HENDON 2-1 SPORTING BENGAL UTD - Highlights 26 March 2024

Hendon won this London Senior Cup quarter-final with two injury time goals after a very good Bengal side threatened to cause another upset.
Late goals from Brosnan and Leonard gave us the fortuitous victory and we now have another semi-final to look forward to.

Ethan Light: it's easy to be critical, but considering he's only 19 and you just expect his ability to come through in a day.
I think he can play for England, and you don't have to be Pele to know he has it all.
He's had to fight for this team, when others would not, in his position. A real professional.
Full of true grit and courage. I hope that inspires others to achieve more.
You don't require luck in the National League, but get to where you belong. You know your place.

In the Essex Senior League, all sides look strong in possession, but Hendon rely more on using their individual talent to cause things to happen. It nearly backfired in this game.
Some faces were missing, but certain players seem to only contribute what they decide to. They choose not to work harder for the team!
It should be simple- every other side do it.
Its not what players do when in possession that matters. Its what the rest do without it.
Sporting found open spaces and supported colleagues with the ball. They allowed the ball to do the work.
Always have options.
Hendon seem scared of making decisions, when near the goal. It's like they'll be blamed for wasting chances.
They have enough of the ball, so when without the ball, get into a suitable position to receive it.
For those attacking: look up and pass to a player in a better area.
