Theo and Bee gave up their busy city lifestyles in 2014 to explore alternative living, and have lived in vans and boats since then without looking back! Along with their cat Ginjey Bear they have been driving around the world in their self converted Sprinter van. However, when the global pandemic hit they began converting their abandoned stone barn in Central Portugal to turn into a wonderful tiny stone cottage. Along the way, they have rescued a playful cat called Furrnando and have a wonderful flock of Chickens!

For the ants and other creepy crawlers, look into " food grade diatomaceous earth ". I was getting ants in the house so I sprinkled it in doorways and window sills (it's an old house). Problem solved. I dusted the cat with it when a squirrel got in and left some fleas behind. I did the carpets too.
Moth balls
It is so wonderful to see the trees that were badly burned coming back to life with a vengeance! It’s also a great message for all of us. When tragedy strikes, you will come back from it and with a vengeance if you give it time .
Something we on Maui need right now, hope….

Watching Bea move about feeding and loving all the animals brings me so much joy. ❤️🙏
I think you will love having your garden beds close to your kitchen. Also as you relax on your patio you can admire your garden!
Not a mistake...change in plans.
Sign of discerning geniuses. ♡
I know!!!...when I first saw the headline i thought they meant living there was a mistake.......whew.....only the veggie garden.........
That thumbnail is hilarious..lol....wonderful location for the garden..once it's flourishing it will make a beautiful addition to the house and so convenient to harvest so close to the kitchen! Great decision as always....lovely to see Bee so content, gardening truly is good for the soul..😊👍🇬🇧
Bea you look wonderful. Love seeing your smile!!!! Theo is looking happy and in his element. Very glad to see.
I absolutely love where you placed the garden! What a great idea. It is so nice to see Bee smiling and happy. Thanks for sharing ❤❤
That shelf by the front door is so cute Bea‼️That area is perfect for the beds‼️👍😊Your patience and love for all your animals is so wonderful- you 2 are just the BEST‼️
I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to see you both thriving and doing what you love! Farmer Theo on his tractor, Farmer Bee stomping around in the dirt… all great things! 🤗♥️
The thumbnail on this video was too funny. :)
LOVE the new garden spot!
Us too!
I love the fact Theo is naked in the thumbnail with a plant pot keeping him modest. You guys are a hoot 😁
I love your sweetness with the animals, B. ❤
Giant heart shaped leaves looks like a Catalpa tree to me. I have a Catalpa tree in my yard. In late Spring it blooms abundantly with white/purple center orchid looking flowers.
Love your hair!!!! Looks like his back is improving. How wonderful. I'm a bit envious of your raised bed. Happy for you!!!
Blessings from Pueblo Colorado
Bea your gardens will be beautiful and another place of peace on your property.
I am happy that you listened and moved the garden beds
Hi Bee and Theo,Lovely to see you both immersed in the beauty of the place. The animals ,the flowers, the trees all around really call for the name Miracle ...
Wow that looks amazing your garden. Bee you light up like a light bulb around your garden. Made me smile big. Can not wait to watch your garden grow so exciting. Miracle mountain is truly a miracle. Love from Texas
Bee glad you are going to garden again. Oh btw: your hair is gorgeous.
Aaaaaaah Bee and Theo- you did a great job and it’s wonderful to see Bee getting to enjoy starting the new garden! 😊
Gardenistas unite! Nothing makes us happy likr gardening
Love seeing you guys working around yourMiracle Mountain
Are you thinking about eventually renovating the stone house ruin? It would be a good place to either house volunteers or guests or even a farm hand to help out with your homestead, I know it will be a bit before you all can get to it but it is worth considering I would think.
The look on Bee’s face answers my question about how she is feeling. There is nothing like being needed by one’s animals to help us feel good about ourselves. Gardening is my therapy.. I agree that a good non toxic solution for ants is diatomaceous earth. Epic!
You two are such wonderful stewards of the land.
hi Theo, I suggest getting Stihl Chaps. I was a salesman for Stihl. I remember a father brought his Stihl in because it wouldn't start. Found out his son had used it and hit his leg, and never told his dad. The Kevlar threads get pulled into the saw from the chain stopping it. Saving his leg.
There's nothing quite like getting your hands in some soil. Gardening nourishes the soul. So happy to see new life blooming everywhere.
The motorcycle growing in the porch is quite impressive too.😉
It’s been a labour of love getting that to sprout 🤣
You’ve obviously got the touch.👌🏻😂
You have such a beautiful, perfect place. I'm so happy for you.
Thank you so much!
Oh, Bea, you look so happy. Have fun, grow lots.
Those raised beds are brilliant and what a perfect spot to place them. Everyone dreams of walking out of their front door and picking fresh organic produce!
Amazing spot for the beds excited to the plants go in. ❤
Hearing the smiles in your voices, heartwarming!
You got the right idea, Bee, just get stuck in it and get the soil everywhere! Nothing better than gardening, in my opinion, to feel good. you guys are doing wonderful job! And finally little Skye is eating from your hand as well! Progress on all fronts!
It is so much fun wstching you feed the animals. I think thst is a perfect place for your garden. Its really close to the house. Perfect!
So great to see you getting your raised beds ready!
Bea, you are just shining so brightly today! The color of your hair is amazing, and is complimented by your leopard outfit! Always look forward to each video. From Connecticut, 86 yr old.
Great video. The gardens will be great.
Oh wow!! I think that mixture will give you much better results than just in the dirt. It's going to be fabulous and your journeys to better health will absolutely get a boost!I loved your van life videos a great deal but this amazing place brings content equally terrific. Have a wonderful week.
So excited to see the raised beds down and ready for growing all the wonderful veggies. 😊

