Metallica doesn't charge a fee for Meet & Greets. The young man in the wheelchair's wish was granted by the Starlight Foundation and the gentleman with the t-shirt collection won a contest.
The band regularly has Meet & Greet's at almost every show for members of their Fan Club who win the chance to meet them.
I'd give a leg to meet y'all
@@floridianthrasher5426 I would give two of them
absolutely true, I won a meet and greet with all four members (2013)
i would give my sight, speech, hearing, arms, legs and soul and be left with a life in hell to meet the band .
Hi james hetifled
They need to play Where the Wild Things Are, Bad Seed, Cure, Fixxxer, and Thorn Within.
Trent Carr Hell yea! Those songs are very underrated.
Trent Carr
Thorn Within riff is cool. Really cool.
Hage Matt cure is my favourite
Only fixxxer the rest sucks
Well where the wild things are is not bad but the others are horrendous
how about outlaw torn and hero of the day? maybe lowman lyric or mama said? or perhaps ronnie?
Lars is absolutely the coolest guy with the fans. that was a really cool gesture.
6:55 "Do you guys wanna play Disposable?", 7:01 "Disposable?", 7:20 "Disposable?", 7:23 (Plays Disposable)
No Disposable, denied XD Poor Kirk.
Rip kirks disposable
That was pretty awesome of Lars to do that for the kid and his mother.
Lars is always really nice with the fans
Except when he sues them
@@josephstalin2829 thats cause those "fans" are greedy cunts
@@josephstalin2829 Of Course you’d say that, Joseph Stalin.
They Sued Napster, not the Fans. No Fan Has Ever been reported to have been sued and Payed Money because of Napster. That was Napster’s tactic to turn fans Against them.
@@josephstalin2829 go to hell
Best performance of Carpe diem Baby. Tempo is spot on and the vocals sound killer.
They should do Carpe Diem Baby more often. One of my favorite songs from Reload and sounds great live.
HEYitzED i think its alot better live! i dont dislike the load reload albums but theres very little on them thats good live but this one really comes to life when played live
Agreed. Kirk especially killed it!
+HEYitzED Couldn't agree more.
there's a lot of good songs in those albums, I love all them records but that's my personal taste
I've seldom heard a band reproduce a studio song as well. Absolutely nothing fake in Metallica.
4:55
Lars: You got a drum kit at home?
Guy: Yeah but.. but I'm not brilliant yet... so...
Lars: Neither am I so, ya know, but look what I get away with!
At leat he's honest... The best that he's ever done is the ...And jusice for all album
María Palacios and he had Connie Nielsen in her best years... even Maximus couldn't do that...
The kid could probably play double bass drums better than Lars though.
Oh dude hahahahahahah!!!!!!!
Michael Angelo H. he doesn't sabotage himself. hes rich and setup for life. he doesn't care for that anymore
Lars is such a nice guy, and he also inspired me to play the drums
i actually like the load and reload albums
same
great albums!
Damn yeah!, great couple
jason_todd they are awesome
They're different from the 80s stuff so it's hard to compare them but yeah I like them also
What Lars did for that kid was pretty amazing!
Jonas Secture Just goes to show you that being famous is no excuse for not having a heart and soul.
Mr. Lars Ulrich is a real Gentleman
I hate when people say Lars is a dick. He is a nice guy this video just goes to to show. i would love to meet him in person. He seem's like a grade A guy. Much love lars xxxxxxxx
he's pretty nice now, but he used to be a dick
@@Samford_ He was playing the whole rockstar thing but was always nice to fans tho.
@@dimitridrapeau1103 yeah i was just gonna say that.
I just thought to search the definition of 'Carpe Diem', after all these years of listening to this song.
It means to give little thought about the future.. Make the most out of the present.
This is why I love Metallica.
never saw dead poets society?
Nunca pensé escuchar Carpe Diem Baby en vivo. Qué joya. Gran momento ReLoad.
