To answer your Q around @10:04: In Magic, a match continues until time elapses or a player wins 2 games. At the end of time, if a player has won more games than the other, that player wins the match. If any number of games are drawn, basically those don't count. I had a buddy many years ago turn in a 2-0-13 match slip.
He was playing Worldgorger Dragon combo in Vintage and his opponent sideboard in Root Maze. 13 games went: "I play Root Maze." "Ok, I'll Dragon combo out. I can't win because I can't make mana or discard/mill my deck, so it's a draw." That went on a bunch of times before his opponent asked "When are you going to stop drawing the game?" "When you stop having Root Maze."

I really like this deck but I do recognize it's a problem. Hard thing is what do you ban out of it that really hurts it besides Amalia? Banning Wildgrowth Walker just feels weird considering it's a just a fringe uncommon
If i had to ban something from the deck and it not be amalia or walker then it would maybe be chord? Force them to use CoCo if they want to try and win at instant speed? But then again i really just enjoy chord of calling as a card so in any event that something from this deck ill be a pretty sad boy
As an amalia player I obviously dont want to see the deck banned, but I get the draw problem. Maybe a solution to this could be a change in the rules of the game and actually making rounds best of 3 and not the first to 2. Drawing would still be a thing but we will no longer be having to start games over and over until someone gets a bad hand. That said I dont know what other implications that could have.
Idk if i like capping a match to 3 games no matter what only for the fact that for this deck in particular you could force 2 draws and a win in some combo and give your opp no chance of winning if they go down a game and draw another. Idk if there is a real fix for it other than making pump/protection spells worthless. But who knows if it even really comes up in even a majority of MU’s if the game can end in a draw outside of the amalia player causing it
