So I've been struggling to figure out what it is about OF1920 that hits me wrong most of the time. You NAILED it: the "tanic finish." Most days I just can't get past it. Some days though, depending on what I've been drinking before, it neutralizes that characteristic and 1920 is pure nectar. Butterscotch, chocolate covered orange rinds and dark red fruit - heavenly.
Thanks team, and keep up the good work!

This was great! I think there could be a possible answer to something you guys talked about a few times. You mentioned some of those not having an age statement, pretty sure I saw Jackie Zykan talk about it’s tricky for Old Forester to age state bottles due to the fact they “heat cycle” and it creates almost a “false” age for the lack of better term on my part. 🤷‍♂️

Catching up on oldies. Another good video.
I’ve had the rye, signature 100, bottle in bond, 1910, and 1920.
The rye is fantastic and my favorite of their lineup. Brown sugar, caramel, chocolate, then mint, and pepper finish that lasts.
The bottle in bond has more of a rye note but is twice the price of the signature 100 for no reason. The signature 100 is boozy brown sugar, caramel, oak, and pepper finish.
1910 started sweet and char and was delicious. It was my absolute favorite bottle until… Halfway through the bottle it turned to nasty oak tannin. At $45 it wasn’t the best overall experience.
1920 was nothing but butter oak tannin. Despised it from start of the bottle to the end. Maybe I got a bad bottle but it’s hard to want to pay $50+ to try it again. My dislike had nothing to do with proof because rare breed is basically the same proof and I love rare breed.
Sad to say but I suggest starting with signature 100 and the 100 proof rye. Really good value there. And if you don’t like em, pour them in a mixed drink and you won’t feel bad.
Keep the videos coming! Great content.

Hey guys, Is Cooper Craft 100 proof available in your area? Get a bottle, open it and taste it - it is hot! Put it back on the shelf an sample it at one month and two month intervals. By two months, it starts showing its George Forman heritage. You like OF 100, you might seriously like this whiskey. Also, the 86 proof Cooper Craft is filtered, so it is smooth and soft. So the 86 proof is great for light drinks like neat or in a high ball.

Kind of a complaint, but the 100-proof Signature bottle you started with is no longer made; the new bottle is just "OF 100." I have both the old and new bottles and the older one (like you have) is very different (and leagues better) than the new bottle.

Say the name of the bottles, please. Try not to say, “This” or “That”. Gets confusing.

If your worried about carcinogens in your drink, skip whiskey, they all have nitrosamines in them.
