@@mi834 The world as we know it ends this year..The same binary star system that created the Great Delige is in our heavens as I type..
One of the rarest times that no subtitles is needed for a Stipe Miocic interview...
Wrong. It was still needed.
I skipped first few seconds after he started talking.
@@herculez6087 Agreed 🤣
yep
I don't like how Ariel kept asking Stipe about retirement. That's Stipe's thing to bring up.
Thats the good and bad thing about Ariel. He's not afraid to ask about anything he wants to know.
But with that, he has a hard time seeing when he's pushed that line, thus has a hard time reading when he should pull back.
This is why it was confusing to me when Ariel claimed he didnt push on things or try to get things out of fighters for maximum PR, like Jamahal and others said. It's true, he should just admit to it.
Ariel: do you think this was more Gane shelling up than it was Jon leveling up
Interviewee: nah its Jon
Ariel: yeah but do you think Gane was overwhelmed by the moment?
Interviewee: nah its Jon
Ariel: yeah but....
Aerial: can you give us some insight what are you thinking?
Stipe: yeah I’m gonna win it, there’s no question…
Aerial: yeah you think it go…..
Stipe: no question about it
Aerial: no question?
Stipe: no question Im Winning
Aerial: jon jones has never lost
Stipe: i know that.. and it sucks that he’s going to lose
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
22:42 I think that’s a really cool detail to think about in the Grasso-Shevchenko fight. You could read the reluctance to tap in the moment, she realized there was no way out and felt defeat for the first time in a really long time.
Hasn't really felt defeat since 7 years ago, UFC 196 in 2016. The rematch against Nunes didn't feel like a loss for Valentina, and honestly, I thought Valentina won that fight.
Not guna lie at time I thought she was trying the old fake tap
@@wonkeydonkeyTV it was a "F*CK OFF" kinda tap
@@wonkeydonkeyTV 😂

Balls Kickel is gonna be the new MW champ.
Lionheart is a legend!!! I absolutely love his honesty and willingness to speak openly about any subject! We need Ariel on BYM asap, and we need a Mikey B & Ant in studio appearance on the Mma hour!!
I love Stipe, such a great down to earth guy
With Ric’s new camera quality, I can now see how much he needs to sleep.
Imagine a Dia De Los Muertos card in Mexico. Would be in the last quarter of the year which timing wise would present some risk because who knows if those fighters will all still be holding belts by then, but a card themed with that holiday would be so dope.
I know Americans don't want to hear this, but the reason that people from other countries have more loyalty to fighters is because support goes back generations. You support franchises.
We know
Jons performance against his wife was impressive too Ariel
Sring forward- Fall back!! I had just one hour left to learn something today!
Still blows my mind that I got Jon Jones at +100 lol. I went all in on that one
Nice
I really felt that seeing Francis out wrestle Gane...plus seeing Jones out wrestle Daniel an Olympic wrestler...I was pretty sure Jones was going to out wrestle Gane
Francis ran. Jones kills him.
@@Jack-ur7mq Jones probably wins via submission. He does not "kill" Francis. He can not box with Francis.
Jones looked like he had him on the feet as well. Was moving better, looked bigger and was dominating the centre of the cage.
Yah cuz it was a lay up by ufc, everybody and their momma knew this is an easy win for jones, and now everybody be acting like this fight somehow cemented jones legacy. There are harder match ups for jones at lhw than hw right now.
Very introspective person. Amazing to hear how open he is to share his thoughts.
Ireland has another great one
So does Canada with Marc-Andre B.
I like what Ian Garry had to say about taking it personally. It is cage fighting. Get over it if what he said upsets you. More interesting than the usual
I say the same thing about a lot of fights being the greatest but that's because they be the greatest there are a lot of legendary and are witnessing them in real-time
My mind is blown at how mindblown Ariel is at Jon Jones win.
After seeing Ngannou out wrestle Gane this fight was so easy to call, easiest money ever if you bet.
Kudos to New York Rick. Been on point with his analysis and picks. Gotta give credit where credit is due.
Surprising since in the past its been so bad. He's been studying for his job, good to see.
“Gane is the hardest test for Jones”
Jones wins
“Gane had no chance and Jon would also 50-45 Francis but stipe is Jon’s hardest test”
Make it make sense
Facts
Ariel praising himself again. I’m out
Show kicks ass
The start of the show sounded like I was listening to 3 different versions of the same person lol same monotone delivery and speech pattern.
