The first 99% of the run was absolutely "one for the purists" and felt like an absolute grind. But that final boss fight was a treat.

honestly, at high cruciball, pebballs are a staple since you just don't make get rid of pebball money anymore

I want to add, thanks to Tom's videos on Peglin, I bought the game on mobile. I have sunk over 100 hours on it. And now have got every achievement and completed each class 15 cruciball. I just wanted to share this as no one else I know plays it!
Yes, i’m on level 14 of the cruciball with about 70 hours in the game!

a big update that would be nice is a 4th area that's tuned for really good builds and then a 5th area which would only be accessible by the most broken fully complete builds possible and intended to end runs instead of having a half baked build still stomp the last boss

@S4B3R117 Tom still is playing early levels. I've been stuck on level 14 for weeks now. After about 10 the game really slaps down any build that doesn't have good synergy

@@ZoahPorre Between the Multiball, lack of upgrades on the SpinPoint, and then taking the damned Shackles again (after saying in the last video he'd NEVER use them again because they royally screw up navigation and targeting) my kid had to remind me several times that Tom can't hear me screaming at the screen.

Maaaann imagine having the relic that lets you increase crit damage by activating multiple crits on this build....
That spinpoint with 0/73? It would get 146 damage/peg for each crit hit. That shot hit 6 crits, and would have done 110,376 damage total. Not the highest by any means, but still, fun to think about. :)
I'd actually argue that Spinpoint is worse at abusing Spinesse than Ball Lightning. Spinpoint only triples Spinesse on a peg hit while Ball Lighting usually activates 4 pegs and usually quadruples it, it's also better at activating refreshes (and money) meaning it also can make your board healthier pegwise.
Tom, please, for the love of god, when you have 400+ gold you can do more than one money-spend per post-battle! You can upgrade your orbs a couple times! Or heal and upgrade an Orb! You have _so much money_
You can do a pebball only run. Just buy them and duplicate whenever you can, absolutely bloat your deck and keep them upgraded and hope for the backpack relic - they get massive damage. It's a boring build but it did get me through a few times.

I find it odd that in the Castle the knight’s shields don’t block one of the main things you think of shields blocking; a sword haha

I wouldn't be surprised, back in the first versions of the game back before there were coins and shops you either could upgrade, heal, or get a new orb.

Killing the rainbow slime causes coins to spawn on the map, so it's a good thing it dies
Has the Multiball relic EVER been a good choice? I feel like it only ever either kills a run on the spot or the build was already so broken OP that it's basically irrelevant

God damn, Spinesse, Bomb, Gold or even just Multiball Builds have nothing on the Scuff/Clutch Build XD my goodness, but goodness me Is Dis Your Card really just save it, pulled things right around my god, hopefully a future build will get that early enough to use it fully

Can't be the only one who thinks multiball just isn't worth it and just rubbish
I feel like its hard to lose at thos point, maube cuaee we only see wins now but like most first area was no set build, second area was lower the damage of balls, no way ot increasing damage so shots did little damage, only saved by pebballs somehow, then it was just get orb that gives spinness. Which the only orb that combos he waited till last second to upgrade. I mean tom knew himself it was scuffed but no offense i love tom it just feels hard to lose. I remember the old days when it seemed he chose better but would still lose
He also is doing the "easy" mode where there is no debuffs. In cruciball, you do have to play well and have the right builds or you'll fail

For anyone thinking of buying Peglin if they have not at this point just know you'll get bored really fast and the devs always say oh there will be a big update and all it is usually is different balls tweaks the crucibal mode is extremely unbalanced and not in you're favor I have 175.8hrs into it and at this point its extremely boring since there's never been new maps or main bosses watching tom is fun though
