Woman outraged after finding hidden camera in London, Ont. Airbnb

- A woman is speaking out after being secretly filmed in her bedroom while staying at a London, Ont. Airbnb. She says the camera was found in a phone charger in her room.
Chloe Le Brument and her partner took a quick trip for a music festival this summer. After hitting the road the next morning, the couple realized they had mistakenly taken the charger from the room, thinking it was theirs.
The host's behaviour escalated, frantically pestering the couple with text messages and saying they needed to return the device immediately or he would charge them $70 dollars.
After a closer look, Le Brument says it was her 15-year-old son who discovered there was a hidden camera inside. Within hours, the family notified the police. Brittany Rosen has the story.

The point is Abinash Samal was doing it at this location and got caught. It is against the Airbnb policy, but Samal was doing it anyways. So how many other Airbnb hosts have been doing this without getting caught with it, and how long did this go on for at this location? @@sean4060
The advisement of cameras in the rental agreement, that you are supposed to read. But I thought it was limited, not supposed to be the bathroom or bedroom requirement of the landlord.

There are some really creepy landlords, and there are some good landlords too🐰some move next to you, so they can spy on you, and go in your house when you are gone.
Airbnb is no longer cheap, I stopped using it years ago.
A private 4 bedroom home is not supposed to be cheap. However, a 1 bedroom suite can be found for cheap
Airbnb better for group trips. Not for singles
If you get a bigger place they tend to add extra cleaning fees and stuff but overall still usually cheaper than a hotel suite
Check your rooms! Including hotel/ motels as well, tape up anything strange.
Don't use Airbnb. Why would you trust living in someone else's house?

You can get outdoor indoor devices in the name of so called personal security... this is everywhere but not to be used for other nefarious reasons. Check for two-way mirrors in the bathroom by touching it with your fingertip. If there is a space between your tip and the image it's okay but if there is no space between your fingertip and the image on the mirror then chances are it's a two-way mirror. Or you can shine a strong flashlight directly at the mirror and see if it goes through.

Don't RENT Airbnb, you can't sue them. If you do will COSTS you a lot of money $$$$$$.
I've been an Airbnb host for 5 years now and I have nothing but five star rating and all my guests leave wonderful things in the guest book so take it easy a little bit. If you really believe your comment then don't stay at a hotel either because they can be disaster pieces as well.

@@Nagle1234 no not saying Air BNB should be regulated. I'm saying Ban them. They're completely operating under whatever the operator feels like. No hotel codes or ethics. They're not all bad but there are enough of these. These also take away from the hotel industry and they're in strata units etc...that could be for people to live in as either rentals or purchased. Most Air BnB's are contrary to Canadian Zoning Bylaws, since they're mostly commercial entities and don't fit in the Bed and Breakfast model of home base business.
Just imagine where those videos could end up! I would sue them privately too.

I have been Airbnb host now for 4 years and have nothing but five star comments and wonderful write-ups in my guest book.
I've worked very hard to have a nice place for my guests and I'm not doing anything weird like this.
Yes this is a terrible story but I'm sure if you researched Hotels you could dig up all kinds of disgusting and weird stories as well of all different sorts.
