You guys should do a taste off against 1920. Every other review I've seen has said it's not worth buying over 1920.
I love the 1924. Its amazing in my opinion
"he said whiskey row DINGUS!" god i love this channel so so so so much
This is probably the best bourbon review you have done. I was very conflicted on this bourbon for all of the reasons you all talked about.
It is not the best bourbon ever, but it is interesting. This shows the evolution of Brown-Forman with age. BF doesn’t do many well aged bourbons. There is King of Kentucky (15-20 years), there is the new Jack Daniel’s age stated products and there is this. I get a cocoa powder on the nose that smells like the gathering storm that smells more developed in Jack Daniel’s 12 batch 1 and then is fully developed in King. I can draw a straight line between those releases.
I think what I smell as cocoa dust, Dutch calls funk, and Dillon (weirdly) is calling a grain note. I’m pretty sure that’s the cooperage, bro. Anyway, good job!

Classic CP. Bravo gentlemen!
Cheers!
This is one of those moments I am glad to have taken over buying spirits at the shop I work at. No more retail cost for me!! FYI, love the 1920 I have on the shelf. I will definitely keep an eye out for the 1924. Thanks CP, as always, for the thorough review!!
I'm with Dutch on the value being a 1. I could get a henry mckenna 10 and a knob creek 12 year for the same price as 1 1924.
I can't believe Dillon got a new graphic 😆
For the price I can get two bottles of Knob Creek 9yr Single Barrel 120 Store Picks and be much happier. I'm with Jules on the experience.
Dutch, as usual, spot on... this is a 1 on value and frankly, not even a particularly strong 1.
Hey guys. As always, it's a pleasure to watch your content. I follow you here from Germany since your old "Bourbon Guild" days. I'm a huge Buffalo Trace Fan but its hard to get your hand on a bottle here in Germany. One of my favorites is the "Weller 107". I't is hard but not impossible to get it here for about 180 Euro. The "Full Proof" is nearly impossible to get and when you find one, it is about 350-450 Euros so unfortunatelly I never had one. It is highly recommended by you as a multiple winner in your contender game. This Old Forester is sometimes available here for about 80 Euros. Is the Weller worth the money it costs here?
Best wishes to you all, you're such a lovely bunch of guys and if my wife and I will ever get to Vegas, we will think about your Casino Tours :-)
Great to hear from you!
That is pretty expensive for the Full Proof. It is really tasty stuff, but a little hard to justify at that price. You get a lot of the experience of the full proof with the 107 - so might be better to try that first. Cheers!
A new Dillon!?!? Love it
This was funny to watch. You guys were wildin in this one lol
I enjoy it just doesn’t have enough flavor for 120+
Yea I think its crazy overpriced. I think 1920 is a lot better.
Dude, Best Video yet!!
In my neck of the woods the chances of getting a 1924 or single barrel barrel proof rye are about the same. It's hard to imagine 1924 being any better than that at twice the price.
A bottle I'd love to try and hopefully won't have to pay secondary for.
Dutch was a little sauced up for this one. I approve
I have a hard time believing that this is better than an OFSBBP, which in the DMV usually can be found for 85-110. I recently purchased one at MSRP and will update once I try it.
Thanks for the video. Hey, what are some of your favorite San Diego area liquor sources/stores? Old Town Tequila is pretty great.
Must be nice to pick and choose which birthday bourbon to buy lol.
Value is a 2 when you can get Eagle Rare for $40
0:29 pure nightmare fuel 😂
This is a great whiskey. But extremely hard to find in my area for any price. I got one for SRP and would buy another one if given the chance once mine is empty. But I’m nursing it slowly.
Yes, it is overpriced. Yes there are some products out there under $100 that might be better. But there are also countless NDP offerings priced over $100 that cannot approach this bottle in quality or character.
Brown Foreman has enough stock in this mash bill they can separate casks that could be KOK, but after 10 or 11 years and they don't quite stack up...Old Forester 1924
I would get this to try at MSRP, but would not pay secondary. I will drink Knob Creek 12 and Eagle Rare all day.
Dutch Fire these two Clowns LOL Love you all!!
I blinded this against eagle rare and Jack 10 the 1920 was dead last.
What did you guys score Knob Creek 12 year? Have you rated it yet?
It is probably over due for a proper review!
KC12 is a richer fuller experience without the OF acetone note. It should win handily.
@@CuriosityPublic for sure!
I get acetone and over woodiness on the 1910 and 1920. I hesitate to spend $100 to buy another heat cycled warehouse release from OF. I’m not quite willing to write off OF, but I’m already at the entrance, ready to say good bye.
Nines on Body? Many reviews have said it's thin. Eights on Finish? Many reviews have said that's where it's weakest.
Yoo what did Dutch say about Dillon’s ancestors? 😂
You guys are fucking funny 😂
It’s just ok, couldn’t get past the tannic oak
1924 vs Early Times BiB
Dillon is the best. Really.
Look like you've all turn out puritans (Dillon) with all these "parental advisory" 😁
Didn't get any of the jokes. I'll wait then after the uncensored version (uncut/unfiltered).
A friend gave me a sample and I wasn’t that impressed. I would rather have a bottle of 1920 & a Knob Creek 12yr
Eagle rare 10, Mchenna 10, knob creek 12, Russell's 10, and probably a few im missing. That being said, if you want watered down 10 year lod bourbon, there are a few to choose from and at half the price. Without speaking to quality or flavor preferences, this is a horrible value.
More liked Biased Dillon
1924 came across as sour to me. I wasn't a fan, especially at the price.