This stereo effect is awesome I love that especially live
Dude that ending how all three of them standing together was amazing and gave me chills.... fucking awesome
Carpe Diem Baby is such a great overlooked song. And damn, Kirk killed it on that solo - one of the best I've heard from him.
Hard to believe Carpe Diem is the 6th song from reload to be performed live.
Metallica played six songs off of Reload at this concert? What did they play? I am sure The Memory Remains and Fuel. What others did they play off of Reload?
Joe Schmoe There's also Devil's Dance (44 times), Low Man's Lyrics (65 times) and The Unforgiven II (once), according to their official website.
***** yeah i wish they would play it more often
No mix full
7th
not only the best fucking band that ever walk the face of the earth they actually care about there fans. Thank you MetallicaA for the great years and more to come!!!
Carpe Diem is such an underrated song
I love it wen they play the songs as they had recorded them in the studio
Prince Charming, I NEED IT
I'M THE 45
Can a brother get Cure, Wasting My Hate, and Fixxxer live?
+The Film Effect NO!
and Hero of the day too
they play Wasting My Hate in the 96-97 pour touringme several times... and ("cure fixxxer and olso bad seed" were porfom. in some jamming in those years)
Your not a brother!!! You dumb fucking moron.
Don't forget Bleeding Me
Fixxxer, Low Man's Lyric, Prince Charming, and Carpe Diem are top notch. The best off of Re-Load, and they should really play them more often.
I agree! Don’t forget Devil’s Dance though!
Carpe diem baby is one damn good song. Hope they keep playing it live. Now if they could start playing fixxxer.....
Maggai It would be awesome, but I think they will never play it live. :(
Atheist Metalhead
Probably not :( But I'll keep my hopes up, maybe one day!
Agreed, I would love to here Fixxxer Live!
James himself recently said it aint happenin
@@Maggai hi
Carpe diem Baby is really cool song, i think they should aim at that kind of songs in the next album... Load and reload both have a great vocal work!
And you guessed it lady! hardwired have some load/realoadish songs like dream no more, now that we’re dead and murder one
Lars is such a nice guy.
Definitelly one of my favourites of all metallica songs. Carpe Diem, baby!
i absolutely love "the day that never comes"... i wish they would play it more!
I think cunning stunts is my favorite Metallica concert!!🤘🤘
One of my favorite songs of all time! I wish I could see em play Carpe Diem Baby live.
LIVE WIN
DARE FAIL!
EAT DIRT
BITE THE NAIL!!!
So accommodating! You guys are the best. Love it
James is,just so cool and down to Earth. He is an awesome guy.
What an amazing moment for that lad! Flown all the way to Detroit from Kent then getting to sit behind Lars during the set. Mr Ulrich you are a Legend.
Robert is an amazing man! 23:24 LOL!
MRlight Soul hahahaha had me laughing too! :D
thanks for finally releasing MOT vids in the resolution they got recorded!
I was there and I can say it was amazing. It was my first time and I cried the entire time. I'd waited since I was in the second grade, so 10 years. I speak for myself when I say I love my homegrown best band in the world, and that exactly what they are. I had the passion. I live Metallica. I also took my 65 year old grandmother, she had a blast. Oh, and don't be so quick to judge. many of the people from there were not only from America, but a large part from Canada and Europe.
xoxo
I wish they'd play more Load/Reload songs live. SO many good songs, and they translate really well live for Older Hetfield.
I loved this! My first concert and it was my favorite band
Was at this show. So amazing. Thanks for coming to Detroit and for coming back next year! Can't wait to be there again.
We want more of this concert!!!!!
absolutely right...you´ve got to love these guys !!!
greetings from berlin (germany).
So great to seem them still having fun and seeming happy after all these years.
So true.. And his voice has improved so much in the last year.
Holy hell, that was an amazing performance of The Day that Never Comes..
Yeah!!! LOVE it!
Is it just me or was James voice the best it's ever been he's got the growl back!
