My never quit story ..😕 Took care of my mom after she had a stroke for 3+ years cause she didn't want to go to a nursing home 😢😟😞 sacrificed all... for time well spent with my mom 💯
Never quit short story: Dad had a brain tumor when I was 10 - went to a nursing home. My Mom killed herself when I was 11. Dad died 6 months later. I'm 48 now with a 15 yr old daughter. Served in the Old Guard from 1997 - 2000. Much respect!

My wife is a 2X breast cancer survivor that had 10 major surgeries in 14 months. She had a double mastectomy after being diagnosed the 2nd time and had every complication you can think of. Radiation burns that killed all the skin on one side which resulted in removing a large section of skin from her back to replace the dead tissue. Cancer, Chemotherapy, Radiation Therapy, and not once did she complain!!! When I say she had 10 major surgeries I mean those were the surgeries that were 4+ hours. A few of the surgeries were 8+. She is my hero and is who I think of when I think Never Quit!!!
3 weeks later I imagine Marcus calling up Rut and going "BOONDOCK SAINTS MAN HOW DID WE FORGET"
Rut's trying to get through the intro. Luttrell is like, "Predator!"...."Heat!"..."Scarface!" LOL

Never quit story: was mentally beat down by my dad my whole life. Saw him repetitively beat and verbally abuse my mother. Was always told I wouldn't be crap. I now own two businesses, working on my 3rd which is going to be an indoor trampoline park! Never give up.
Shawn.. Does seal/CIA make you a badass? Yes! But helping your brothers after your out and what you did and have done, that makes you a HERO!!! Thank you!

Never quit story (recently)
My TNQ story.....raising two Son's alone because both of their Mother's died. I took care of them both as they passed. I'm still raising one of them, he is 14. I'm still learning alot about life as a 55 year old single Dad. Never quit!
Never quit story : battled a heroin addiction for nearly the entirety of my adult life (im 27 now). Well it took a few near death experiences to light a fire under me. Long story short I have over 30 days of clean time now and I feel fuckin great. Never quit guys. No matter what happens.
It’s humbling knowing that the people who have completed the hardest military training in the world have their own demons. Thanks for sharing Shawn. Much respect ✊

I am still alive after being told I have four days to live. Three years ago. Diet, exercise, mind-work, pain management, grew up around some no-quitters. The only easy day was yesterday. Right now was easier than fifteen minutes ago. One evolution at a time. And I never missed a fucking day of work that wasn't on doctor's orders. I have a son. We shoot, scoot, and communicate--literally. We've been on range and tactical training for months now. Two years ago, I had to lean against the wall and slide myself to my desk. Every time I go in for my checkup, they tell me I am going to die, but I keep going to my check-ups. Fuck'em.
Although his hood slide is the manifestation of a full bodied facepalm, Rut is the guy you want as a CO when shit’s gone so far South you’re neck deep in used hand grenades, spent brass, and down to your last mag. His enthusiasm, and positivity are damn motivating. Props to all of you, and thank you all for your service. Keep up the great work.
