I think most people against FFS are people that haven't experienced it. In the beginning I wasn't exactly for it but I wasn't completely against it either. I knew I had zero experience with it so I couldn't make a legit decision. I ended up playing with it on someone else's boat. Then decided I wanted to give it a try on my kayak best up. So I bought it when it was on sale. It is pretty awesome. You absolutely don't care catch every you see! I see way more fish that won't bite than I find that will bite! I actually use it in perspective mode most of the time & keep it facing forward or the detection I'm fishing & use it to find cover. Fish with it like a live 360. I don't fish tournaments but I'm in the kayak every week all year. My 2 big home lakes are Lake Murray & Clark's Hill
Man this kid is super intelligent and very articulate but are we talking about catching bass or building rockets? I heard more talk about tech than I did fish

No one ever talks about the main issue with FFS which is that its just lame and gay to use it. Imagine catching a new PB and having to call your buddy and tell him the story of how you found the fish with your underwater camera and then followed it around for 30 mins and harassed it with a 3" minnow until it finally bit...ewww...gross....
