      Thank you! Did you run it this year? I'm thinking I'll sign up again next year. As mentioned in the video, I ran it last year and had a blast! Here's my race video from last year if you haven't seen it already... And thanks for the follow on Instagram! czcams.com/video/6BaVL7EL-7E/video.html

    I love this, moderate to long runs on beautiful trails - subscribed for more videos like this. Your hill speed is very impressive and is what I'm working towards after starting running again about six months ago after a multi-year layoff. I have about 5-6 minute per mile to take off to get there - it's going to be a while :)

    I love the runventure vids! And it's always fun trying to figure out which trail you're on from my own recollections. Didn't realize North Fork was so close! You're gonna kill it! I'm just about to start my training in earnest for Devil on the Divide. Would love to hit the trails with you again once summer arrives.

      I'm excited for your Devil on the Divide race! We can definitely link up for a run or two, especially with school wrapping up for the kiddos.

    Do you have a video talking about your train up for a 50 miler and milage covered per week and how long is the training period? Thanks in advance, great video beautiful trails…🤙🏽

    • @SeeChadRun
      @SeeChadRun  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Thank you so much! I don't have a video talking specifically about my training leading up to the race. Pretty much all winter, I've been maintaining 40 to 50 mile weeks (with the occasional 25-35 mile down week) with 2500-5000 feet vertIcal gain per week too. Now that my kids school is wrapping up and the sun is coming up earlier, I'm starting to get a few more miles in each week (50-65 miles) with more of the runs during the week also being on trails. One thing that I try to be very religious about is my Saturday long run. I've been very consistent at getting a 18 to 20 mile long run in each week which has helped maintain some good fitness. Hope that helps, but let me know if you have any specific questions that I can answer.

      @@SeeChadRun Thanks for the response, that was very informative and helpful. Currently on my build up for a race in October 41 Miler with a bigger race in December 53 Miler, I have time just trying to gage distance and vert for the next 26 weeks of training. Each race has a elevation gain on average of 11,000ft, so looks like your template of weekly mileage and vert per week is a great way to train for the next 26 weeks, with a 3 week on and 1 week de-load less milage as you mentioned. Thanks again, hope you have a great week and even better weekend. Cheers

    liked this video and glad to hear that I use my nutricion almost the same way. What I was wondering, at what pace will you normaly race your 50k in min/km? I would like to train towards the 30 or 35k but I'm not so fast, so I need to go slower to be able to consume the extra kilometers (now able to run 25K and aprox 500m elevation)

    • @SeeChadRun
      @SeeChadRun  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Pace is an interesting question, particularly because all of the 50k's that I've run have varying terrain and elevation gain (with a finish time ranging from 5 hours to 8 hours). One thing that has helped me is to consistently run, about once a week, a long run of about 18 to 20 miles. That not only builds endurance but also gives you a good sense of how things feel on a longer run. For the 50k, I simply run off of feel, which in a race is slightly harder than the long run during training. Hope that helps, but feel free to ask any follow-up questions.

    • @gametuber9017
      @gametuber9017 Před 3 měsíci

      @@SeeChadRun I understand the varying terrain and elevation. Is it a matter of finding the right pace that can last a long time monitoring hart rate? Most of the time I try to check hart rate, I try to keep an eye on breathing and try to pace myself but haven't found a solid strategy jet. Just try some things out? Or learn to run slow first so you can build things up?

    • @SeeChadRun
      @SeeChadRun  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Honestly, it sounds like you're on the right track. Heart rate, breathing, and general feeling are all decent indicators though I tend to go off of how I feel as the primary indicator the more experience I gain.
