A little about us:
In September 2015, our hearts were hijacked with the dream of living on a large farm, with community, growing food, caring for animals and loving on children in need of care and healing. It was a God moment, where our dreams collided with His dreams… a dream so big we could never do it in our own strength and wisdom. Since then, we have been on a journey to see that dream become a reality. This channel documents that journey.

He starts actually working on the cylinder at 7:55.
Don't forget to remove the locking set screw before attempting to unscrew the gland from the cylinder.
Thanks, you gave me the confidence to tackle my cylinder. Best Keith
💪

You're welcome, thanks for stopping in!
Jack of all trades...& Diligent
they make air tools that are much stronger if you move up to 3/4 or 1 inch drive
I’m not sure if I would use a synthetic blend of oil. It calls for 10/30 and that case additive.
Though I was told that JD hytrans fluid meets the specs
It's called a zirk fitting that was missing.
It looks like from the foliage that you made it through the winter and fixed it in the spring? How are you able to get by with it being down so long?
How did you get the ram off the machine? I can't see how it comes off.
you should move to MN
Can you be more specific on the additive
The HTO additive?
I have a harbor freight 3/4 breaker bar that would remove the bolt.
Unfortunately I couldn't use a breaker bar because I was already afraid of bending the Piston.
Wow, I don't think u would twist the piston
You're probably right. I tend to over think things 😂
It would have been nice to see how you actually install the seals. You only show after it has been installed. This is not very helpful to someone who has never done it before.
Wish I would've seen how you put them on.
I can help answer any questions if you’re stuck.
Just wanted to see what tools you used. And if I scratched the surface would is cause a problem?
I used just a pair of channel locks to unscrew the cylinder cap, pulled the position out and used little screwdrivers and picks to get the seals put. Then of course the seal twister kit to get them back in. Yes you don’t want to damage or mar the piston it will cause problems for your new seals later as they run against it.
Treat her r try ú up
Throw the red lil drinking cup bucket away!!! It doesn’t work!!! It’s a rip off!!!!
After changing mine out it won’t hold pressure and it will slowly tilt down on its own. Anyone else have this problem or know the solution?
Maybe trapped air in the lines?
Why don’t you use the press
Forgot we had one! 😂
