I love how fitting it is that Tom's nemesis is the Upside Down Man and his favorite orb is Bouldorb. It makes for such a good rivalry.

While the skipping of scaling max hp gain early on is a mistake, I think it was justified to pick up the flat max hp later (since he now had constant self-damage, and that's one way to counter it)
@@Dr.Death8520 But he also refused the Infernal Ingot, which, unless I'm mistaken, easily outpaces his self-damage AND does targeted damage.
The rainbow fan is so good. It is probably one of the best survival relics here. The earlier you get it the better it is.

IF you attempt to apply blind AND the target is not bramballed
THEN apply blind and 1 bramball.
ELSE just apply blind

Get yourself someone who looks at you the way Tom looks at Bouldorb. I feel the only way Bouldorb could be dethroned as Tom's favourite is if there were a dice ball to match the dice relic. I mean, a D100 is basically already a sphere. I kinda want to see Tom run a Call of Cthulhu, but everyone rolls one of those stupid D100 orbs for every roll into a tray that'll just let it roll to its heart's content. I will know it's coming up when I read the article "Bristol Editor Jumps from 4th Floor Window."

Bouldorb give it his very best, even when he can't jump very high
So the artifact that reduces your hp you passed up, I can’t remember if it is every 3 or 5 hits, leeches 1 health from the targeted enemy. When you had the staff that gives double damage, but deals damage when you hit 25 orbs, negates that, and then some. For builds like this one, a solid one to take.

Tom having bonus health and not taking the special relic that heals you constantly at the cost of some HP was such a wild choice. That relic genuinely feels overpowered when I play, it's so weird seeing Tom not use it.
Always enjoy when Tom gets reunited with his family.

I tell you, Bouldorb is such a good boy, and always does as he's told. I mean, you saw how he pivoted right after being asked, and with such grace

Watching Tom passing Grinding Monstera right before seeing Salt Shaker was heartbreaking, what a tragedy.
Imagine, the sheer level of HP he could have got... hopefully he gives the Grinding Monstera a shot in another video. If you get it early, it's kinda stupid how high your max HP gets by the time you get to the final boss, even without Salt Shaker. Although the Intentional Oboe is not a bad pick by any means, I didn't even realize it nullified spiders!
Exactly what I was thinking, down to the wording. Passing Monstera for Oboe, especially while still relatively early in the run? Questionable. Seeing Salt Shaker immediately after? Truly heartbreaking. At least Oboe still came a bit good with Skulltimate in the end.
@@JosephToastar Not only passing on Monstera early on, but doing it with double-Bouldorb. And then taking Wall Chicken very near the end of the run. I don't understand why Tom never takes Monstera; it's so good! Especially paired with Infernal Ingot, which he also never takes. :(

Surprised you didn't take the Summoning Circle. I know it in itself isn't a stone, but would have led to even more Bouldorbs.

Sadly, that's nothing new. He almost always does that when he gets a new orb he wants to use: fully upgrades it immediately.