So excited to see you guys are planning your garden is going to be beautiful and beneficial ❤
At first I just thought it was going to be ugly in that location but at the end I see that it has perfect lighting for a garden area. It is sunny in morning but by afternoon it gets some shade. Perfect.
Wonderful start to your new gardening journey~! I love watching the gardens, vegetables & flowers grow into a bountiful harvest! How Exciting💚💗💛

It is so wonderful to see your 2 smiling faces.............your care for the land, and your care for the animals ........and your care for each other is so heart warming...........................putting bare feet on the earth changes the vibration of the body......it is very very healing............so jump in there Bee, cover yourself in the beautiful earth........it loves you so much for doing what you are doing.......
Love your videos and enjoy watching them every time they come on. May the lord bless and protect you and Theo and planting your raised garden beds and protect the animals
One thing I did this year planting to save water, I cut off the bottoms of pop bottles took the lids off of course, I inverted them into the soil beside Each tomatoe plant so that it would water the roots deep, I had the best most gigantic prolific harvest ever, give it a try. ALSO in a gallon of water soak a banana peel overnight, discard the peel, keep the water, pour into those buried inverted pop bottled Tomatoes just Love this potassium rich fertile. Do it once ever 3 weeks, also give your tomatoes something to climb, 3 plants, I had over 100 tomatoes each plant
Bea, you're going to have a lot of satisfaction growing, picking, cooking and eating your home grown food. Can't wait to see things growing.
I love seeing you and Bee so happy !! I feel like your home has healed you , I see you glow !! It’s precious watching the two of you . Thanks for sharing your lives with me . ❤
Hi, Bee and Theo. I love watching you two doing chores on the land! Those are some very lucky chickens. Bee, you look after your animals so lovingly… it warms my heart to watch you. You picked an awesome location for your raised beds. I’m sure that your veggies and herbs will flourish in the hugel culture system that you created. See you next week❤️❤️
Consider the heat being reflected by the driveway pavers and the stone the beds are sitting on, you’ve mentioned quite often how hot the summer is, your watering system will need to be regular and also penetrate deeply into the beds to both cool and water them.
if you can get the soaker hoses that are made to leave in the soil to and you can even get a timer to turn on the water at the best time of day for you to refresh them.
Thinking doing your method but on pavers will mean soil and water spilling out from the bottom. Thinks it’s best to do it on top of earth that method. I’d put some kind of greenhouse fabric on the bottom and up the sides a bit to help keep in the contents
Our two, wonderful Brituguese farmers 🤗❤
Wonderful to see the steady progress and the happiness emanating from both of you.
Such joy to see you both so happy. Garden will be awesome……you are so blessed, both of you.
And you guys are moving right along. Awesome !!!!
I so love to watch you young people as well some who are a little bit older who are working so hard to establish yourselves in beautiful new (or old) homes, resulting in a much happier lives.
A perfect place for your kitchen garden. I'm pretty sure you will have many happy times playing in the soil. Happy growing Bea. ❤
Garden beds are going to be fantastic in that placement. Can't wait to see it grow! Life is beautiful ❤️
Theo makes a good Lumberjack, as he is very skillful in felling trees.
I believe that is a catalpa tree. It has clusters of white speckled flowers in spring that smell wonderful
