafiri hurls Darkin-tainted blades, dealing physical damage and inflicting a bleed for a few seconds.This ability may be recast. If enemies hit are already bleeding, instead deal the remaining bleed damage plus bonus physical damage and missing health physical damage. If the target was a champion, Naafiri restores some health. Packmates will leap at the first target hit, prioritizing champions and attacking them for a few seconds.
W - Hounds’ Pursuit
After a brief delay, Naafiri dashes at an enemy, dealing physical damage and briefly slowing her target or the first champion she collides with. This ability gains range based on ultimate rank. Packmates become untargetable and dash alongside Naafiri, dealing additional damage per Packmate.
E - Eviscerate
Naafiri surges forward, dashing and dealing physical damage to enemies she passes through, then explodes outward, dealing additional physical damage. Packmates are recalled to Naafiri and are healed to full.
R - The Call of the Pack
Naafiri prepares to hunt, empowering her Packmates and spawning bonus Packmates for a short duration. Naafiri then gains a burst of out of combat Movespeed, vision, and the first time she hits an enemy champion, she gains a shield. On first champion takedown, all ultimate effects are refreshed. - Hry

Elise spiders not that strong i think perhaps annie tibbers or ivern daisy would been better comps would been .Naafiri mid and yorick top in all cases, Then u can flex on bot malzahar/annie mostly it would been malza. Jungle elise, ivern or belveth. Then support ivern, annie, elise and even belveth can be played on that role as shown in korean challenger. Would been fun comps honestly. Ad and ap dmg. One-two tanky champs. Few disengage or engage options plus a splitpusher monster.

@@PawelNevI mean, while not being that strong they can still absorb 3-5 tower shots and are prioritized by towers over minions, Yorick ghouls/Maiden, and void remora.
With Malz spawning 2 voidlings every 5 seconds you can really extend the life of the void remora, ghouls, and Naafari packmates(maybe, we don't know yet, but as they only attack targets she's attacking and are important to her kit I would imagine they don't have target priority over regular minions).
Add on that the Maiden spawns new ghouls every time a minion dies near her, and every time a minion dies near enhanced Belveth she spawns a new remora, and you kinda have an infinite army with spawning between 18 minions every 30 seconds(6 regular from the 30 second spawn interval, 12 from malz spamming q-w every 5 seconds, this is the absolute minimum fyi). Belveth adds another 6 per 30 seconds with her spawns, Elise can add 4 per 12 seconds without ability haste so that's another 6 at minimum, and Yorick adds 5 with ult, and can add up to 6 more per minion wave as long as at least one ghoul dies before an enemy minion does each time.
In a perfect scenario, with max possible spawns from everyone(6 from Belveth, 6 from Yorick, 12 from Malz, Elise is hard to calculate but she can get 4 every 6 seconds with 50% cdr as long as all of them die first, but then you also have the wave after wave of voidlings stopping that so let's just stick with the 4 per 12 seconds, and Naafari will be given 2 per 30 seconds because we don't know how hers works yet.
So that's an army of 4(Yorick ult) + 29 nonstacking per 30s(Elise, Malz, Yorick, Naafari), + 12 stacking per 30 seconds(base minions + void remora). Massive.

A thing i just dont get is why a long ability description is meant to be a bad thing? I see this so much with league but long champion descriptions like, never actually mean anything about the champion in question, and short ones usually mean its just a boring statchecker like nasus, Jhins passive is like a page long but everyone seems to think jhins cool, 2 of his abilites have passives, but nobody complains about it, more interesting and deeper champs tend to need longer ability descriptions, renekton has more depth than nasus, so his ability descriptions need to be longer to fit the empowered moves and other stuff. The league community cares about the oddest shit man

@@luke0saur It honestly occurred to me at some point that league players must lack basic comprehension skills and immediately fall into a tantrum when they see more words than they can comprehend at a given time. Otherwise it's incomprehensible to me how a detailed description is a problem.
Overloaded kits? Sure that's a whole different issue, but long and detailed descriptions being an issue? They probably should just drop the ranked grind for a day and read a bit more instead.

@@Gotoria Elise spider form Q- tiny jump forward which does damage. Nothing like that with Naafiri. Maybe Naafiri E but thats completely different in a number of ways such as it being multi targetable and can go any direction not just at one champion as well as having bonus effects.
Elise W- is an attack speed boost to herself and the spiders which isn't anywhere in Naafiri's kit.
Elise E- is one of the most unique abilities in the game so there's obviously no comparison there.
And Elise R is just her changing back to human form so nothing there.
Where is the similarity apart from they both have little minions (which function completely differently)?
The vision on her ultimate is going to be pretty clutch in lots of different situations. Dashes are nice too, but without any CC of her own she'll be dependent on your allies/enemies CC.
You dont need cc to burst anybody down. All you need is a gap closer