Gracias por existir !!!!!
the bass mixing is so much better on met on tour now than it used to be. Fucking impressive!
Two Favorites,,,,,,, Awesome
yes they do!
lovin it
I think that realising that they've done it all and are now using the band as a "fun getaway" from all is making them play at their own pace and refreshed style. They're getting better, they're getting faster and more and more agressive (with a new movie and everything!) and i just hope they will show that in their next album
loving those songs...
PURE AWESOMENESS
I´ve been to a M&G 3 years ago. All are cool, but James is so focused and clear and Lars connects to the people very well. Awesome guys!
WOW The Day That Never Comes was so EPIC!!! I think that may be my newest favorite live performance video. Fantastic footage and editing too, please bring upload Orion next!!!!!!!! I'm gonna drive out of state to an IMAX theater just to see Through The Never, just saying.
Metallica is so awesome! I can´t say it in words.
James the pipes are getting so much better.
Freakin' epic!
They way Kirk enjoyed that solo was A W E S O M E !!!!!!
Load and Reload finally start to get more appreciation
I want that explorer...
If you’re talking about the ken Lawrence go into Rareelectricguitars.com and email them a pic of the guitar and they will build it for you just like James they do a great job I’ve got one it’s amazing!
The Day That Never Comes is so underated, that needs to be a staple of the setlist, or at least play it at every other show. Ditto with My friend Of Misery (With the harmony thing in the middle)
Totally love this song! It would be great to hear Wasting my Hate another time!
Mis 2 temas favoritos *.*
the beginning of this video make me cry! Lars Ulrich is a fucking true man!!!!!!
what awesome guys they are to the fans. that was really super nice offer from lars to that kid.
i think metallica do a lot for their fans more than any other band ever.
I love carpe diem baby, amazing song. and of course the day that never comes is so cool song.
Lars didn't even blink an eye when the fan asked him to sign his LEG. I mean, wasn't it a bit strange to sign someone's artificial leg.. He just proved his respect for the fans, no matter if young/old healthy/disabled..
Load and Reload were great albums.
Seize the day that never comes, baby!!
they play so fucking perfectly live, such legends
Fantastic! I'll wait for you guys in ROCK IN RIO ! \o/
Yes, he is. I can vouch for that.
metallica por siempreee!!!!
Wow man, Carpe Diem Baby was 🔥🔥🔥. Load and Reload had some AWESOME stuff.
there are many grat songs on reload... fixxer, prince charming,attitude... should be performed on live some day!!!
prince charming
Prince Charming and Attitude are SO underrated.
I've had the pleasure of meeting the guys in Metallica in Detroit (2003) they really do care about their fans. Just another reason to love this band. Also, I disappear live rules! KB
Great gesture lars always like seeing acts of kindness
LOAD AND RELOAD SONG ARE AWESOME!!
love that they playing stuff from Load and ReLoad era, great songs
What an awesome weekend! Was there both nights and i gotta say Metallica gave a kickass show! Was right up front on this night near the sign language interpreter. Last years Orion was amazing and this one was even better. Kill Em All baby! \m/
Wow...you can really hear Rob in this...one of my favorite songs period ! Should play it more for sure
C'est vraiment des chansons géniales, j'adore !
I WAS AT ORION FEST THIS YEAR.. During this little awards thing james did i waved at him. He smiled and winked back at me and it was fucking awesome!!!!! I got so close i could almost touch him..... This was my first live Metallica expirience and at 16 years old my life is complete!! Metalica fucking rules
the day that never comes has fantastic lyrics really
"Carpe Diem Baby" Super cool!!! Awesome!!
Carpe Diem is such an underrated song, probably my favorite from Reload along with Bad Seed and Devil's Dance.
+SparkyMcK Load and ReLoad are underrated... sad.. many great songs.
+SparkyMcK the house that jack built, great song, sadly never played live..
SparkyGol noooo
Attitude, Prince Charming! Mental songs real groovers