Your raised garden looks wonderful, looking foreward to what you are going to plant in them!!! See you next time!!!! Big hug!!!!
I love the new metal manufactured raised veggie beds you bought. I remember the ones you built at the off-grid barn/tiny home project site. I had thought of building my own with used materials, but I like the ones you have and have been looking online at local home improvement merchants in my area. I have a good source of decaying wood on my properties that I can gather to eventually be placed in the bottom of my future raised beds.
Bea is in her happy place!
I would suggest that you allow more room between the three large raised beds. Once planted the veg themselves will (may) overhang and you may find it difficult to negotiate between them for harvesting etc. The outside one looks like it could be moved right to the edge of patio allowing for more space between all of them.
Hello B & T, I admire you so much. I have been seeing you for year and I like to thank you for all your videos , I LOVE THEM !!
About the issue that you have with the ants , the best solution is natural lemon juice...they hate it...
Another tip for your orchard is to put ashes of the wood fire around the veggies to avoid the snails from eaten them.
I hope this tips help you.
keep being so marvelous and enjoy life. Best wishes for both.
Looking better and better all the time. What will the house on Miracle Mountain will look like 5 years from now? One wonders ? All the best from the best in DIY. 👍👍 Harriet, Jim and Yuki
It’s great your veggie gardens are so close to the house - right outside your lovely veranda. So very nice. ❤️🍅🥦🥬🫑

Planting and growing your crops
😊😊😊😊

Watching old video. Lovely to see Bee ❤️
Bee & Theo you seem alot happier living at Magic Mountain. I love where you chose your veggie garden. The forest is wonderful.
My understanding of Hugo culture purpose is that the wood actually retain the water rain and there for the pants can have a supply of water during the dry months
Good morning from Canada. Love your new garden beds. Happy Growing,!
Bea, you are looking fabulous! Love the happiness in your voice
So happy to see new location for veg/herb garden...zone 1...closest to house & water...congrats!!
superwork folks !!
So enjoyable to watch you both be so excited to take care of your land!! Your idea of putting the raised bed on patio is amazing.
It gave me an idea to put ours on hard surface. Which I’ve been trying to figure out where to put my veggie garden, the level surface is the key. Thank you for the idea.!!!
So exciting to see the start of a veggie bed again!
I just can't get enough of watching your amazing videos you both are so adorable together and bea always have a beautiful smile and just watching Leo he really loves you bea and I love both of you beautiful young couple your animals are so adorable Rosa
I know it's going to be awesome when Bea gets through with the raised beds. She certainly has a green thumb. And also, your hubby is a great helper.
When I lived in cairns we use to have a second roof over top of the caravans. 6 inches above the van for air follow between. It makes a Hugh difference for cooling the van. In my camper van I used the roof racks to put the second roof on. Used shade cloth folded several times. Was fabulous. The chickens will love it. Ps. I would make it wider than the original for the chickens as well seeing as it's a stable area .
Nice covering there Theo
I love your garden!! Such a cool way to do it
Bea, the raised beds will look amazing when they're all planted in. Happy gardening! 👍💕
That garden is going to be so nice, and it is close to the house so you can just walk out and get food when preparing your meals. Perfect place you picked.
As always in awe of your capacity to graft!