Conner that $1 bet is ridiculous! +39million! Cmoooooonnnn
I'm not sold on the fact that Conor is going to fight. Thats why he isnt in USADA pool. I could be wrong though.
Ariel actually thought Gane would pull it off 🤣
Last time I ever bet on a Frenchman smh. Gane was more disappointing than my future kids.
Well, he does know more than you "Meth Salad"
Ariel filled Francis’ head with lies because he hates Dana and now Francis will get one low ball boxing offer, get KO’d and no one will care about him as opposed to making 8mm per fight
Anthony Smith you are my dude. Never change. You are my dude. Live long, take care.
I didn't expect Jones to be as big as he was at heavyweight. Who the hell could have known how he'd look? I chose Gane to win based upon evidence available. Reyes being a smaller man than Gane and Jones being unsuccessful wrestling him. Not to mention, Ngannou had wrestling success with Stipe, not just with Gane. Made what Ngannou did to Gane look quite impressive. So I don't feel bad picking Gane to win. I used the evidence available to make a decision. I'm sure many who chose Jones didn't pick Alexa Grasso over Valentina. Can't always get them right. Fun to try anyway.
How do you know it's a beautiful new York city when ur 30ft under sea level in a basement Ariel unk Chael done exposed you bro
Would be nice if CZcams made CC available for the Miocic interview.
Bo looks and feels like a very empathic person.
yeah im actually quite shocked/pleasantly surprised how mature, aware, and introspective he is.
C‘mon bro, just recently Ariel really underpreciated Jons record and saw him behind all other greats, but no it never was doubted. Good show, stay true to you positions and don’t change on what opinion is the best to have in a moment :D but still only love though
You just struggle at paying attention, Ariel did nothing you just accused him of. 🤡
DOPE INTRO💪🏾💯🔥
Came here for Bo!!
Great interview from Stipe💪
Stipe may be one of the most stoic men alive
I love how much of a boomer Ariel is, that all he knows of Gyllenhaal is him in City Slickers
Maybe Grasso wants to cement her place in the history books with back-to-back beatdowns of Shevchenko. Mind you, I do want to see Blanchfield vs Shevchenko.
I just don’t think gane has the ability to compete with Jones at any point if it hits the mat. I didn’t think he would go for the takedowns so early but I knew it would be over as soon as he did. I think it’s the same if gane fights blaydes or aspinal as well. He had no more than a punchers chance and knockouts have never been his style. He just doesn’t have the grappling chops and has relied on his footwork to avoid takedowns. He has mostly fought strikers as well
That Bo interview was frustrating honestly. Dude basically said we as viewers have nothing in common with him and no fight experience so we can’t accurately call a blatantly obvious low blow instead of just admitting it was a mistake and it happens. Then tells us to grow up for saying that. Then pushes it further by saying he should be a black belt and that’s how HE finishes arm triangles instead of just saying he’s still learning and despite not using the best technique he still managed to get the finish. I went from a fan of his to a bit annoyed by his lack of accountability
Aerial has more faces than the Town Hall Clock 🤣 last year he said GSP was the goat 😭. C mon Aerial lol
I feel like Bo definitely hit him in the groin, but the ref missed it...the finish was coming regardless
Yeah, it’s really not Bo’s job to stop the fight… if they ref doesn’t step in that’s not on him. But like you said coming either way.
It would be insane if Valentina didnt get an immediate rematch.. Weili got an immediate rematch after one title defense and she got knocked out in the first round by Rose
Very well edited, seamless and timing was outstanding. As for the fight isn't it obvious to all that it was lightening in a bottle type senario that Leon snatched that WW belt, and I hear all the "mental battle" responding to such a brutal KO but if things continued as they were it was 49-46 across the board....it was domination!!a typical Usman lopsided victory. Way too much being made of mental battle due to KO. Usman dominates and gets a finish via KO (g n P)
I'd never remembered I need to spring an hour ahead of we're iam at , finally, I'll catch back up to we're I fawd off
I need a time stamp when they talk about Jed’s bet
How much did he bet lol I saw his reaction during the fight
03:36:15 - the answer is because we are and have pretty much always been a very divided nation and it plays out in all aspects of life, including sports.
Ariel way too much on the “Stipe are you done after the next fight” stuff. Awkward and rude.
