I’m more surprised we didn’t ONCE have any mention of Rick this episode, figured he’d just be shown at the post credits scene at least. Making some 4th wall joke that he didn’t want to take part in the episode or something.

I agree so much. This was a good refresher and one of the better ones this season. Imo R&M works better, when the episodes are stand alone, rather then a grand narrative. Espcially, because of the whole multiverse thing, where nothing matters.
One detail i loved was when magma Q is dead, another letter drops a handkerchief over his face to cover it and it immediately sizzles away 😂
Honestly this one is the first miss of the season for me which is so good compared to the last couple seasons.

This season feels like the direct sequel to season 2 in terms of episode concepts. We got to see unity again, ice T, as well as following up on Rick’s friends. Honestly season 7 is one of my favorites.
sadly this episodes is useless. unlike his previous appearance where there are cosmic giants as spectators, this is just plain fillers. yuck
I liked all the episodes, but most episodes feel like filler. That isn't bad but I hope next season isn't the same.

i’ve been watching this show since the pilot in 2013, i have never been as disappointed by an episode. i think this has got to be the worst episode in all of richard and mortimer

Since this episode originated from that post credit scene, they could have easily removed Morty from the episode, and make a 4th wall joke about it.

If you want to surprise the audience with an episode not at all about Rick or Morty, then go 100% on it.
or, if you really want to include Morty, then make him annoyed by all the letters and numbers puns.
This isn’t current morty I believe so his character development would be from whatever season get swifty was on

This episode took one of the dumbest side plots from the series and expanded it in the most ridiculous way imaginable, and I was personally not a fan
Tell me about it...I almost can see the writers laughing there ass's off putting this out..worst episode ever! I can't even care about the breakdown....I just came to see if I was the minority or if anyone else hated it also!
The idea of following up on the Ice-T pun was fine ... but we DID NOT need an entire episode devoted to it and ONLY it.
We needed a b-plot or something to help fill the episode.
IF the number war was only half the episode I think it would have been fine.
It has some funny moments but as a whole just felt like someone took a 10 minute joke and stretched it way too far.

This just reminded me how much I'm entertained by Rick's careless intellegence pouring out insults the entire time. It also feels like they kept the plot pretty tamed in this. Doesn't feel like a rick and morty style story. Theyre usually more satirical when ripping off old media. This just felt like a time crunched comedy version of the actual type of story its parodying. I think I would've liked seeing morty a little more annoyed about the situation. It would've made him feel like the balance that the core of the show usually has.
It almost felt like a comedy attempt at getting high school kids into maths. It didn't feel like a rick and forty show at all

Good breakdown, I was drinking/eating while watching this and the 7/T connection went right over my head. I was thinking based on the outfit that 7 might have been modeled after the seventh sister from Star Wars.

Not going to lie, this was the worst episode I’ve ever seen in the show, it astounds me they decided to make such a bad joke into a full length episode. However it’s the only episode of the season I’ve hated so that’s a good sign I guess

I'm glad other people didn't like this EP. It's annoying that they moved rocks story so much in the mid season and still aren't moving that forward anymore

another thing i noticed for the editing geeks: in this episode they used a ton of swipe transitions, an editing tool heavily utilized by all star wars movies. never noticed any swipes in rick and morty before, so i figured its intentional

1:35 u forgot about the squirrel dimension. it was a mindblower so we don't know exactly when it took place, but presumably between the cronenberg jump and the frundles jump. the Ice T from Get Schwifty could either be in the universe where squirrels turned on us, or the universe that became mr. frundles.
The squirrels and mr. Frundles were in the same dimension i.e. C-131. Rick and Morty somehow stopped the squirrels.

I wasn’t a huge fan of this episode but I did watch the whole thing and enjoyed it. So I guess I am a fan haha
Ok, let's just say it. This episode was 95% tedium. Not only the worst of the season but the low point of all of them. As a 30 sec skit it would have been fine - a momentary frolic through absurdism - but good god did it get dull... A few jokes landed but you could count them on one hand. It wasn't an episode, there weren't any stakes, there was no character and even the plot was 4th wall referenced as being on cliche' rails. Even the credits made clear that this was throw away interdimensional cable where Morty was there and it's not worth pausing for an explanation because it's paper thin.
Pity because the last one was really good and having a non-Rick episode was a solid idea.
While I laughed like hell during this episode and found every scene had about 5 killer jokes and puns, this is the second episode this season that is effectively a stand alone, and it comes after the first one.
Time to get back on track. Bring back Rick and let’s get going on the story. One palate cleanser after Rick Prime gets killed is fine. Two feels like the kitchen is running behind.
I don't think the writers care much about continuity anymore. And it is better IMO. Every episode should be a stand-alone, this isn't some drama series.
Rick and Morty's falloff needs to be studied.

In my country there was a magazine fros kids that came with a toy, at first those toys were letters of the alphabet and later they made numbers, they transformed into cute little robots, they had an antire story writen as well. I thought this was a reference to that

a wonderful non rick episode. loved it. i loved it for the development of Morty's world.
I did enjoy how random a lot of the turns were. Like a really bad but trying hard edutainment cartoon.
Oxygen S's face also looks like it was inspired by Judas. (Not 100% sure on that one, but I think they did that)
