Planting our Vegetable Garden in Alaska | Potatoes, Cabbage & More
We're thrilled to be growing our own food again and just in time for the summer weather. We plant potatoes, cabbage, onions, greens and celery transplants. There's still so much more building and planting to be done but for now we relax with a fireweed shoot and caribou steak dinner.
We appreciate you tagging along for our Alaskan adventure 😀

I use distilled water with my eggs and will do a maximum of two gallons at a time. I don't want to do any more than that at a time due to weight and lifting. I only use unwashed, unsoiled eggs which show no signs of having a crack or damage to shell. Before I crack an egg to cook them I always rinse then under cold water. I always crack my eggs one at a time in a small bowl. That way if I have a spoiled egg I don't ruin any good ones in the same bowl. Thank you for your video's they have taught me so much.

I don't know why you didn't paint the gate before installation, it just seems like the logical thing to do if you don't want to overspray on the post like you did. Don't get me wrong, the build and welding is good, but the execution is lacking a bit. Build, paint, then install/weld.

Oooh 8" all fuel pipe. Big $$$. You guys using the Selkirk brand again? (I remember seeing the boxes in another video). Looks like the roof support is the "roof guy kit" I am an HVAC sales woman and its always awesome to see the trade in all aspects of life. I do have a suggestion though. Please keep record of what brand venting you are using. Most brands do not interchange with each other. And it can be hard trying to match it up based off looks/ conmection type. Also, lol, Whoever sold you the set up messed up not adding the stove pipe adapter to the install quote. Gotta get from double wall to single wall some how! Goofy mistake from a sales point! Oh they make wall brackets too, if the pipe on the side if the house needs securing. I think its every 3 ft after the T you need one. Not sure if applicable here.

Okay, real advice for fence pulling. Observations of your process from a lifelong farmer: 1) Change to a homemade clamp for pulling your fence tight...two 2X4s longer than the height of your wire...drill holes for carriage bolts to go through both boards (we use 4 bolts for 5' woven wire fence, so you'll need about 8 bolts. The 2X4s sandwich the woven wire fence and we attach chain (not nylon straps - not safe) to the sandwiched 2X4s with barbless stranded wire. We only use the tractor as our anchor point and use a come-along to pull the fence tight. Lastly, we never (never) pull around a corner post...always terminate your woven wire on the end post and then start with your next straight pull by starting your next piece of woven wire by doing the connection exactly as you did on the first pull. Good luck. Always rooting for you guys. Love your channel's content. 👍😊
