My Idea for a New Hidden Quest in Game
If Varus and Aatrox are in diffrent teams it triggers after reaching a point in the game (maybe Level 16 both)

Varus's panting when at low health did remind me of Aphelios when he hyperventilates with stress.
The other situation when Kai and Valmar are advising Varus to be more careful. It was also done by Alune telling Aphelios to stay alive.

No longer just a random darkin, he has an actual personality and for the first time shows a darkin listening or at least considering their host's ideals and wishes, still drived by his hatred and vengeance but is somewhat subsided by valmar and kai persistent on his once humanity, like he has a reason to be noticed like aatrox, rhaast and now naafiri

Rhaast cares more about Kayn than Varus about Valmar and Kai to be honest
Well he does not even look like a darkin or make sense with the rest of them so it's a piss in the wind

@@EpidemicPain Compared to the rest of the Darkin that are in League of Legends, yes he feels a bit out of place. But now that we have a lot more Darkin characters thanks to LOR, I think he blends in quite well.

The earliest champ that I can think of that has low HP interaction was Poppy when she was reworked. There might be earlier ones, but yeah. That's not new already.

Started with Poppy. But they really copied this style of it from Aphelios… no one talks about it…

I like that we can hear what Valmar and Kai have to say, Varus still somehow cares about what they have to say and even tho he is the one in control, he still tries to convince them he is doing the right thing

5:36 this line on a long move, makes me think of varus travelling, walking through land, nothing to destroy yet, and he starts to get "corrupted" by the voices, "what do you cling for?", like a friend asking you, "what do you live for?" "What motivates you to continue"
Now we actually just need a darkin support to form the whole team with naafiri arriving soon.
I feel like they’re going to make Valeeva a support, because I just can’t see them making Xolaani a support, since her character screams carry
@@EldurThePaladin but she still could be since she is a notable healer from the lore using hemomancy. Maybe she'll have the same feels as morgana (looks and feels nonsupport-like). Plus, I think they'll play around with her ability to turn her foes into her side (kinda like Renata). Valeeva is also really good though. Either way, I'm happy whichever they choose!

I can see Xolaani or Joraal fitting as supports.
They updated his lore, then his splash art, then his voicelines. I assume next year they'll change his abilities in an midscope update, and then a year or two after that they'll give him an ASU and then finally the whole process will be complete
The ASU will probably come in 10 years tho

He doesn't really need one. There are champs more desperate for an ASU. Base Varus definitely isn't as good but he's better than most.

I just realized, when Varus has low HP, only he feels pain. Valmar and Kai aren't reacting to their body deteriorating, only Varus is. If he's really *just* the bow, why is he taking the entire pain of their *shared* body, onto himself?
I believe only Valmar and Kai's consciousness remained while Varus took control of everything there is on their new fused body, pain included.

Darkin usually completely destroy the soul their vessel had before they picked up the weapon. They effectively become the body and the weapon. However, Valmar and Kai still having the will to persist and think without experiencing pain is very interesting.

I like that he actually talks with valmar and kai now. Even more interesting is... he doesn't seem to dislike them, and vice versa

Val and Kai are so kind to Varus, they want him to seek redemption, they know he is good deep inside, that he is human
Varus different from the other Darkin respectst their will and the strenght of their love
He is a broken man, a monster to many, but they know how much pain he endured and how he feels deep inside
In a way he can relate to their love, as he loves his Kin as much, he can relate to Val's pain and to Kai's kindness in a way, they are perfect to each other
I think they represent the Id, Ego and superego as being three.
Varus being the impulsive Id, while Val and Kai shows the reality (Varus cannot go on like this) and morality (They can always stop and turn back).

He's obviously not getting a new base model to highlight the reds and blacks in his design to match the other darkins, so I can only hope for him to get a lore skin meanwhile, just like Vayne or Udyr

Im feels Rito should focus on adding VO updates to champions they dont want to redesign a champions look, change gameplay or story but want to update them regardless for the fans.
Varus personality is amazingly written well now he has a personality. Love it they added a voice line.

I like how Varus is lowkey getting progressively ASU'd. First they updated his splash out of nowhere, then they updated his VFX, and now theyre updating his voicelines. Only thing left is the in game model/animations which would have to actually be treated as an ASU if it were to happen
