I listened to the intro and first chapter of the podcast and got really motivated by Justin's story on how he became a teacher and what it means to him so here I am! Just finished this episode, I watched it one time paying attention and engaging and then I watched it again and paused to write down everything and I intend to do the same with every episode! I picked an empty notebook and I know it'll be the most useful one I've ever had. I'm really excited and I added a words section to write down definitions and information about things I'm not totally familiar with + extra info I find useful. It's almost 3am here so I'll continue tomorrow with the next episode. I've already watched a couple but I want to do it in order and pay better attention (I spent more than three hours with this one and I KNOW it's a 5-minute video but I'm really excited). Thanks for sharing a little bit of your knowledge with the Internet, I'm watching all the way from Uruguay! Sending lots of love and good vibes xx
Hi Catty! This is so amazing! Keep up the incredible work! :D By the way, have you heard about our contest? Check out our Community Tab! -NYVC

Thanks for watching, RO! So glad you enjoyed it! -NYVC
I've heard about all these kind of breathing but when I am singing I can't focuss on them, I am to worried about the lyrics, the key, the high notes, the low notes, etc, anyway would be great if you could add some clip with some daily exercise rutine about these breathing and how to work with them while singing. thaks a lot
Exactly
Layla Maria That's why you need to practice. Til it becomes natural for you
MUST practice breathing independently of practicing your scales etc. Devote 10-15% of your warmups to breath exercises...
It took me about a year to be able to manage my breath and getting my body used to breathing with my abdomen or diaphragm. Teaching your body is a constant training, practice every day at least for 5-10 minutes but dont give up, your body will learn where to breath, once you manage to breath you'll be set! Breath is #1 before pitches, notes and all the other stuff! I'm currently singing in a choir that I audition for, I never thought I was going to make it here but not giving up to my dream had gotten me here 😊 dont give up
Hi Layla! We have other episodes on breathing now that have exercises. Both in our Voice Lessons To The World Series and also our Quick Singing Tips series. We hope you check them out and that they’re helpful! -NYVC
Man u r the Best!, Was looking for a teacher who explain everything properly step by step. thank you very much :)

We're so glad! -NYVC
Well here goes guys. I just found this channel and I'm going to watch as many episodes as I can. My own mother told me when I was young that I could not sing and she was a classical pianist and made her own album and led worship in many churches we went to. I wondered how she was able to tell that I could not sing, so I decided to try it to see if she was right. I think I've come a long way since then but I've never done any real training like this for it. I've just tried singing songs I like and copy their styles. But this channel has such a spirit of excellence that I'm going to try and watch every episode and put everything to practice. We will see whether I can sing or not by the end! May the Lord be with me and may his grace be with all of you. Let's get started.
WOO HOO! You definitely CAN sing TG! And, we are here for you as you begin this journey. Looking forward to all that is in store for you! Keep up the awesome work and be sure to comment along the way! -NYVC
This comes in handy now since I have not been singing this summer and this evening we have a Jam Session. When I took singing-lessons for 5 1/2 years here in the Netherlands, I was taught to use the abdominal breathing. I am really glad with the last form of breathing since I am going to fysio therapy for chronic lower back pain the last couple of months.
Hope you are doing well. -NYVC
I found you today. I saw some videos. Thanks for your time and because these gifts.