Ariel on Dana- You never come back from hitting a woman
Ariel on Jon- Isn’t Jon awesome
One is alleged and the other is on video…
@@Quarterbackyjones the police reports, the physical evidence, the kids testimony, his follow up actions same night, but you’re right all alleged 💯
@@Quarterbackyjones Jons is also 1000x worse
His own kids told the hotel staff to call the police.
I dont recall ariel ever praising jons character just fighting and size wtf
I must say I wanted to see JONES throw some kicks & punches more & see his quickness. After a great fight as we know.. we still don’t know about the quickness which I felt wasn’t sure only tryed think 1 punch kinda & it was to the ground & OVER !!! Great for John but that my only wish I saw more !!!! But sure we may ? For iam not sure same doesn’t happen to stipie !!!!
Bones is so well rounded but I find it interesting he lacks the 1 punch KO power. Things always balance out in a way...
Bo Nickal seems like a class act. Very interesting stuff from the interview
2:31:34 Does Anthony know any of the "big" names in the slap league or outside of it? haha
😭😭😭so happy stipe called you out for you trying to announce retirement
I badly want to see Jones v Pavlovich and Jones v Aspinall.
Yes, heavyweight has very contenders right now especially the ones you mentioned.
interesting contenders*
It was Cameron Saaiman who they have interviewed when they said that they don't have too much time.
Thats awesome Ariel has the same B-Day as mine!
Good Monday show thanks 😃
Stipe 💯
Watching paint dry is more interesting than Stipe’s personality 🤦🏻♂️
Ian Garry vs D-rod is the fight to make next 👍
Let’s see how D-Rod does in his upcoming fight. Maybe Michel Pereyra is a good matchup and even Kevin Holland as soon as his hand recovers
Anthony Smith and Ariel together makes me so happy lol. I love how Ariel is just amazed that Ant loves Slap fighting and BKFC!! 🤣🤣 Cant wait to hopefully see Ariel on Thursdays BYM.......🤞🤞🤞 Mikey B needs to put out the Nose-signal and send Ariel a proper invite to the show!!
Stipe Miocic... Joey Diaz voice 😆 🤣 😂
You mean Stiopic
"F*****' KHALABIB!"
@@ViolentAce Not how Joey says it
@@DJReyzor357 I don’t think you’ve watched him on Joes podcast
Yea I think Nickel is a bit to cocky but wrestlers always seem to be and so far deserves to be, however I think "I'll beat his ass" means a lot more coming from strikers personally.
When I saw that embedded I knew lol
I respect helwanis mma opinions because hechas been balls deep in the sport forever.... but I can't believe he puts so much on gsps victory over bisping just because belt was involved.
Bispings fight before that was a split decision to an old #13 ranked and retiring fight for Dan hendo.
Lost to gsp.
And 21 days later kod by kg.
But because of a belt it's this giant win ti him a giys who knows mma so well cmon. Gsp didjt beat any top 5 mw after taht he beat a bisping 1 fight before he retired
GSP vs the top MWs at the time.
1. Bisping - easy win
2. Rockhold - easy win via left hand
3. Weidman - was never the same post Rockhold. GSP would have won.
4. Yoel - GSP dies
5. Rob - GSP has a fair chance at the time as both were former WWs moving up. Rob only really levelled up his striking after his loss to Izzy, so it would probably lean towards GSP given his fight IQ. Current day Rob smokes prime GSP though.
- Jacare: very risky fight for GSP.
- The Moose: he would have beaten GSP. Too bad he went to bellator.
what is incredibile to me that the last time Jon fought (vs Reyes) was the age Gane is today
I am amazed at all the delusion around Jones being able to beat Stipe. Or even Ngannou. All respect to Stipe, but, if he doesn't realize Jon has been in camp for a long time thinking he might face him, (and/or Francis)he is in for a rude awakening. Bones takes legends VERY seriously. Just look back on his career. He studies tape like a dedicated student of MMA. Beating legends is what motivates Jonny Bones Jones! It's just a fact.
The next day Ariel called Stipe's Fire department
"Hi Stipe is that you ? Hey so are you gonna retire or not "?
Funny that Ian Garry makes no mention of Jack Della Madellana......
Rose Zhang rematch, Nunes pena rematch, Moreno Figgy 3 rematches, yan sterling rematch (DQ so different)max volk 2 rematches, Usman Leon, Izzy Alex, Glover Jiri, Then the only none rematch is Stipe Francis even though it was 1-1. They have to give Valentina a rematch but they should make a new rule after this no more rematches until you get at least 1 win after losing belt. Top level fights are so close and then u have to beat them twice to be champion. Then ur already more burned out by the time u start other defences
Anyone that thinks Jones doesn’t do the exact same thing to Francis is delusional.