the E does not disengage at all, E is meant more to reset your hounds more than anything, the range is as small as her aa, a short hop does not disengage *at all* , at best you can hop a small wall, that's the most it can do for disengage
but also because its such a small hop and the W is a target which is used to go in, she also doesnt have any tool whatsoever to chase actual mobile units, as you can see in 3:08, after going through the wall she cannot chase back as the opponent crosses the wall again
her mobility is very bad especially when you consider that she's an assassin, yknow, the role who is specialized in going in and out back and forth
her gameplay instead is an all in or nothing, she's absolutely dependent to teammates

not usually an assassin player, but i might actually try her out. her design is awesome and her abilities look a bit more unique compared to other new champions
can't agree on that... Not really unique abilities since her q is simple skillshot, her w is prolonged irelia Q, her E is simple dash with damage and ult is Atrox ult with different numbers...
Overall, a pretty unique champion, especially given the fact that for years we now have another Darkin, plus a bonus that she doesn't have any humanoid features at all (Bel'veth you don't count).
Now, I hope that her release meets or exceeds the expectations she's getting.

@@nemurase2380 have mixed opinions about "Is she unique or not" I think that her W is more like Akali E2 that you could block which is an interesting way to make counter play available.
But in term of Uniqueness she is really a great one! Her design is a MF DOGGO that is actually a DOG the huge thing is that you could pet her as you wishes.(this gave her greatly HUMONGUS bonus point) but as you said the abilities are some reuse ability to adopt a new gameplay experiences and thematic.(If that's what I think you are trying to interpretate then that would also be Nilah's case too) overall she is unique and a really good roster for League.
Let's hope her numbers are not overly exaggerated or barely able to win a game.

She seems fair. Especially her W. It has crazy damage but also fair counter play. The cast time is just enough to counter play it and the fact it hits the first champion hit means you can intercept it. But if Naafiri can reach her target they will get destroyed. She seems like a good balance between being powerful and having fair counter play
nah looks like she can insta proc bc, maybe conq so if she gets fed tanks dont stop her even tho she pops squishies gonna be hard to balance this one
@@ewgna1014 yes she can destroy if fed but she can also be easily shut down compared to champions like zed or Katarina. Imo she's a good balance of devastating damage if played right but also easily shut down without too much complexity. Again this is just my opinion so not forcing anything on anyone 😊

Reading the ability descriptions she actually seems like a fairly balanced champion for once. She has tools to secure kills but unlike a lot of other champion releases she genuinely has counterplay.
For example, other champions might have an aoe slow on what she has for her w ability, instead she 1. Stops on the first champion she hits, and 2. The slow ONLY applies to that champion hit. It also had a notable windup, not a super long one, but enough that i imagine it gives an adc or a mage enough time to recognize whats happening and act accordingly. What do they do? Well they can get behind another teammate, like a tank, and then try to fight her afterwards. This applies to her q as well, it does damage in aoe but the effect of sending her packmates forward only applies to the first champion she hits, basically unlike a lot of other assassins, shes actually has a vector to be safe from her.
I love how her R's effects only reset ONCE too, that's fantastic, I've been of a mind that assassins really shouldn't be resetting and just killing entire teams, but one, maybe two kills? Sure! I'm not sure on giving her out of combat movespeed though, maybe change it to movespeed towards champions just so she cant use her ult just to run away.
Add on top of all this, only one freeform dash that's also short range, and no stealth? She might be one of riot's most balanced and fun champion releases in a while. Fun as in fun to verse as well as looking like a lot of fun to play.
if she reads as fairly balanced, she will definitely be broken, every champ that seemed "weak" early on release were actually busted, K'sante, Yuumi, aphelios main examples, imagine what a fairly balanced champ will play out as
Game play balanced and damage balanced are 2 very different things. She may have a game play balanced kit, but the damage numbers on her kit? Thats where things usally go very wrong.
@@ivanstayner8818 to be fair you can have all the damage to nuke Squishies in the world but if you can never get to them it doesn't really matter much.
That said I get what you mean, it's really only a problem though if she's able to just melt tanks and then nuke the squishy afterwards. Time will tell, now that she's on pbe at least we can test her and see!

Finally I can make my dog squad with Nasus, Warwick and Naafiri. I do like the fact she does have some similarities with Warwick since she seems very keen on hunting down her target but unlike WW she doesn't have a similar substain to him but she makes up to it with her damage. Also, I love the fact she didn't forget the memo!

Her kit and passive can go jungle well I guess. Just practice using the pack as a meat shield like Elise.

@@heyimv3833 problem is she does 0 damage in any of the clips without her ult and she has no CC, so I don't see her being a crazy jungler. The saving grace would be if her dogs tank jungle camps and clear fast but I don't even think she can cast the lock-on dash on jungle monsters, and I'm worried it's gonna be the ability she maxes.

Naafiri is the champion that perfectly encapsulates my solo ventures into friday night normal draft picks, coordinated 5 person teams who I likened to wolfpacks vs my mostly random troupe, ah fun and painful times lol

It's range limited, which unironically limits it a decent amount, it's very committal and can be blocked by just walking behind a teammate
For jungle it'll definitely be very strong vs solo lanes, assuming you're not getting counterganked, but at least for botlane and for teamfights, I think she has pretty darn decent counterplay
Her escape tool can be blocked and she has no cc or tankyness to tank tower hits. So not really insane to gank.

