    I’m going to share with you my favorite recipe. I love the images it produces. It’s just called ‘Film’
    Film Sim- Classic Negative
    Grain- 0
    Color Chrome effect- Strong
    Color chrome FX blue- strong
    White balance-Auto with R(-2) and B (-5)
    Dynamic Range- 400
    Highlights- (-2)
    Shadows- (-2)
    Color- +4
    Sharpness- 0
    Noise reduction- (-4)
    Clarity- 0
    And exposure comp of +1 to +2 based on your scene. I like bright photos. Let me know what you think of this recipe!
    Great video! Keep it up. Have a great day.

    Hi, great video. Like also how you explain these film recipes, which I like. I am a Nikon Z shooter, Z8 and Zf but looking at a small compact camera like the Fuji X100vi, XT-50 or older model for EDC. What would you recommend? I read XT-3 / 30ii are great value for money, but fear that coming from Nikon Z top cameras I may be disappointed with these older models so better go for the latest Fuji's. Nice work, keep it on.

    • @BrayGrayy
      @BrayGrayy  Před měsícem +2

      Thanks! I've honestly only used the X-T50 and X-T5, but I know they both have the same imaging capabilities as the X100vi. If compactness is your main want, the X-T50 is your best bet. I've heard some say they like the sensor better on the X-T3/30ii, but I haven't had any complaints about the newer 40mp one. As someone who also uses a Sony A74 and A7C2, the X-T50 definitely feels less "pro" but it's a fun little EDC camera.

    • @Gualdo007
      @Gualdo007 Před měsícem

      @@BrayGrayy It will be either the X100vi, which seems like harder to get than winning the lottery or the XT-50 with one or two primes. I won't go for a XT-5, which is too close to my Zf in weight and size. Thanks Braylan!

      @@Gualdo007I have both xt30 xt5 xt50 xh2 i shot only on Fuji and tbh I don’t see much of a difference between the sensors only when you decide to crop a image then yes but xt50 is a good well built camera I recommend to everyone is your not able to get your hands on a x100vi also your always able to change your lens and if you get the xt50 try to get the 27mm pancake lens that’s how I use it fits in my pockets from pants to jackets it’s a great EDC

      @BrayGrayy  Před měsícem +2

      Haha, yeah I was on that waitlist for the X100vi too but when I found out the X-T50 was smaller and had the same capabilities I pivoted hard lol! The X-T5 is a great camera. I just couldn't justify keeping it because it feels so similar to my Sony A7C2

      @@BrayGrayy that’s my reason for buying it.I was getting the x-h2 originally but I take my camera to hikes a lot so I needed something lighter, the xt-50 seems less capable for what I want then the x-t5 so yeah all great choices tho!

    I've been really thinking of getting into photography again. I have been curious about this camera, how much post work are you doing or do the film simulations really look that good? I am hoping they do for the most part look that good as I want my wife to be able to be able to enjoy this hobby as well but she doesn't want to learn light room or photoshop. Obviously we know that post work can greatly enhance a picture but we want more memories that look good than art work.

    • @BrayGrayy
      @BrayGrayy  Před měsícem +4

      Yeah, I hear you for sure. I don't really do much editing in post with the X-T50. I do enough of that with my Sony cameras. The simulations and recipes are DEFINITELY enough to produce good quality images with character straight out of camera. As long as you're nailing exposure, focus, and composition you should be good.

      @@BrayGrayy thanks for the reply I greatly appreciate it. Also thank you for walking through the steps of syncing the camera with your phone, its a simple process but always good to see something like that when most other videos I find don’t show aspects of the functionality like that.

      Thank you 🙏🏿 The filter size needed is going to depend on the lens you use on it. For this vid I was using the Fuji 27mm f2.8 lens which uses a tiny 39mm filter size.

    Great video and soundtrack. I'm still researching all the pros and cons on whether to move over to Fujifilm from my Nikon but the simulations and recipes are a big incentive. Have you heard of Reggie Ballesteros film recipe on his CZcams channel? I'd be interested in knowing what you think of that one and seeing your results as he's put it out there that its the best all round use anywhere recipe and when I saw it I thought man I'm getting a Fulifilm even a second hand one (his vid is called.. recipe that made me stopped shooting RAW). A disappointing thing I'm hearing and seeing on CZcams though is people staying that Fuji have cut corners on the new X-T50, X-T5 and even the 100IV with thin paint that scratches easily, cheap feeling buttons and one vid showed a guy shooting with a 100IV and the hotshoe paint started peeling off in the midday heat. Not good and sort of puts me off esp at the this price point. Anyway love the content and chilled out presentation on your channel. Keep at it 😊

      @BrayGrayy  Před 22 dny

      @@darrenrichards4840 Thank you! I haven't tried that recipe, but I might have to give it a go! As far as build quality, I don't think the X-T50 or X-T5 feel cheap at all (though they're the only Fuji cameras I've used). I've been shooting in the hot San Diego summer and not paint chipping has occurred on my cameras.