Only WWE fans talk about Rhonda. She's where she belonged in the beginning
Gane saying he's lazy is a massive problem for him going forward.
He didn't even look bothered, all week.
I agree, he's too laid back to be an effective top MMA dog. Fedor had the same demeanor, but he turns into a straight up killer once inside the ring. Gane could be the Rockhold of the HW division, getting to the top due to his natural talents - size and athleticism.
Stipe looked so slow his last time out. I got Jon manhandling him.
Stipe is my man but by god he'd make a killing if he became a mumble rapper
I think he has early onset CTE
@Brandon Rothsman awww little Brandon trying to play doctor. Cute...
@@user-kq6ju6hc1w I don’t get it. Is that supposed to be an insult or a dig? That was really weird my guy
Wow, if the two people you look up to are Jon Jones and Conor McGregor ....good luck with that lol
Jones is now the pound for pound
Should be a Hewani vs White fight for the Conor D rider belt
Dricus vs Nick, fight the winner of Izzy vs Alex that would be a epic fight Dricus vs Nick
@3:32:55 Ariel, I am one of the guys that ONLY watches the TUF fights and skip the theatrics
Jon Jones is UFC’s Lawrence Taylor. He’s a man who has taken losses to his demons and personal shortcomings instead of taking losses in his athletic career
this stipe look scary i never seen him so focus
I think Dana will not do an immediate rematch for Shevencko and Grasso in effort to promote other young fighters. Let's do Branchfield vs Grasso and Santos vs Shevencko somewhere overseas
If Brennan Johnson doesn't get a mention, I'll be shocked.
Airel is such an instigator.
Stipe interviews are so painful
Great show. If im allowed to borrow a phrase from the great Ariel Helwani, Anthony Smith what an absolute mensch. Great interview great questions would def like to see him on more.
Heard 1 in 5 stipe words 😂😂
1:17:32 wtf was that
I think until Jon defends his belt against the New guard, against Sergei Pavlovich for example... I won't be satisfied. To beat Stipe at the end of his career is one thing... But to beat an up and coming destroyer like Sergei after... That would just really do it for me. Jon could go off into the sunset after that and id be convinced no one is ever going to be on his level.... But if he JUST beats Stipe and retires ... I won't be as convinced
So you don’t think JBJ is at the end if his career too ? Guy has had nothing but Championship fights since he was 22 !!! Good thing your opinion is just that 🤙🏾🍻
2:38:15 a lot of close calls these days
Low blow bo still in denial
Let's be real he probably didn't even notice it it happened very fast.
Absolute joke that Stipe is getting another TS.
Literally the easiest win for JJ to cement some BS aurora beating up a 41-year-old man.
Stipe has not beaten ANYONE not named Daniel Cormier in the last 5 years. And as great as DC is, he was past his prime easily the last fight for sure, and possibly their second fight.
"BUT HES THE GOAT!!!"
And? Hes OLD.
Tom Brady is the GOAT. How did he do his last season?
Fedor is the GOAT.... but how did his last fight fair?
Michael Jordan is the GOAT... how was his run after the Bulls?
At some point, father time ALWAYS wins.
Stipe is OLD and undeserving of a TS at this point.
JJ should fight Sergei or Blaydes. Not old man Stipe.
Preach
In this case bet everything you got for Jon jones to win ! Imma do it !
Go rest ya neck somewhere
@@dustinbrounce357 you ok?
Fair
Not if "everything is included," it's "if PEDs are excluded."
"Took a page out ofmy book to be honest." Damnit there it is, now I'm annoyed by his ego lol dude Jon has made a career out of finishing people early, he was a champion when he was your age already. I could go on. But Bo, slow your roll man, I like you but, show some respect to the GOAT 🐐 BAAAAAAA
The fact that no one said Brock Lesnar when talking about the biggest US stars is a little sad.
You don't put DJ at the top of the list because he doesn't have a second belt but he's small even for a 125er. And then he goes to One and wins the belt against guys in a division that's in truth 135. And the way he took the belt, with a revenge knee! He's not getting enough credit imo
Chandler saying Bo Nickal is “too talky for the average fans liking” is hilarious considering Chandler called out Khabib after his UFC debut against Dan Hooker.
Chandler really upset Bo is the bigger USA star now😂😂