Literally the only thing I worry about is the W range. Other than that, she looks really fun.
That and the fact that it's a point and click dash. Assassin stat stick issues abound: Either with insufficient stats you can't do anything or with feed there is no counter play at all for squishier champs.

I'm very excited with this champ. She seems really unique without having to be packed to the brim with super complex mechanics. Obviously I'd have to wait to see her actual numbers but she doesn't look like she does incredible damage for an assassin. Curious to see if shes decent in the jungle so I can actually play her (I recall someone saying shes intended for midlane but I could be wrong)
That’s actually what I personally DONT like. I love more complexity, personally. Not too excited for this one. I’m glad others are, though!
she is intended to be a mid lane ad assassin, yes.
However she feels lackluster when compared to others of her own role (assassins)
the main goal of an assassin is to go in, kill an adc and get out
Naafiri already fails her main role
she can go in and kill the adc
but
W can be bodyblocked so a tank in the way and she's done
the E has no distance, it's used as a hound reset than anything, best can do is jump a small wall, but it hardly allows her to disengage with such small range
so she's more like Rengar, you go all in or nothing. She'll need the invisibility on kill item I call if she wishes to get out.
Given assassins arent well known for a good survival if they stay in, unless she's broken with lifesteal; she'll have to depend on her teammates heavily to do things
and considering players IQ to help teammates; she doesn't seem like is going to have good win rates

I’ve always wanted a wolf champion with packmates I can’t believe it really happened. I don’t play assassin too much but I have to learn now. Very fluid and clean looking doing all the various combos.

I like her lore, the design and the straight forward gameplay. Not overloaded like the past...20 or so heroes. I love it. Gj Riot.

I love that she's not overloaded, but I am worried that her abilities are overtuned. That targeted dash looks like it has Zac range, and Q plus doggos sounds like an infuriating poking tool with little counterplay.
@@peytongrimm3542 I actually felt that the dash had more range in the trailer, here most of the time they are wasting flash to use the use W, so it feels like it's a mid range skill maybe a little more range than Wukong's
@@peytongrimm3542another problem is that she's an assassin with no invisibility/untargettability so she will probably becomes a bruiser-ish assassin (like rengar)
considering how much stick potential she has i can see her becoming pretty hard to deal with

SUCH A SIMPLE KIT. I am in love, both a monster champ and a champ whose kit the average gradeschooler can understand by rito in current year! I am just worried about rito's balancing now, if she is OP I won't even be able to play her which sucks and if she is underpowered it will be a year until she gets buffed.
Wonder how she'll be balance wise. Straight forward assassin and her ult doesn't do damage so she's either going to be super reliant on having a large pack or her base numbers are going to be high.
Stat check propably with huge base dmg that will need lethality to keep up + adequate number of doggos.

Teamfights her W will be difficult to land because other champions can block it (unlike Nocturne Ult or Vi ult) and her only escape is her E which is a simple short damage with AoE damage. Not to mention her W has a delay and shows who's getting pounced on by her and her pack mates
She’ll honestly probably be middle of the pack(pun intended) she seems great at isolating enemies, so she’ll be great at getting picks but after that funny enough she doesn’t seem to have that much sustain unlike most darkins. Not to mention because she uses her mobility to engage she’ll kinda be stuck after getting a pick. I’m guessing she’ll be like OG assassins with little outs after committing but will probably be able to shred any opponent.

@@trollverse171 yep her gameplay will revolve around hunting lonely opponents especially squishies probably using R W Q E Q as her combo. She does has some sustain on her Q but not Rhaast or Aatrox levels.
As an ADC main, I cant wait to get oneshot by her point and click W ability. The new Zed is here, she's AD also to make it even more fun..

Point and click dashes are usually either on ults or are very short, but this thing looks like it is neither.
seems like it can be blocked since it hits the first champ, not the target, so it can easily be counter by staying with a tank

I would have liked to have seen how her point and click dash gets interrupted by a different target being on the path to her target. It would be nice to confirm this champ wont be pulling a pseudo Nocturne ult dash every other couple of seconds.

You have your passiv to tank and help with DPS, lots of damage spells with two of them being AOE and very high mobility for ganks. So unless she has some modifiers that reduce her damage to monsters, I feel like she'll get abused by junglers.
Riot probably doesn't care if she jungles too.

The problem is that she has no cc, but master yi also has no cc and is a jungler. But my real problem with them beeing a midlaner is that they are A PACK OF RAVENOUS DOGS, like, that are going to HUNT PREY, is there a description more jungler than this?
@@NeuviletteBR There are lots of junglers who lack CC, or if they have CC it's very minor like a slow.
I forgot that Naafiri was intended to be a laner. She is better suited for the jungle. It fits more with her character and abilities

i think she should be able to hold alt to have her packmates move like how shaco works
