you can actually do the Bulgarian split squats by instead of using a workout bench, use a step-up or something stable and 6" off the ground. i got this tip from JPG Coaching. also legs not stacked over one another and make sure they are shoulder width apart.
I had this issue and have tackled it by sitting in a deep squat position for a few minutes each day when waiting for the kettle to boil, watched TV.. Just anywhere. It will also help mobilise your hips too
The variation to third cable pull through exercise can be done on back extension machine with weight by bending upper body downwards and rising above just in straight line with glutes.
Make sure that you’re far enough and when you drive up that your knees don’t come in or out. Keep it centered. Start with only body weight and once you’re strong and have the movement right add weights.
I have pain in my left flank of my lower back that goes into my left buttock probably stemming from the sciatic nerve. I also have a fractured coxyx/sacrum from 2014. Would these exercises help with reducing the pain?

Another way to target glute med is to place the resistance LOOP (a ‘band’ is the rubber tubing with handles on the ends) around the knees and do ‘fire hydrants.’
Squeezing is useless (it has been proven scientifically tons of times), these weird exercices are just a way of attracting attention because you can do squats/ squats with a bar or a leg press and they're just as efficient. Stop these stupid exotic exercises, with the leaning forward, it's completely useless....

You can do the 3rd one at home too. Just buy bands and the strap to hold to the door. Put at the bottom of the door and there you go.

most your weight should be focused on the outside of your foot. especially if the knee pain is on the inside of your knee
