24:58 Honestly Franziska insisting that Miles is her little brother makes perfect sense from the perspective of a young child feeling defensive of her place in her family (she would have been three when Gregory Edgeworth was killed). Miles joined their family after her; therefore, she has seniority and he is the little brother, regardless of age.
SungWon being snarky that he doesn't have Barbie memorized is funny in exactly the same way as the court only refusing to do the Three Symbols bit when Moe asks for it.
We never hear about Franziska having a mom or Manfred ever having a wife, so I've decided that the reason she responds "my dad? you must mean Manfred," as if there's any confusion, is because she has another dad, and he and Manfred just split up years ago.

I am actually a little curious about the entire Von Karma family. At one point in Turnabout Goodbyes, Manfred mentioned having a seven year old granddaughter. Given that Franny would've been ELEVEN when that grandbaby was born, we must assume she and Edgeworth have another older sibling, who hopefully is not at all involved in this family drama.

I think one of my fave parts of this game is the "drama" about Edgeworth😂😂😂.
I really, really like this scene with Franziska. This awful case becomes worth playing just for this. I can't go into detail about why I love it so much, because it would include spoilers for things that haven't happened yet, so I'll elaborate in a future episode. But yeah, Franziska is my favorite in this entire franchise :)

Can we talk about how Phoenix didn't bother telling Maya about Edgeworth all this time?
it's December 29th and the Kurain case was in mid-June. Our boy just told Maya not to mention Edgeworth again and didn't explain a damn thing for 6 months. By all accounts, Maya is super patient with him.
"I hope I don't say anything I'm going to regret". It was regretted, just not for the reason that was anticipated.
As much as we all dislike clown court, it does give us some brief Edgeworth content, which I know everyone is desperate for.

It also gives us some insight into Franziska as well, especially when it's revealed that Edgeworth is alive and as far as we know, only Gumshoe is aware of this fact. Franziska can be harsh, but it's clear how much she cares for Miles seeing as how the two of them were raised by Von Karma and we know how much harsher he was. They may not have a typical sibling relationship, but they were likely each others only friends, or as close as friends as you could get, growing up in the Von Karma household. It's rather sad and understandable why she's blaming Phoenix and in denial with Edgeworth's decision because Miles' actions go against everything they were taught as well.
But also, I do find it kinda funny that Franziska had enough insight to put a tracker on Gumshoe, but somehow, friendly, no-filter Gumshoe managed to keep the fact that Edgeworth is alive and just chilling somewhere else a secret with Franziska constantly following him around.

"Café Teary Eye" is an incomprehensibly bad joke, which I guess is the point. Makes me wonder what the original joke was in Japanese. And on the other hand, the "bust" jokes are actually funny. Moe's quite the character, alright. Would've been nice if he or Max had brought up the murder note _before_ the trial started, though....

The first time I played this case I read this and though the joke was going to be so much of a stretch from Maya that even Moe would go "wow that's a reach"
There's a small part of me that died when he then confirmed that not only did he think that was a great joke, but it's *the same one he was thinking of.*

I guess it's just supposed to be like "cafeteria", I'm not sure there's really anything more to it.
I think the joke is that Mexican food is supposed to be spicy and spicy food makes you cry and café teary eye sounds like cafeteria. Maybe also the reason it's Mexican pizza specifically is because pizza is served in cafeterias semi-commonly, but I'm not sure about it

my favorite trick for remembering its vs. it's is this:
its is possessive because it matches hers, his, theirs, whose, etc.
and then further, of course--
it's is a contraction, like sungwon said, of 'it is', just like let's, can't, don't, etc. the apostrophe replaces one or more letters.
the only time apostrophes indicate possession is with proper names and nouns, not pronouns. e.g., "that book is andrea's, it's hers."
maybe franziska is so extreme and desperately wants to see edgeworth again not bc of "teaching him the difference between right and wrong" but bc she wuvs him :O
I liked Max but I also liked his friend with the glasses. But more than them I had a big crush on the librarian (especially in the disco outfit and the big hair…oof) and the girl who wears the beret. They’re soooo pretty

Are they going to play all the ace attorney games?
I can reasonably believe they're planning to finish out the trilogy, and a few episodes ago SungWon had the other two try a bunch of different accents and then admitted that was a bit of a test run for The Great Ace Attorney, so those could be expected at some point in the future.
The second trilogy and the investigations games are slightly more questionable. More likely than not, but you never know, y'know?

Maybe it's because there's so many worse characters in this story, but I don't hate Moe. Dislike, but not hate
