I could see everyone piling down here at night to catch a movie or play a board game in this pandemic. The kids have a great space to play on rainy days without driving their parents crazy and the whole area looks so inviting that I am not sure anyone coming in from the garage is ever going to make it upstairs. This is a 5 star basement Sarah, I do love it, even if you were only using what was already in place.

Why not both? It's a rental..tastes will be eclectic. Our pool table has a top that swaps out to a full size ping pong table. It appears her custom $$$$ and would be FRUSTRATING for pong players as it is not near the proper size. My mom used hers for holiday seating once the grands were soo many and old enough to police themselves.

Biggest change with basement reno’s for me, is getting all the electrical, plumbing etc sorted, so a finished ceiling can be applied. The quick fix of a drop ceiling, in my opinion, never looks good enough to bring the level of finish up enough, to stop a basement from feeling like a basement. Using the same quality finishes, as you use on the main level, in a basement, is so worth the investment and something a lot of people scrimp on. Then they are left with a room that doesn’t feel great and they tend to not use it. And like you’ve said before, it’s real estate that you’ve already paid for, so use it. Especially in a bungalow, the basements are always huge. Great job, again, by you and the team from SRD.

Sarah, The great thing about this company is that their product line is vast enough that you don’t have to go custom with every install. Their products have made such a huge difference your designs; I certainly have them bookmarked for future use!

@@SarahRichardsonDsgn how wide is the trim? I'm soundproofing as we speak so will try this idea. Will the trim sit flat on bit joints? Thanks Janine.

Just stunning!! Cannot believe it’s a basement. So light and airy, just like the main level. Just love it. Can you share the manufacturer info on the floors and the sofa? I’m in love 😍. Thanks💜
