Right?! Sphear is honestly one of my favorite orbs in the game.
I love Tom but his degenerate decision making in Peglin drives me up the wall sometimes.
Tom not realising the bullwark was absorbing the wand of skultimate power damage was pretty spot on.
The Sphear *really* doesn't seem like much until a build like this hits and suddenly it oneshots a boss, lol
Glad he _finally_ gave it the Level 3 Upgrade before the end.
It's great on the Roundrel because it can debuff multiple targets at once. Pair it with the relic that forces Bramble and Blind, and holy hell can a few Sphears tear through anything that moves.
Sphear is the best version of Icircle
Thanks to Tom, I can't help but think of the Muscircle ability as, _“M'circle”_ **tips fedora** every time I read it now.

@@aparadigm8 …no, it isn't. Let's look at the *real* wordplay being done here first to show why:
The names are just a convenient portmanteau of the power mixed with a letter overlap of something orb-like: "Sphear" (Spear/Sphere), Pebball (Pebble/Ball), Bouldorb (Boulder/Orb), "Ballwark" (Ball/Bullwark), "Spinfection" (Spin/Infection), & "Muscircle" (Muscle/Circle). Those all match that base name scheme design pattern without ANY additional external reference whatsoever.
Now when you have something in the game like the "Angry Tomahawk" that doesn't match the core ability+round portmanteau pattern, it's easier to make a well-founded hypothesis that it's an intentional "Angory Tom" reference pulling that external reference as a primary source for the joke. That's not the case with Muscircle.
There's nothing about the katana-wielding, fedora-tipping _“M'lady.”_ meme that's about body building or physical strength that seems to have been ANY inspiration to that power being named "Muscircle." Instead, that correlation seems to be *_solely_* spreading as an emergent quality from people pronouncing it when speaking rather than an intrinsic one for how it's written.
So _that's not _*_literally_*_ what the joke is - even if it's what the main joke gradually becomes over time._
Be careful about attempting to correct people before you know what you're talking about, but _especially_ when you're doing so in a needlessly condescending tone.

The Sphear is actually a pretty slept on good orb. It isn't the best but it is a solid mid level orb that can really carry it's weight
Especially for those (cursed) runs when you don't get an Overwhammer, a levelled up Sphear is sure better than nothing!
Yeah, even before the Balladin got buffed with the new passive, I thought he was a stronger character than the Roundrel just because he started with a Sphear instead of a Daggorb. That extra pierce is so useful for 2/3 act 1 elites, 1/2 act one bosses, essentially every basic fight and especially in the castle. Does kinda suck if you get early minotaur tho.
@@KerryBenton You shouldn't rely on getting overwhammer or you're asking to lose, it's a blessing more than not having it is a curse.

There are multiple Pally Bulwark builds that can get completely ridiculous. It is definitely worth playing through again if you're looking for completely broken builds.
I have over 300 hours into PEglin now, all thanks to Tom. Love this game. I always play a game along to his videos about it.

The sphear hitting 4 enemies is pretty good imho it's a good orb when you don't have overwhammer or bouldorb

When they changed the balladin, it kinda made it so that bulwark only builds were kinda pointless. Since you stack murcicle as you earn bulwark, you're pushed into a murcicle build.
Happy mask + barbell will make you go crazy no matter what though.

Peglin is so much like Binding of Isaac. If you can survive long enough, you will just stumble into a broken build and wreck face.
Why have defense when you could have sphear?
If you're still in the market for new fun builds, nimbal + multiball + summoning circle & morbidorb is WICKED fun
Anti-crit synergy needs to be a bit easier to reach IMO

Was rather worried at the Ballista fight there, but all turned out ok

I really kinda wish that in 1.0 there will be an option to sell relics. Not pay to remove but sell based on rarity. It would open up additional ways to build your decks and could make "pacifist" runs viable.

Muscircle needs a serious rework for the massive balance issues. It would be really fun if it wasn't so incredibly overpowered.
I much prefer Bucklorb to the Protectorb but that's just me, you used the latter very well in this run.

Use Bad Cheese and Round Shield and get only as many orbs as you can discard. Bad Cheese will do 20 dmg to all times the number of reloads you have made round shield blocks all dmg during reload. How I did difficulty lvl 14 and 15 with 0 effort
