- I've had this gimbal for about 2 months now, and I have to say I am a little disappointed. The motors are fantastic but it is a shame some of the limited capabilities. TechTok, great video on this product, 1st time viewer here... thank you for the review! My only suggestion would be to discuss the product's portability, setup/assembly time, balancing effort, and maybe revealing the start to finish setup time. My chief complaint with gimbals is the time it takes to get one out of the bag and ready to shoot. Thinks wedding scenarios... these events are fast paced and demanding... gear has to come out of the bag ready to go... no second chances... Also, not sure if you discussed gimbal weight or total weight with payloads... just for reference ....

Great video! I really like that your review came after you had some time with the gimbal. I have the sony a6600 and bought this gimbal mid December so I have to decide by tomorrow to return it or not. I like it for the apsc line and it works for the two lenses I would want to use with it: Sigma 30mm (for lower light conditions), and the Sigma 18-50mm for daytime.
It’s great gimbal for small cameras. But there is another in the pipeline from what I heard. Should have my hands on it fairly soon to test it out.
Would there be any issues using a A6400 with a 16-70mm?

Hi I currently have a Ronin RSC2 and film skate videos with a Sony A7iii and 24mm 1.4. Would this be compostable to use? My ronin seems so complicated and not as responsive as I would like it to be in skate scene scenarios. I need it to shoot in portrait mode as well. Wondering if I just need more training and stick with ronin or get something more compact. Love to hear your suggestions.

Yeah this is super interesting strictly because of the built in light-i’m thinking *maybe* it’s practical for reception footage, with an (newer) iphone …..but i can’t justify paying $300 for a phone gimbal
would this work with a canon 70D camera with Sigma 10-22 mm lens. I am in real estate and trying to find a gimbal that will work with that camera and lens. Your help is appreciated.

I use rs2 with mine but it’s overkill. Thinking between this and the rsc2. I own the rsc but really looking for something really small for on the go. Happy to take the rs2 for my bigger shoots

@@Meathed.fitnessmedia after few months of used I am not 100 percent satisfied but its small and easy to handle. I saw the gimbal sometime lost the balance even configured well. So before you buy just take some time. I use now less of this gimbal rather use sony GP-VPT2BT

just released a review on the new m2s , would fit your camera also. but if you looking to upgrade to mirrorless i would go for weebill 2 , otherwise save some money and try out the m2s

I think the m3 would be good enough for that setup if aren't looking to upgrade to a larger camera anytime soon. also check ebay. probably cheaper second options too
I think this is a good replacement for crane v2. I hate the crane 2s , its so heavy.
So there is another similar sized gimbal with a better payload than this coming out soon? What I like about my crane M2 is the size. I just wished it had a better payload for smaller cameras. The m3 seems like is pretty capable for its size. Anything bigger won’t give the portability I need. Any idea when you will show this new gimbal?

No way....18 35 needs a full sized gimbal. That setup is too front heavy.

hi. can you connect the M3 to a7S3 to have a bluetooth record control?
I don’t think the bluetooth is standard on the m3. They sell a expensive base and a usb-c expansion bluetooth module that you can get apparently only on Aliexpress. But still you will have to activate pc remote and will loose face detection if i understood. Dji offer bluetooth in the RS 3 but the functions are limited to start/stop. To control the other functions of cameras you need to connect the cable. M3 is not compatible with a7c for exemple but you can use a bluetooth remote to do start/stop without activating pc remote. M3 is compatible with m3 via the port multi i think, but no bluetooth towards the camera.

Can the M3 be stowed and locked while loaded with a camera, as with the RSC2? Not a fan of rebalancing every time I want to play.

I'm currently using the Zhiyun Smooth 4 with my Samsung S20 smartphone. Unfortunately the motor is not strong enough to withstand the wind while I'm following a skier and the Gimbal drops and does not recover. Do you think the Crane M3 will solve this problem. I could be following a skier at upwards of 50km/h?
The motor is stronger than Smooth 4 and I saw then use it on skateboard.

I wonder if l do need one of this or l should just use my cell or my Camara. I need to ask you something because I wish you can talk about if l can do live streams with this or not??? Honestly l only know my cellular and cannon to make my videos but l want to do more live streams because my videos require a lot of editing and l want to safe time and effort although l have a lot of fun when a edit them. Please l am teaching myself and my editing is only basic but to be honest l am very proud of me. Thank you for answering.
im not quite sure what you are asking, you want to live stream ? I don't need a gimbal to live stream or are you referring to those outside streamers who go around places to showcase the environment and need a gimbal to stabilize your shots so its smooth while live streaming?

Yes 1 outside to add more interest to my videos that l create inside, 2 to do some live stream outside too, 3 do some recording outside and then add them while l stream live from home is it possible. I will like to get better with the recording SPECIALLY when it cames to much movement on the video because my hands get tire.
@@ylezama-artes1919 well a gimbal defintely improves yours video qaulity if you are shooting outside. especially if you are walking and streaming alot , i wouldnt recommend investing in a gimbal for sure

I would say so. much lighter and smaller, but I do find certain heavy moves still works better on the crane 2
I have the Sony zv1 ....The stabilisation on my camera is terrible will this gimbal help me
I think zv1 have active stabilization right. but I would turn that off if you do decide to use a gimbal

Would you say the Weebill 2 is a better gimbal for slightly larger mirrorless cameras. I prefer its design because it has replaceable batteries.
definitely stick with the weebill if you are going for larger mirrorless

@@markshirley01 the only cons is the locks that can slide inside ( so people think it is broken). You can repair yourself two of the three axis easily but the pan acis i don’t see how i don’t see a panel that can be open. I know the two other can be self repaired. (It is only to move them back correctly) weebill S is good except for these locks. Don’t move the camera with the lock on. This is when they break. Remove your camera, set the locks and move the camera back on the gimbal when you need it. If you don’t do that, the locks will break.

i think this is a good setup , but i would hold off and wait for whats coming.
The view finder is an issue for Mark 1 m50. I had to cut them off.
Thanks for this. I'm leaning toward this gimbal but worried about the restrictions for camera and lens size. I have a Sony A6600 with a cage and would use the Sony 18-105 frequently. this gimble doesn't work with a7c using the cable. Which is sad.
Feels like the size of the a7c suits perfect to the M3, yet not compatible.
Upcoming updates therefore sure you can use the other features of it. Till then you need to wait as they said Sony a7c supported so let's wait
I was looking at the M3 for my Olympus OMD EM1 M2 but was disappointed to hear the M3 is geared for Sony and not my Olympus.. :( back to my search.. I wonder if the next one would be compatible...
just released another gimbal today, but unfortunately Olympus is very limited. best to check their website though

So I was thinking on getting the DJI RSC 2 gimbal, but after watching this video and you testing this with the Sony A7III (I have the AC7) with Tamron 17-28mm lens (LOL! It's not make for mirrorless, worng , you can called it , It's not make for full frame or full frame mirrorless camera. This gimbal is best for mirrorless Apsc cameras , don't forget that !

On this video looks beautiful, but the reality is different, because i bought it 3 days ago in germany, tempted by those reviewers, and it has pan axis motor failed right out of the box. Be aware guy when you buy this gimble because most of them are defective. test them in the shop with your camera. I tried it with sony zv e10 and sony 35mm 1.8 apc lens.
