    Two approaches
    1. Story telling
    -literally matching
    -or story in your mind/theme
    -different trends/mood board/pinterest
    2. Effective Exploration
    -pick things that fits your needs (such as feeling safety, grounded, flirty, confident…etc.)
    -make sure outfit fits context/lifestyle

    Thank you very much for your videos and wonderful new system! I'm not entirely sure, but I think I am in the moonstone quadrant, and I am surprised at this... but I find the guidance to have a wonderfully calming effect, very much akin to what wearing moonstones in jewelry does energetically! I'm more dressed up than others around me but that is because I am more inspired by fashion of the past. I definitely value effortlessness... and I do have secret stories behind my outfits- it is often just an imaginary landscape and mood or type of harmonic expression, though, but this usually starts with something less abstract and then gets filtered down into an essence. After looking over the other comments from people who are moonstones, I relate so very much to what everyone is saying! I think that for years, I have unconciously projected "left up" traits on myself, and others have done the same, because my taste is so different than those around me, but it has never been about feeling different or loud or using costumes as armor, instead it has always been far more about cultivating a seamless continuity between what inspires me and what I express. And I really feel like the idea of clothes being supportive is life-changing. The inner harmonic story that we bring to life is like a song that helps put us in the right mood. We might study music and gain inspiration from it, but we filter it through us, learn about the essential elements within a composition through the context of it, and then we ultimately can create our own composition!

    I was so sure I was in the left side until this video. This is exactly what I do. I thought I was crazy/weird for always wanting a theme or story or inspiration image to base my outfits on. Kinda mind blown atm

    I feel so seen it's uncanny! I've been binge watching your videos since I found your video on casual dressing for DCs. The comment about getting stuck on styles and colours is so me! I'm in desperate need of new clothes as I've worn everything to death but I'm so picky about the colour, cut, length and fabric and then I have guilt about buying new things because I want to be minimal and environmental friendly 😂
    Thank you so much for this video I think the storytelling concept will really help me ❤

    I belong far to the Amethyst key world, but apparently I was falling back on some of Moonstone logic 😮 “Dressing like a rose garden”. Now I get why it never worked 😅
    Can’t wait for more videos for Amethyst!

    I find this series so helpful! I am Ruby but this video helped me to understand that I was leaning into Moonstone logic a lot more than I though which is might not be helpful for me. There's so much to explore! Thank you so much, Rita 💜I love seeing your system spreading and your community growing

    I consider my self being a moonstone, and I think I use the storytelling approach. Using black as a foundation and then put on accessoires that speak together..a story for me that day. Example: a green little thing in the hair make me think of nature together with a gentle white scarf. Another day I think of ballet and then I put rose in the hair and a rose scarf ....

    It seems my boyfriend and I have determined that he is Right Down, as he dresses to suit himself, for him satisfaction, but is inspired by the images of the Spartans from the films, or the samurai, or the character from the game Gothic, and creates his own interpretations of their images when inspired! ☺💪🔥

    This is really interesting, because I clicked with so many things you said and acutally approach my outfits from a "storytelling" perspective. I have an outfit that is basically "today I am dressing like a pond fairy" 😂 HOWEVER I still do obsess with fit and color, because I want the pieces to look ON ME like I imagine them. If the color or fit does not suit me, I won't like the outfit. I try to do it the other way around now. I put on an outfit and do a "vibe check" and then go on from there. Just combining pieces is not working for me, they never give off the vibe that I want. I think its because I don't have enough knowledge on color and fit yet to put it together in my head.

      @StyleThoughtsbyRita  Před rokem +4

      Of course, my intention is not to say we shouldn't care about color or fit, sorry if it comes across thst way. I just think it can go too far and I've seen so many people get hung up on how pants are just a centimeter too short or the pink shade is just 5% too light etc - so that's what I am referring to

    I just wanted to write that thanks to these videos, I realized that the concept of "right" is easier for me, but I got confused again, remembering important specific cases when it was not so.🙈🙈🙈I had to delete the old comment 🙈🙈🙈🙈 But thanks to these videos, I can clearly see the difference between right and left.💖
    Now, after that, I think that "left" is closer to me. I think your videos about the keys will help me finally decide.
    I think that the idea of the left due to reflection seemed not close to me, but when I created my favorite images, I unconsciously did "oh, today I'm like this." But when I consciously strive for it, it is more difficult for me. Apparently, I just need to get used to it.

    Thank you Rita, the video is really helpful.
    Sadly i'm in between RD and LD. I took a look time understanding the concepts, but i knew right away my style logic is more down, as my main goal is to feel supported. I relate to R keywords, but my main style need is that I want to dress accordingly to how i want to feel and be perceived by others, which is warm, friendly, delicate and playful and i dont know if this is coming from within me like in the case of L/Ruby or is it only one part of my logic and the other is taking situations into consideration - like how i want to feel going to this event, how i want to feel while performing music, or what do i need for the office to show all those qualities. Im confused :)

    I thought I was right down, but after hearing this, I can really relate to 'issues' but I can't relate at all to the the advice - it doesn't feel like me and the idea of 'storytelling' doesn't mean anything. Does this mean I have it wrong or that I'm just not used to behaving this way?

    • @StyleThoughtsbyRita
      @StyleThoughtsbyRita  Před rokem +1

      What a great question 🌸 if you like the right+down quadrant and it helps you in some way with your style, but you don't like the "style logic", you don't have to use it
      These are just my suggestions for people who want to practice their approach to style bevause they aren't (1) making good style decisions and (2) don't know whether their style decisions are good/bad or how to make better decisions
      So for storytelling, the point is that your outfit needs to have some sort of cohesion which doesn't need to be perfect harmony but a reason the pieces belong together.
      Maybe you don't see yourself as doing "storytelling" because you have your own way of figuring out why things belong together
      But yeah, you could also have a different quadrant/essence, we can't rule that out here either

      @@StyleThoughtsbyRita I appreciate your answer, thank you. I am wondering how I will decide which one it is. I know a major problem for me is not knowing at all what my best 'looks' are. I am good at finding individual pieces, good at colours, but then have no way of bringing it together. I don't have the right details to pull an outfit together. I love winter best as I am good at choosing coats and can hide under them! I will keep exploring.

    • @StyleThoughtsbyRita
      @StyleThoughtsbyRita  Před rokem +1

      @@artyj135... But then it actually sounds like what you're missing is the storytelling? The way to bring an outfit together from just the individual pieces?

    • @artyj135
      @artyj135 Před rokem +1

      @@StyleThoughtsbyRita I guess so, I just never thought of it as that. It's also just not knowing what suits me, other than colours. I think I look ok most of the time, but I'd like to look more than ok!
