Peglin for sure needs that!! May not necessarily be entertaining for us to watch, but I'd certainly okay the crap out of that mode
12:29 Tom, skipping reload granting muscircle in favor of bomb explosions in navigation giving 5 gold per explosion. Menu closes, shows its a chest navigation, which has 5 bombs. Map shows that no matter which side the ball goes, it goes to the same area. Tom, in his infinite wisdom, does not aim for the bombs and just goes for the navigation.

The build Tom mentioned that never came through with the Reorbanizer and the relic that leaves a stationary version of them has been the basis of a lot of my wacky early-Peglin builds! Hope it comes up and he gets to work with it (otherwise the reorbanisation is pretty trash tier)
I feel like any random peglin game eventually becomes a refresh build, unless you intentionally go for something else, because so many things proc off or into refreshes
Its mostly with the normal peglin, as the others get access to different orbs and relics.
Even without things that proc off of refreshes, refreshing the board is just really good. Hell, it's strictly necessary as generally hitting every peg on the pegboard just once doesn't give you enough damage to win each fight. Now, this isn't a huge concern if you're not doing cruciball as 2 refreshes is generally enough to get by. But once you start climbing the cruciball levels you pretty quickly learn that the most valuable thing in this game is ways to refresh the board more consistently, just for refreshing's own sake.
Glad we are back to playing with some balls
They should have an optional super healthy weak attack boss after the final boss or maybe something like the heart in climb the spire. Maybe you get 3 or 5 shots to do as much damage as possible.

This is why I keep asking for a bloat build. With the relics and the game almost nurturing you into a build, can you even lose anymore unless you just damage yourself to death?

I feel like the final bosses need a buff. It's like every video when you have a build going you just one shot the boss with multiball regardless of what build you make. Stronger final bosses to really see the build shine.

Summoning circle + doctorb is actually pretty good if it lines up nicely since the summoning circle doesn't destroy the doctorb when fired. Sure this time round you had better healing but it is something to consider.

jesus tom. please stop taking that stupid leaf. it's not just trash it's so harsh a debuff, it's grounds for asking this developer never to make another game. any build that could want it is better off without it. even nerfed the refresh peg buffing because you suddenly can only buff like 4 pegs at a time.

it once was op and got nerfed into the ground and still cut his damage in half here.
this was the one that made some shots never end which is why it doesn't actually refresh properly despite nothing else in the game being balanced to deal with such a ruinous effect.
of course nothing hypocritical about asking for help then whining about it afterwards... let alone having no skin in the game and whining anyway.

@@IndigoWhiskey What are you even talking about with "still cut his damage in half here"??? In the fight immediately before he took it, he was doing an average of 94.69 damage per shot. In the fight immediately after he took it, he did an average of 720.33 damage. Now, granted, in that fight you hit 2 pegs at once due to the mirror gimmick, but even if you cut the damage in half to account for that he more than tripled his damage.
But that's quite a dense pegboard compared to the mole boss, ok, well the next fight after that was the knight fight with the two rows of moving pegs that's one of the least dense pegboards in the game. His average damage here was 193 damage. That's still over double the damage from before. And bear in mind, his run's greatest strength was scaling from buffing pegs and gaining self buffs from lots of refreshing, meaning his damage increases over time. The fights in act 2 were 3 shots and 6 shots respectively, whereas the mole boss took 13 shots. As a fight goes longer, Tom's build picks up more buffs, so you would expect that the longer a fight goes, the higher Tom's DPS gets, so the mole boss fight should have the higher DPS, instead of the lowest by far. So maybe, the relic he picked up caused some kind of massive spike in his damage.
But maybe another boss relic he was offered would have given a bigger boost? Unpretentious pendant would suck because all his balls wanted to crit to do good damage. The sapper sack wouldn't have helped that much as he had no way to add extra bombs to the board, plus it could turn bomb heavy stages into massive liabilities. The wand of skulltimate power was the best alternative offered, and how would that compare? The upside is obvious, it doubles his damage, but as I've shown, the leaf the rest for later more than doubled his damage, so it had more upside. And what about the downsides? Well, leaf the rest for later doesn't really have one since the recent buff. It used to have a problem where the pegboard would reach a point that it's very empty once you hit a lot of pegs, but if you're remotely good at hitting refreshes that doesn't really happen any more. Wand of skulltimate power, however, has the very noticeable downside that it does a lot of self damage to you. So really, leaf the rest for later was the best option offered to him for that boss relic.
Honestly, the way you're talking about this, I can only assume you stopped watching the video out of some gut reaction the moment Tom picked the relic, because just watching the first fight after that shows how good the relic is now and how well it synergises with the relics Tom had already picked up. If you're going to criticise someone, the very least you can do is try to make sure that your criticism is grounded in actual reality.
