    Pretty fabulous reveal so far, Sarah! (as always!!) BUT...that triangle of dead space above the upper kitchen cabinets adjacent to the wall drives me absolutely CRAZY!! (why not simply fill in with a triangular piece of cabinetry front to make it more seamless and custom/upscale looking? My eyes go right to that triangle and wonder, “REALLY, Sarah???”) and I think you should have gone with the 66% -me included 🙋‍♂️-on that entry floor tile pattern.... 🥴 On the other hand, the scones with the gold-tipped bulbs are SO SO CHIC! 🔥 LUVVVVVVV 💯

    • @ytubechannel997
      @ytubechannel997 Před 4 lety +3

      I agree. Trapped space always looks awkward. I would have filled that triangle with the cabinetry slab that was used on the door in the foyer. Another suggestion would be to not place cabinetry on that small section of wall, and instead, install open shelving.

    For a contemporary home, the kitchen has all the right elements! Clean lines, minimal profile cabinets, sleek counters with the waterfall edge, limited counter decor, I do like hidden appliances but for a rental it makes sense to save the budget, but the vent hood has a fantastic profile! The counters and the flooring are my favorites! Both the entry and the kitchen are dramatic transformations! Well done!

    I am ALWAYS happy to see that there’s a brand new Sarah video! I think Sarah’s choices were aesthetically beautiful and creative too!
    I’m not a big fan of the flooring transition between the kitchen and dining area. It looks quite chopped-off to me. Anyone else? I think I would’ve used the same wood flooring throughout the entire upstairs. Using the wood flooring in the kitchen would’ve broken up all of the charcoal/white too.

    Love it!!!! Mind blown from the transformation. Only suggestion paint the hooks in the entry to blend into the wall more (same as the bench)
    Love the hues you used very crisp and chic. Always on point 💯😍 Thanks Sarah Richardson.

    The first time I heard the description “boob lights” was from the inimitable Tommy. And I thought, wow, how did I not see that? Well sad to say that’s the first thing I saw with your pendants turned sconces. 😳 but everything else in that kitchen is amazing. Leave it to you, Sarah to elevate an IKEA kitchen to your standards. I love the sink and faucet and the range hood is spot on. Anything else would have looked out of place. And the view out the kitchen window? Heaven🥰❤️❤️can’t wait to see the rest of the house. Do you have renters duking it out to move in?

      Yes, I remember the boob lights comment. I've never had any since.

      I happen to think Boobs are fantastic (I have a pair), so I also have no problem with "boob" lights. :)
      It's a pity we let someone's derogatory take on lights influence our feelings about lighting and what's good and bad. My two cents. :)

    Thanks for sharing your thought process about using dead space in a kitchen. It has inspired me greatly!
    I have a space just like that, I believe I can now convert it to holding serving wear such as bowls, platters and soup tureens.

    Because this will be a rental, I'm curious as to whether you've incorporated a microwave in the kitchen. It isn't evident in this video and I would think it would be essential for a rental space. Love the simplicity of the foyer and kitchen - so clean and crisp!

    I like the way you use the IKEA. Would you use IKEA in an upper scale project and have custome doors made. Do you think the quality of IKEA is good enough ?
