    I’ve heard coming up straight on a lunge is for your quads but bent down is for your glutes

    split squats are going to give better results than a reverse lunge.

      Not necessarily. The standard split squat can be quite a quad dominant exercise.

      Definitely not. I don't do reverse lunges but weighted walking lunges instead and it's changing very quickly. Before that I loved doing bulgarian split squats and didn't see the changes I have now. Now I hate doing them

    I love this video because she uses the cable machine. And a lot of people are not aware of how handy that cable machine is to grow muscle.

      Resistance bands and dumbbells/barbells you can order online. I’ve read ankle weights are not good (I considered them too)

      You could try heavy resistance bands or tubes instead of the cable machine. Attach them to heavy furniture legs or a door.
