Arath Gomez Both are great...Have to say though when Gabby is focused....She's world class on all events...This beam performance proves it.
Arath Gomez Biles is actually not very solid on beam. What I mean is she usually has some minor balance checks in her routines. But her difficulty level is very rare.

I'm with you both! I'm intimidated by the fact I have so little space to work with. That supreme flip spin Gabrielle did, while landing awesomely on the beam, is incredible. Only in my dreams, lol.

I just watched Simone ... Awesome!! She is a 4 time World Champion. I didn't know who she was until this week. I pick her to win the All Around, Floor, Vaulting, maybe Balance beam. Gabby placed 4th in their last competition and she had troubles. But then again, confidence, determination and perseverance as well as an Olympic All Around title (2012) is hers already.

Because they get tense waiting for the judges scores and their placement in the competition. The judges make them tense.

I bet even though they are taught to focus on the event at hand many of them perform with lots of thoughts other than the performance on their mind. Perhaps them holding those serious stares helps them not to crumble within.
