You are a quiet professional. 2) Saying that you are the one that killed Bin Ladin is basically putting a huge bullseye on your back & he had plenty of followers who'd love to behead the man that killed their leader; thus putting those around O'Niel in "jeopardy".

    @tanyastewart7019 Před 5 lety +4

    I just stumbled across your channel and Vigilance Elite a few hours ago thanks to a night of insomnia and it’s been THE BEST sleepless nights I’ve ever had!
    All of you guys are sooo inspirational in the experiences you have endured and historic events that you were part of but also your personalities and joy you exhibit in each appearance, even when recalling the lowest moments that were part of your personal history. You are examples that healing can happen after surviving even the most horrific events that can happen to a person!
    People who suffer trauma of various levels can suffer from PTSD and the road to recovery is slow and difficult for each one of them regardless of how extreme their experience was if listed on a comparative scale of intensity. You each are proof and role models that are standing proof that IT IS POSSIBLE to move on if you stay committed to moving toward light and life! As a survivor of PTSD I thank all of you for being visible and vocal about the battles you fought that might’ve created this condition but also the battle to conquer it!
    The greatest things you all will do in your lives isn’t the tremendous and internationally historic things you accomplished in your military careers but rather how you used those experiences to help people on a personal level in a way that can forever alter their lives and the lives of their loved ones! Not to mention that you always give us a moment to laugh!
    I’m a little older than you guys and never served in the military but I have family members who have. My uncle was a POW in Vietnam who suffered with severe PTSD for the rest of his life. My nephew was in the Army and did 2 tours in Iraq and 1 in Afghanistan when he received his third injury and the one that would end his military career. He has been out for 10-12 years now and still battles PTSD although he has improved tremendously thanks to the help and understanding that is available now, benefits that weren’t available to my uncle. So I don’t personally know about military life but I am extremely familiar with PTSD and the long term effects of trauma and I have greater hope for our future generations of military personnel who will fight when called and face similar battles of recovery when it’s over because gentlemen like you have shown them that progress is possible, healing to a great degree is REAL and finding joy, purpose and a different way of life will take some work just like becoming a successful soldier, pilot, Marine, etc. required but they might find a happiness and peace greater than they have known before at the end of that path. And a different life than what they envisioned doesn’t necessarily mean that it can’t be just as good or better than the one they anticipated!
    I am a fan and will be catching up on the rest of your videos that I couldn’t cover last night. One night just isn’t enough! 😁 Best wishes for continued health, happiness and success to you all! 🙏🏻❤️

    I wanted to be a Navy SEAL since I was 8 years old... I trained HARDCORE for 6 years (2 in middle school and 4 in high school). After I started high school, I talked to a Navy recruiter and told them what I wanted to be. They got me in contact with a former SEAL who trained people to get them ready for the Navy's Special Warfare type jobs (SEAL, SWCC, EOD, Etc.) My entire high school "career" was training with this guy, just to me ready. People who trained with him pretty much had a 100% success rate of joining whatever job they wanted. (nobody had failed training if they worked with him). While other kids were partying, I was running miles with a 50-pound rucksack on, swimming miles in the ocean, getting "wet and sandy"... during physical training. After I joined the Navy, I passed the SEAL PST with flying colors and I was on my way to becoming a SEAL... 5 months in, I started having seizures and I was kicked out.... My dreams were CRUSHED. That was (and still is) the only thing I wanted to do in life. Almost 8 years later, I'm still severely depressed from it... Maybe in another lifetime :/

    • @HeroKeepOnMarchingOn
      @HeroKeepOnMarchingOn Před 5 lety

      I don't know how old are you but join up again. Just because you got kicked out doesn't mean you quit. What cause your seizures ? You probably got brain sick because of the training you did. That seizure was probably a 1 time thing.

    • @chrism6904
      @chrism6904 Před 5 lety +1

      @@HeroKeepOnMarchingOn I wish it was just a 1 time thing. My seizures are controlled 99.9% of the time, but I probably have had 3 in the 8 years that I started having them (after I started taking the medicine). But that was mainly because I was taking other medicine that interacted with it... (it decreased the medicine levels in the blood stream). If I were able to take my medicine, I'd be perfectly fine. Unfortunately they don't allow that though. Even with waivers. :/

    Just watched your 100th podcast. Was deeply moved. All I can say is Thank You All. You have given me renewed Hope in America. So proud to be living in this Great Country knowing we still have Patriots ready, willing & able to lay their lives down for the Freedoms we treasure. God Bless You All.

    I come back to this video when I'm feeling down. I have no affiliation with any branch of service. I come here first of all because you guys are so funny, I can't get through it without hitting pause at least 10 times. Here are these guys, even the ones behind the scenes, that stood up for ordinary people like me. They all have a story and went through their own hell, yet here they are laughing their asses off. If they can find a way to laugh.....so can I. You guys don't just help service men and women.....you also help us civilians how are going through our own hell. I am so grateful to each and every person who stood up, signed their name and fought to protect our rights! Love you guys. God bless and stay safe!

    NEVER QUIT..... I just watched Marcus movie Lone Survivor..... It inspired me to remember that mind set... 3 time cancer survior.... 2 DV marriages... Child ABUSE investigator.... Chronic fatigue syndrome... Both feet are being operated on... Chronic pain and nerve damage... Like a 2nd degree burn that never stopped in my entire body for 15 years... Worked for police dept... I've seen it.... People killed in front of me... People trying to kill me... Death threats... Corona Virus left me living in my car.... But just listening to everyone from Mat Best to Marcus and everyone inbetween... All connected... Your stories are keeping me tough... Keeping me fighting... Just when you think you are at the brink... Your pulled from the edge... God... And sometimes it just pissing you off so much you won't quit... When I hear it will never happen I will prove them wrong.... Thank you for reminding me I'M NOT A QUITTER
