Cool to see you in Cape Town. Enjoy. Garden route is a nice road trip. The Cederberg region is really beautiful too. Hey rainbolt! I’m so excited to see you visiting my beautiful motherland! I’d recommend checking out table mountain and lions head. You can hike or be taken up in a cart. If you have the chance to go to Limpopo I HIGHLY RECOMMEND visiting the BLYDE RIVER CANYON. it’s one of the largest green canyons. Specifically the 3 rondavels as a lookout point. There’s tons of things to do in Cape Town, like literally anything. Go to the waterfront, sea point promenade, orjanezitcht market, kalk bay, rondebosch markets. I really hope you enjoy your stay here!! This place is crazy
I'm from South Africa, specifically around Cape Town. A cool place to check out would be Kirstenbosch Gardens that shows a lot of the natural beauty of this country. Also there are some really cool ruralish places to visit that are a lot less congested than the cities like the Cape Winelands which also have some beautiful mountains and landscapes. There are tons of places to walk around or camp in this country
You gotta go up table mountain for sure, it's such an amazing beautiful view from the top, also when I was there I had fun going down and seeing some penguins and other wildlife near the beach. Also I highly highly recommend going on a game trip at sometime while ur in Africa
You should climb leeukop (Lionhead). It's the little extra pointy bit next to table mountain. It's pretty easy but the top view is amazing. Also welcome to Cape Town :)
Your comment about depression and mountains is so true!!! Im in Colorado and see them everyday and they make me so happy! Not quite the complete cure but they help. Yes to Ghana and Nigeria! I hope you visit those places.
You should visit the Garden Route (George in particular) when you've finished Kilamanjaro. Not too far from Cape Town and has often been voted as one of the top 10 most beautiful areas in the world. Since you mentioned Eswatini, you should go to Bulembu - absolutely stunning area with an amazing purpose and history
Visited South Africa a few years ago. If you have time, I would visit these places: Cape Peninsula near Cape Town (awesome views, wild ostriches, penguins), Franschhoek (historic wineries), and Kruger National Park (the famous African animals, everywhere).
I remember traveling to Kenya before and I really loved it. Nairobi was great. Although i'd recommend you not to right now because it's not that safe now, unfortunatly. There were signs inside the hotel doors telling people not to go out in groups of less than six. My parents were attacked after Church and shot at, thank God they were not harmed. Glad to see you in South Africa, if you are interested in a braai and having a brandy & coke let me know. I would suggest you play geoguessr on top of Table Mountain first as a trial run 😂 I would check out the museum and castle in Cape Town, you could do a trip to Robben island and I would go and try to see some great white sharks (Houtbay or Gansbaai) and whales in Hermanus. Victoria falls is a great idea, probably Kruger National Park as well for the big 5. Hope you have a great time, enjoy bud!
It is extremely difficult and expensive to mimic sunlight and make shadows so realistic. He also has to add random car sounds and synchronizes it with the cars in the background. Hike Table Mountain as preparation for Kilimanjaro, and then take a trip to the Drakensburg mountains on your way to Lesotho to hike there - INSANELY beautiful (and snowy at this time of the year). This place is so dear to me man. Here's the obvious: 1. Get to the top of the Table Mountain and have a walk there. 2. Get to the Cape Point/Cape of Good Hope. Its basically the end of the Earth. 3. Visit local wineries. I recommend Groot Constantia and Klein Constantia at least. 4. Check out the Muizenberg Beach. Don't hesitate to take a red bus for a tour and please stay cautious at all times. Let me know if anything.
in terms of populated areas, the end of the earth will probably be in argentina as it has the southern most city i believe(it might be in chile but i think argentina)
I went to São Tomé and Principe like 2 months and it's probably the best country I ever been to, especially Principe. You got to go there if you have the chance!
Cape Town: Waterfront and aquarium, Muisenberg, Table Mountain, Cape Aghulas SA: Tugela falls and Drakensberg Amphitheatre, Kruger, Fish River Canyon, Gariep dam and the Klein Karoo (Uniondale, Oudshoorn, Prince Albert etc.) Lesotho: Afri-ski Bots, SA, Nam: Kgaligadi Nam: Skeleton Coast, Etosha, Sousisvlei Mozambique: Very unique country overall. Don't have any immediate suggestions off the top of my head but lovely to visit just a bit dangerous Kenya: Can't remember the park's name right now but there's a national park situated in a giant crater and it's insane to witness

Enjoy CPT!
That horizontal flip got me for a moment :P
Cable-car on Table Mountain is bare-minimum but can be skipped. Seeing all the Big 5 would be a cool plan motivator for me.
This place is so dear to me man.
Here's the obvious:
Think you meant its pretty much the tip of Africa, but I get what you mean ;)
Good luck Trevor! Hope it goes well :)
I went to São Tomé and Principe like 2 months and it's probably the best country I ever been to, especially Principe. You got to go there if you have the chance!
You visited my country ❤
Man booked a flight thousands of miles just to play geoguessr on a mountin LOL I love the geoguessing community.
