My school won't let me decorate my cap, or we can't walk, but I would have done something Glee themed and centered around my favorite quote, "Shame is a wasted emotion."
Ashley Decelles my high school did that, but in their defense my graduating class was less than 20 lol
I know when I graduated last year, my school didn’t let us, but some people bought a second graduation cap from either Michael’s or probably Amazon and decorated that instead. Obviously they had to wear the non decorated one for the ceremony, but they wore the decorated one for pictures after..you could always do that! That way you can still decorate one 😁
Same. My school said we couldn't get our diplomas and walk if we decorated cause it would be to distracting or something.
That is good that they won't let you. Emma is disgracing her school by decorating her cap.

I just decorated my cap for undergrad and I did it in a Harry Potter style! ⚡
Mine had a pic of Sirius Black on it and it said "I did my waiting!! 5 years of it!!" (Because I completed a duel degree in 5 years.) ☺️

i love the look of white rose with black paint splattered all over it haha. or just like dirt. it looks cool and not jsut all black. and its a mix of black and white. it looks as if the white rose got all dirty but it still looks pretty

I am graduating from high school around this time next year. I have heard we are allowed to decorate so this girl has been looking into many many many bookish ideas for my cap. I haven’t decided what I want to do yet but I have seen lots of great things. Yours has come out beautiful and I agree with you. I felt like there needed to be more and you added more, it looks great! Congratulations on graduating!
the cap looks so good Emma! one tip for future reference with cutting with any knives or anything like that is to get yourself a cutting mat, they usually have measurements and straight lines of them to help with the cutting, and they'll stop any marks from getting on your tables. congratulations!

I absolutely loved you graduation cap and when you started adding flowers, I thought that it was a reference to the chapter, The Midnight Flower, that you used for the pages on the top of your cap.

CONGRATS EMMA!!!!! GOD your grad cap is drop-dead gorgeous!!! All bookish and amazing and I cant believe you did it all by yourself, and you're not even a DIY/lifestyle youtuber!! Amazing! I graduated college last September 2017 but I was too lazy to manually create my grad cap, so I got one of those Amazon sticky-grad-cap decoration things that you just stick adhesive to your original cap and call it a day haha! My quote was "Nevertheless, She Persisted" from Elizabeth Warren's battle with Senator McConnell.

I have so many quotes I love, I have no idea how I'll choose. Lots of amazing bible verses, but also quotes from books and musicals...it's gonna be a hard decision.
I graduated from my masters program in February so congratulations class of 2018 ! I didn’t walk at my graduation but I thought I was going to be able to travel for it and I did plan how I would have decorated my cap. I wanted the ACOMAF quote “ to the stars that listen ....” with like a galaxy background. Pretty basic but I thought it was fitting. Congrats again !

I actually did something really similar with my cap when I graduated high school! I made copies of my favorite pages from a few of my favorite books and did a base really similar to yours! I had the quote 'On to my next chapter' on it, had some daisy and book stickers on it and had a border made of green and gold ribbon (my school colors)!

Hey Emma! I watched this video on my way home from finishing my last ever exam of my degree in genetics and cell biology! Weird coincidence! Graduations for my college won't happen until November though and we don't even get caps we just have to rent the robes for a day, bummer! If you ever have to use an x-acto knife again, try a box cutter. They work better for me with thicker materials! (: I love this! That is brilliant! Congrats! 💕💕

I loved this so much!! We don't get caps like those in my country but when I was an exchange student in Ohio I got one for my graduation but I didn't even know you could decorate it so I missed that 😭 but if I graduate from college next year I will take that one to the ceremony and decorate it 😏😍
This came in such a perfect timing! I'm currently decorating my graduation cap(s), as in my country it's not a tradition, I decided to do one for myself for some pictures, but i'm still indecisive on the final design!
My cap had an HP quote and the background was the marauders map. I also added the Slytherin crest and an apple because I graduated as a teacher. 😊

for my graduation of high school last weekend, we got the caps on the day as well as the gowns. i want to definitely decorate my university grad cap for a bachelors of science. i think i’m going to decorate mine as either throne of glass by sarah j maas themed or ACOTAR by sjm, or cassy clare themed. tog is my favourite series so i’m thinking that as my theme if i’m able to decorate it in 4 years from now

Mine was a modified lyric from the musical episode of Once Upon a Time and said "a happy beginning now is mine" in rose gold glitter calligraphy, blush pink roses in the corners with the corners lined with small clear gems ❤❤ I love yours, I almost made a small book on my cap with the quote "words have the power to change us" but the words would have been way too small to read.
