Yup, and the principle is what matters when it comes to laws. The ACLU in America is what has kept Free Speech in America for so long. Look up their history. The ACLU supported both racist cases under freedom of speech AND they also orchestrated the Rosa Parks case which is what lead to de segregation in America.
Rosa Parks actually did it on purpose, as a part of the ACLUs plan with a bunch of lawyers, and they told her to not sit on the back of the bus no matter what, it was all brilliantly planned and orchestrated. But our schools always leave that part out and act like she just randomly wanted to sit at the front of the bus one day.
This is how freedom of speech works, it is based on principle, because basing it on opinions and current day cultural beliefs creates a tool that the government can use as a weapon by setting precident.
If you give the government the power to ban speech that *_MIGHT_* be considered offensive to most people......well, eventually the government can just claim anything is offensive hate speech and use the precedent of those laws to undermine a free democracy by banning the free speech of political opponents. People, forget, that we culture considers offensive now, may not always be offensive in the future, and offensive is *_SUBJECTIVE_* which is the *_real_* problem.
You can't give the government power to ban speech based off of some so broadly subjective, you must base on clear and consice principle that is easily applied across the board. - just like the ACLU in America supporting racist free speech even though the ACLU was largely responsible for de sergregating race in America with their Rosa Parks case they planned.

Not funny I didn’t laugh. Your joke is so bad I would have preferred the joke went over my head and you gave up re-telling me the joke. To be honest this is a horrid attempt at trying to get a laugh out of me. Not a chuckle, not a hehe, not even a subtle burst of air out of my esophagus. Science says before you laugh your brain preps your face muscles but I didn’t even feel the slightest twitch. 0/10 this joke is so bad I cannot believe anyone legally allowed you to be creative at all. The amount of brain power you must have put into that joke has the potential to power every house on Earth. Get a personality and learn how to make jokes, read a book. I’m not saying this to be funny I genuinely mean it on how this is just bottom barrel embarrassment at comedy. You’ve single handedly killed humor and every comedic act on the planet.
I’m so disappointed that society has failed as a whole in being able to teach you how to be funny. Honestly if I put in all my power and time to try and make your joke funny it would require Einstein himself to build a device to strap me into so I can be connected to the energy of a billion stars to do it, and even then all that joke would get from people is a subtle scuff. You’re lucky I still have the slightest of empathy for you after telling that joke otherwise I would have committed every war crime in the book just to prevent you from attempting any humor ever again.
We should put that joke in text books so future generations can be wary of becoming such an absolute comedic failure. Im disappointed, hurt, and outright offended that my precious time has been wasted in my brain understanding that joke. In the time that took I was planning on helping kids who have been orphaned, but because of that you’ve waisted my time explaining the obscene integrity of your terrible attempt at comedy. Now those kids are suffering without meals and there’s nobody to blame but you. I hope you’re happy with what you have done and I truly hope you can move on and learn from this piss poor attempt.

That's just South African history since always. The old Nationalists who ran the segregation system considered themselves anti-colonialist and justified segregation as a means to eventually secure independence from Britain for the segregated groups, arguing that integration would mean cultural genocide. The language of social justice, used to promote the opposite. The current government does the same when it uses socialist language to defend the neoliberal/neocolonialist status quo, which they depend on to make them rich via kickbacks. The result being that unemployment and inequality are now worse than immediately after segregation.

2)The “symbol” is extremely boring to look at, as they are just 3 different flags stuck together, while all of these would look good or at least passable on their own but as smaller symbols on another flag they look awful and lazily made.

The fun fact is that one Afrikaner journalist went out to the streets to look if the Van Riebeeckflag is offensive and he asked to blacks and coloureds only. And they either didnt know the flag or say its not an issue for them to see it. The Van Riebeeckflag dates back BEFORE Apartheid, something JJ doesn't mention. But then, the SA Supreme Court has been very anti-Afrikaner. A clear example of this is that AfriForum called upon the court to ban the EFF song "Kill the Boer, Kill the Farmer" (A Boer is a word for Afrikaner), but the court stated that it was not hate speech because it is a struggle song from Apartheid time. Meanwhile not much later, multiple farm attacks have been reported where the mostly black attackers shouted "Kill the Boer, Kill the Farmer" in the attack. I'm afraid both Nelson Mandela and Frederik Willem de Klerk are crying in heaven for what is happening to the country they had a vision for.

Union of South Africa Flag was not an Apartied Flag as it predates that period.

Don't put "what the country has become" in air-quotes. In a rare video not about China, CZcams user serpentza has posted a video about his native South Africa where they now have "load-shedding" and the electric power is deliberately cut 12 hour a day!

I like how he put “had become” in quotes like there aren’t genocides of white farmers in South Africa going on to this very day…

@@kenshin891 The definition for murder is “the unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another/kill (someone) unlawfully and with premeditation”. No where in that definition does it talk about violence + privilege.

I hate the obsession with "hate speech". What is labeled as "hate speech" is not even "speech" in the broadest sense of the term. Using flаgs is a definite action but has nothing to do with what you write or say. Distinguish human actions from words or texts.

Good thing South Africa has become so much better now. It's basically crime free and people could not be happier. Truly a Hollywood Ending.

XD. I get the sarcasm, but I can only see SA as an action blockbuster where fights, explosions and evil(and incompetent) villains abound.
