    I grew up a Giants fan, went to countless Giants games with my dad, and even took my own kids to watch the Giants play....I can honestly say that Barry Bonds is the greatest I've ever seen play the game. NO ONE went to the bathroom or went to get food at the park when Barry was coming up to bat. NO ONE.

      I agree 100% growing up in the California central valley in the 90's I was obsessed with Barry and I still believe he was the greatest. He did it all better than anybody. Some guys are good at a few things an lack in others. Not Barry he was a stud. The media just didn't get him. Ballplayers play ball, they aren't typical celebrities yet they're expected to be.

    Here's an interesting fact for everyone to know: Barry Bonds has only 1 season where he struck out over 100 times in a season (his rookie year) but Barry Bonds had 14 season where he's walked over 100 times and 5 seasons where he's walked over 150 times... That's ridiculous 🤦🏿‍♂️

    • @leecowell8165
      @leecowell8165 Před rokem +5

      totally. he was intentionally walked over 600 times in his career that is totally insane! That's how feared he was at the plate. Nobody and I mean NOBODY wanted any part of this guy! The only way to get him out was to throw STRIKES... something that was very risky because no place in that zone was safe.

To me, his best "overall" year was in 1993. He could do it all at the highest level. I will say that 2004 was special though as he had more HRs than he had strikeouts. Watching his reactions to the records he broke makes me think all he cared about were stats. That’s cool I guess, but goddam that swings sweeter than Griffs in my opinion

      A few have hit 500 footers including Bonds. But there aren't any 500 foot ballparks or you'd be having a shitpot full of inside the park homers...

    This dude would have been a first ballot hall of famer if he did not do steroids but again remember he was still a very good hitter before steroids, I don’t know really he took those but I guess he just wanted to be better.
