There is nothing in this room that I don’t love!!!!! The natural light streaming in from the windows and the patio doors makes the room feel large and spacious. I adore polka dots and applaud you for using them in the unique and imaginative application. I love the color of the gold dots and the brass elements. The best thing in the room is the sheep skin draped over the headboard. I agree with you about the wonderful and subtle effect that can be achieved when using white and ivory colors in a design scheme - it’s so elegant and tranquil.

I'm so very glad to see that the headboard extends past the windows! We were recently faced with the same problem and we love our king sized bed. We are making a custom headboard that includes a full sized headboard that my parents bought as newlyweds, in 1959! Behind it, I'm draping the entire wall with Ikea milk chocolate brown, cotton velvet curtains, that a client decided against about 5 years ago. I've had then tucked away, like your brass lamps. They will span the wall (15 1/2') Love your work and can't wait for the next reveal!

The polka dots are an interesting element. I don’t necessarily love it or hate it. For one I understand that from the beginning this is a rental property so I feel because it’s the home away from home it adds whimsy and reminds you that you’re not here to stay only enjoy. So for me it’s a win. I wouldn’t necessarily (though definitely may change my mind later) put it in my forever home but for a getaway home definitely a big win. Sarah I’ve watched you since Room service that’s the show that had me hooked ever since. You always seemed to have the perfect formula or not everything old should be thrown and not everything new can or should be expensive. You’ve taught me that there’s a time and place to splurge and invest but also a time to hunt for a good bargain. Forever grateful for finding you and room service all those years ago. Cannot wait for what’s next.

Looks great and calm. Love the scale of the polka dot. Now everyone will be losing there minds, that you took away the walk-in. Can’t please them all. I like that it keeps things scaled back and as you said, there is storage in the basement for off season items. Well done SRD!
