Back in the AFL days of the late 1960s and early 70s, I was a big Oakland Raiders fan. I was especially a big Jim Otto (00) fan. When I played Pop Warner, we all wanted our centers to play like Jim! Anyway, I recall a Raiders vs Bears game in the mid 70s where Jim flattened the middle linebacker (one Dick Butkus) on a running play. It was a sight to see.

Thank you for sharing that story, I love it! There were a lot of great players and teams of the 1970s I would have enjoyed seeing.

Man! I like both the Fleer and Topps Otto rookies, especially the Topps. There seems to be some pretty reliable evidence and footage that the way Otto claims to have seen the play wasn't quite right. Interesting that he didn't mention the actual catch by Franco. Maybe Franco did catch it.

Otto was on the side that loss in an incredible game so he may be thinking, "stolen game" and here's why. Some plays happen so fast, but there is film footage to see what happened. Still, Jim Otto's story and life is incredible. This Topps RC is pretty popular from everything I hear. It's kinda difficult condition-wise.
