    Don't know how I lived without this for so long! I make dog food for 2 of our dogs czcams.com/users/postUgkxG-7WiT7ocumjytOpHDFt632PL0pxXRAg (we have 5!) and it is so much quicker in this. Love having the inner pot stainless so I can use my immersion blender right in it without worrying about scratching. It makes potatoes great and fast! Still working on the vegetables, first time came out great, second time I did different ones and they were a little too mushy. Just need to adjust the time. I highly recommend this pot!!!

  • @GS-wn2dw
    @GS-wn2dw Před 6 lety +9

    Many parts of the south and southeast prepare BBQ without tomato-based sauce. Frequently, BBQ rubs are used. After watching your video last week, we did our experiment based on yours but a little modified (would have posted photos only if replies section allows it, but it doesn’t.). So your same method; however we used dry italian seasonings instead (Good Seasons brand; zesty italian), and we substituted apple cidar for soda. Electric mixer was AVOIDED. We noticed that electric mixers shred the soft parts first, whereas the harder meat “nodes” get a little smaller but not shredded. If you give mixer longer time, then it will shred all meat very finely, but that unique texture of meat will be lost. Hand-and-fork shredding (obviously after meat had cooled off a little) was recommended to us by 2 wiser older generations who happened to have spent time in the low country!

    Used you recipe - best pulled pork. I used a rub - a secrete blend given to me without sharing the ingredients, also salted the pork and added a little Worcestershire sauce . I saved the liquid and after refrigerated, skimmed off the fat. I added only about an fifth a cup barbecue sauce to the shredded pork. If more barbecue sauce is desired, add it to the sandwich. We ate too much, it was that good. Refrigerated the rest and used it with sandwiches, with tacos and burritos. Before heating the left overs, I added a few tablespoons of the saved liquid and also chopped garlic. The left overs might be more delicious. Thank you - will make more tomorrow hope it will last more than five days.

    Woohoo! I've been waiting for an instant pot pulled pork. Usually used the crockpot which took 8-10hrs. I use Dr pepper, root beer or Coke in mine and it's sooooo good! Idk if I enjoy your recipes or watching you in the kitchen best, lol.... I've made around 8 of your recipes so far and Tonite trying the spicy sausage n pasta. Right now I have mujadara going. (Egyptian rice n lentils) 🍴

    Bought my first for Xmas this year... I love your instant pot videos... best on CZcams... but that stand mixer pulverized the texture right out of your recipe. I'll keep watching... even though I now know you are mortal. LOL :)

    So what's a nice Jewish boy eating pork, already? On the same level as the look we got at the supermarket when we were getting some matzos around Passover/Easter, as we respect that these come right from the Holy Land, and a lady looked into our cart only to see the box of matzos sitting right next to the ham we'd gotten for Easter. We all had a laugh over it and went our separate ways. I'll use this as a base and see what yumminess comes out!

    No slaw on your sandwich?? To me it's the only way to go. You should try it. Adds good texture.
    Which model IP is that?? I have just ordered an 8 qt Duo Plus.i have the 6 quart Duo already.

      Definitely not the stand mixer, looks like crap. It’s so easy to shred it with a fork. In fact the stand mixer is more work for a disgusting result.
