      You bet - even a couple years later and with all the ups and downs of GoPros I still think they're great little cameras. Stay safe out there.

    I'd put the name of each item down in the description or better as a title showing up in the video, once you start talking about each one of them. You may have non English native viewers who find it easier to read the name of the product and look it up on amazon.

    great video, i’m really thinking of getting the shorty grip. i’ve actually been using the small tripod from the 3 way grip as my main gopro accessory ever since i bought my gopro (hero4 session, just got the hero 7 a few days ago, so i’ve been thinking about buying some more accessories)

      I like the shorty grip - it's expensive though - when I bought it there were no clones out there. One thing to note is that it really transfers the sound of your hand gripping it to the camera. If you're not using an external mic you learn real quick to move your whole hand vs. spinning the shorty around with your fingers. Good luck!

      @@Strayfoto thanks for the info! what kind of sucks is that i was so comfortable with my hero 4 session setup, but now i feel like with the hero 7 the audio is for some reason worst to be honest, the microphone is constantly fluctuating unlike the hero 4 did for me... does your GoPro do the same without an external microphone?

    • @Strayfoto
      @Strayfoto  Před 5 lety +1

      Well... Long answer... I almost never use an external mic unless I'm in my office/studio. Usually if I'm out and about (hiking/running/river rafting) I don't have the patience for the external mic and that stupid adapter (Hero 4 was way better in that aspect with the 3.5mm adaper). So while I acknowledge there's a difference, I don't usually care as much as I perhaps should. I've noticed that when I think about it and try my best to speak directly at the camera without turning my head to talk to someone else or look at something while I'm talking it's much better and doesn't fade in and out. I'm not sure what to call that - "tradecraft?" I generally suck at it, but when I think about it, it really improves the quality of the audio. You can also turn on and off the wind reduction in the settings - I can't remember my exact settings off the top of my head though, but there's videos out there that talk about the different audio settings and wind reduction - maybe play with those a little and see if it helps?

      strayfoto thanks a lot, yeah... it’s kind of a bummer that this gopro has this problem, makes it really unbearable to use for me, but i’ve only had it for a few days like i said so i’ll eventually figure out something. thanks for the help dude and good luck on your channel!

    So the Go Pro 3 way actually has a integrated tripod, which is actually a 2 in one accessory. You have a knockoff and a small tripod as separate things. Gopro 3 way would have been 2 in one.

    Hi. Which round windshield suction mount is that? And what pieces do you use to achieve that rotating arm? Thanks

    • @Strayfoto
      @Strayfoto  Před 4 lety

      It's by Ram Mount - there's a lot of retailers, and you can get most pieces on Amazon, but the actual Ram Mount website certainly has the best selection. That suction cup is definitely available at Amazon. If you're looking for something to use on the outside of an automobile, get a version with 3 suction cups - one isn't enough.

    Hi, I want to buy the gopro 8 and I am wondering which mount to use for running. I am between el grande, max grip + tripod and shorty or ultrapod?
    Which one you recommend me? I can get them like 50% off on gopro.com

    • @Strayfoto
      @Strayfoto  Před 4 lety

      The only thing I like slightly better about the Ultrapod (the mini) is the strap. I like being able to Velcro it against a branch or fencepost - I also like that it's made in the USA. I think the shorty is a little sleeker and easier to get in or out of a pocket or pouch. I don't know if that helps much... Smaller is almost always better. Stay safe out there.

    Hey nice video. I’m planning to buy a GoPro 7. Could you please guide for a best tripod

    • @Strayfoto
      @Strayfoto  Před 5 lety +1

      Whew! You have a lot of options when it comes to tripods. First decide how large you want, then how heavy. For most stuff the smaller Gorilla Pod style bendy tripods will be fine. If you still want larger, you can start looking into full size stuff from companies like Benro, Gitzo, Manfrotto, and on the very high end, Really Right Stuff. There's thousands of options.

      Do you recommend the gopro shorty fot gopro 7 ?

    • @Strayfoto
      @Strayfoto  Před 5 lety

      @@buyungbaskoro6232 Oh yeah. I think the Shorty is awesome. I tend to use the Ultrapod a little more, but that's just me - I like the strap and the fact users can hook the Ultrapod to another thing (sign post, tree, fence, etc.). But if you don't want to do that the Shorty is the way to go. It's super pocketable.
