Tip from a professional painter, ANY time you are using a roller to paint large flat surfaces, buy a simple wooden extension pole that screws into the end of the roller handle. A 4 foot one for sure, but also a 6 foot one for overhead surfaces. It may seem awkward at first, but be patient. The use of the leverage it gives you makes the painting go much faster and there is less fatigue on your arms and body. You can cover and fill in uneven surfaces, crevices and butt joints easier with the added leverage of the pole extension.

5* chicken coop, lovely to see people go the extra mile in the care of their animals!
Also little tip, you can use artificial grass on the perches to create gentle and uneaven surfaces on the chickens feet. It can help prevent bumble foot especially when the weather gets cold and damp again and their perched in the same position with constant pressure on certain areas of their feet for longer periods of time. :)

Your bees are looking great!!!! 🐝🐝🐝🐝. My brother and grandfather raised bees. My grandfather raised bees,so he showed my brother and he put in a queen excluder in above the brood so she couldn't lay eggs above so they never had to bother the brood to harvest the honey. My brother used it for his FFA Project ( Future Farmers of America ). Maybe next time you feed your chickens the sprouts you could broadcast them so they forage and not bunch up so much. Keep up the good work. Really enjoy the scenery and commerodrie. ❤👍🐓🐔📹☺️

Hubby is always the "tester". We bought an energiser second hand which plugs into the mains power. It's the bomb. Gives a really decent jolt. Something we learnt from a farmer. If you get a blade of grass and wet it (usually lick it), then touch the blade of grass as far away from the fence as you can, then slowly get closer until you feel the jolt through the grass. Much less painful with our mains powered energiser.

The minty green and lino reminds me of a 1960s house here in Australia. They were workers houses and used panels inside that you could see the joins even when the house is finished. Very nostalgic ❤

Alaska some years ago thank you both, your work ethic reminds me of my wife and myself fifty years ago from the big city of Birmingham to a rural part of Shropshire three children, nothing so extreme as Alaska with but we made it in the end we made a beautiful life for our family, married for sixty years three children fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren very productive ha ha . Wishing you both all the luck in the world.

For sprouting large quantities of grain take two 5 gallon buckets and drill as many 1/8" holes as you can stand in one of them, especially in the bottom. Place the holy bucket, in the unholy bucket and soak your grain. Then you can easily drain and replace the water as needed.

A friend, with a sustainable situation, raised. a few pigs. He built a 10'X15' wood pen on skids. He had to completely build his garden soil, because the
land was sand and gravel. The land had been loged and left with 12" and, less, douglas fir, vine maple and alder. Being in western Washington, there was
lots of brush and "weeds" growing each year. The pigs would root out existing roots etc and leave the soil enriching poop. The pen was moved to fresh
locations as the area was rooted out.

Once again, you knocked it out of the park with a building project. Well researched, executed and explained ... along with the video of some very happy and beautiful chickens. Bless you for taking such good care of them!
It is a Castle and a Palace!!!
Can't wait to see you move it. That will be fun!
PS. Back pain from your recent endeavors. Consider back strengthening exercises during the long Winter months. Wear some back braces. Once the pain sets in, consider ibufrofen and tylenol. Alternate and start with presciption dosage (up to about 800 mg). Consult with a doctor to get best recommendations.
    Love, love you guys!!!
