Thanks for sharing this video man I was wondering how these came apart on my Kodiak. Same setup. Very helpful video.
the best video I have seen ever. I have rear Virago shocks and could not find anywhere to show what you just did. Thanks so much for sharing. xJes

Wonder if this will be the same for my Kodiak 700.

very informative but you should have made that Headbanger turn the racket down !!!
Whats the part number for the shock forks?
great video thanks!
Thank you!
I know this is an old video. But if anyone sees this, lol, does this work the same as a snowmobile front shock/spring? Trying to switch out my springs on my 06 Polaris Fusion 600, but it looks like the shock doesn’t come apart. That is, until I saw this video
that's awesome. . can get my shocks coated now lol
DILUSI right on brotha!
For the most part...a good video. But WHY do people feel the need to play loud music in the background??
Hopefully,7 years later you have got away from the music...if you can call it that.
I have the same tools its still a pain in the ass

I use my 1/2 brushless impact with the shock clamped upright in a vise. Takes about 30 seconds to get the spring off that way. Much much easier.
South Texas Banshee yep I didn't have a vice haha. I figured a vice would help a lot
