We love Iron Giant! 🤖 What should we do next?!
Any body else cry at the end every time even though they saw it like 100 times.😭
When I was younger my family and I would go to Blockbuster every two weeks and rent VHS tapes. Every time we went I would get the Iron Giant. At one point the store manager just gave me the VHS and said I can keep it.
WB really dropped the ball in not advertising Iron Giant enough...blaming it on audiences not wanting smarter films is such a cop out. :T
"Hey there, scout! Kent Mansley, I work for the government!"
You know, I hate when 2D and 3D animation are mixed together, but this one always seemed to work for me. I guess it's because of that excellent programming that shifted the lines a bit. More shows and movies need to do that if everything is not already digital.
The Iron Giant is probably one of my favorite animated films.
ohhhhh my god let me tell you about this movie i seen this movie in theater's with my elementary class and towards the end of the movie everyone (including me) was crying and when i can home my mom asked me how was the movie and i just said the robot blew up and went to my room, to this day i have not fully recovered.
I always loved the Iron Giant, as a kid and as an adult. When I finally got it on DVD, I showed it to my nephew who was 2 at the time, and he loved it so much, we would watch it on repeat, which was fine by me, I had to give him my copy to watch at his house and I got a new copy for my house. I hope that the lessons from this movie sticks with him when he grows up. I wanted to show him that he doesn't have to be the person everyone expect him to me, but to be the person he wants to be. I think this is a movie all children to watch, and all adults need to re-watch to be reminded of this lesson.
I am 22 and still cry when he goes I am super man ! 😭
107 FACT ABOUT CORALINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Iron Giant: You stay. I go. No following
Damn, even though this failed at the box office, at least Brad Bird is now getting the recognition he deserves.
I saw this movie on opening day. Had no expectations. I then went back to the theater and saw it again on opening night. I never saw a film twice on the same day before -- I was over 30 years old. It is still an absolute masterpiece.
After mentioning the "souls don't die" scene, I went back and rewatched it. Yeah... it's still as poignant and true now as then. I really, really love this movie.
I absolutely love this movie, I've never been an emotional person when watching movies, but this one always has my heart wrenching, watched it the other day on Netflix and it had me in tears on the verge of crying
One of my favorite movies of all time. I love the animation, the story, the soundtrack... I just love everything about it.
It wasn't the fact that it was a smart movie why it failed, it was because you sucked at marketing WB, you had no one to blame but yourself for that.
Can I be honest here,
Every scene where the Giant is sad makes my heart ache, especially when Dean yells at him in the junkyard.
