Waste Not is 1000% a control deck, and I will die on this hill. It leans a little more on the interaction axis than the economy/inevitability axis (since it lacks the card selection that UW Control does), but it's for sure a control deck at its core.

Basically how i felt about it. I could see builds maybe leaning toward more midrange but at that point you are probably better off just playing rakdos vamps

There's a lot of really powerful decks Especially green and black ones Not listed in the meta but Can definitely win

I don’t doubt it! Thats kinda why i put the disclaimer in before getting into the different decks. I def prioritize format knowledge with whatever deck you decide to play over playing the best deck in the format
