I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND how Ariel feels about heights😢😢😢
The extra overhang width on the low edge of the roof was intentional. That helped the snow fall further away from the structure to help reduce snow load against the wall.
Bandit looked so happy on his bed outside. The bees enjoyed the warmer weather too. Fiberglass insulation, everyone is so glad when they are done!
Yes, insulation is the worst to install, but a good thing ☀️

I was expecting a vlog so I made sure dinner and dishes were done and dusted. Emptied the dryer, put away laundry. Now to enjoy the adventure of Beau’s and Bandits parents.

So glad that you are taking the time to not only make the chickens safe but dry. So many people make improvements but never think of investing time in the top of a structure. If you have a solid roof then all the hard work below will last a long time.

We're going to have to start calling you two the Dynamic Duo! There isn't much that you haven't done or that you won't attempt. And you are a true team, you help each other so much to get the job done. You two are the epitome of a marriage, a couple that works together to attain their goal. Our hats off to Ariel, even though she has a fear of heights she was still on the roof working to get the job done. Didn't know this before and thought back to all the work you two did on the siding on the other cabin. Wow, girl. Also want to say how much we respect you both for wearing PPE while doing all the work, our hearing and eyesight help protect us so much, more than most think.

That's what I was going to ask! The chicken condo is built better and more comfy than the old farmhouse we live in! I will bring my own bed, blankets and pillow! I don't think the chickens will mind a couple new roommates! 🐓😴🐔😴
You still have Bees, and snow! The Chickens look like they are doing well. They should appreciate the upgrade. The roof is a little longer on the backside of the downslope to help keep the falling snow away from the building. You'll find with a metal roof the snow will curl around and come back towards the building. My tip of the day :)
